Daere Afonya-a Akobo

Daere Afonya-a Akobo is a Nigerian entrepreneur and the Chairman of PANA Holdings, Founder and Group Managing Director of PE Energy Limited.[1]

Education

Akobo holds a degree in applied physics from Rivers State University and is an alumnus of the Harvard Business School, Rivers State University, Port Harcourt, the INSEAD Business School, the Jack Welch Management Institute.[2][3]

Career

Afonya has over 24 years of experience in the operations of the oil and gas sector across a wide range of disciplines, including electrical, flow measurement, sales, and procurement.[4][5] Afonya specialized in flow metering, vibration and condition monitoring, instrumentation, and control, which propelled his success in the Sub-Saharan African Oil and Gas sector.[6][7]

Afonya is the Chairman of PANA Holdings, Founder and Group Managing Director of PE Energy Limited.[8][9] Afonya lives by the mantra: "A dream without a deadline is a nightmare." [10][11]
