I couldn't tell you where I read it, but I remember reading that the chain originated from a single California location, at the time called ''Casa'' del Taco, a much more grammatically reasonable moniker, which was shortened not long thereafter, which would explain the chain's odd name. --[[User:4.245.93.34|4.245.93.34]] 09:09, 16 May 2006 (UTC)
