The erstwhile kingdom was spread over the region of [[Uttarandhra]] and Southern Odisha. Jeypore is surrounded by hills of the [[Eastern Ghats]] and the [[Araku]] hills on three sides like a horseshoe with the western side opening up to [[Chhattisgarh]] in central India.
