English: The table on the left denotes the first 24 primes. From this table, the column to the right denotes the interior makeup of these primes in red, provided they are 5 or more. The table on the right denotes the same interior makeup, reversed, and recorded in reverse order. When a bit is reversed, the lowest bit becomes the highest bit, the second lowest bit becomes the second highest bit, the third lowest bit becomes the third highest bit, and so on. Of course, we are only talking about bits above Bit 0, and less than the highest nonzero bit. In short, the interior bits. Reversal of bits is similar to a Boolean operation, inasmuch as it involves resequencing the bits without actually losing any of the bits. |
