I am a distant descendant of the Roosevelt family, Adams family, Hoffman family, De Witt (family), Coffin (whaling family), and an American branch of the Thornycroft family. I am a descendant of U.S. Representative Cornelius C. Schoonmaker, Mayflower Pilgrim John Howland, New Amsterdam founding father Joris Jansen Rapelje, early Hudson Valley landowner Johannes Hardenbergh, and Dutch-American "Knickerbocker" namesake Harmen Jansen Knickerbocker^[1].
