  1. This image does in fact not show what its description states, viz. a George II 2 Guineas piece dated 1738. Despite its poor resolution, the year 1732 can be recognized on the reverse, not 1738. More importantly, it is not a 2 Guineas piece altogether (SCBC 3667A as per the description), having a different reverse: 4 cruciform shields, not "crowned coat-of-arms" as stated. (It would rather be a Shilling or Sixpence piece, SCBC 3698 or 3707.)
  2. Even given the image was uploaded 16+ years ago, it has poor resolution and contrast; a correct, hi-res image of a 2 Guineas coin dated 1738 has since been uploaded at File:George II, Two-Guineas, 1738.jpg.

So as it is, this image alas has no encyclopedic value. I have already contacted the original uploader and he has replied positively on the Talk page a while ago.

For the above reasons I am now requesting deletion of this image. Thanks, --HReuter (talk) 22:08, 5 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Kept: Per Ikan Kekek. If the name is misleading, propose a better name and the image can be renamed; not a reason for deletion. --Infrogmation of New Orleans (talk) 22:10, 15 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
