Both Vary and I seem to think that if the articles are radically shortened and put in a list of 10th Kingdom characters (per WP:FICT for lesser important characters), there'd be no need for deletion. I'd even be willing to do the grunt work. Would you please return to the deletion debate and consider changing your vote to a shorten, merge and redirect into a list? - Mgm|(talk) 09:29, 23 August 2006 (UTC)
Middle-earth tense
Thnks for your recent edits to the Middle-earth related articles. I have only one objection: using of present tense. WP:WAF indeed states that articles on fictional characters are to be written in present tense, but M-e related pages are among the few exceptions. The reason is that not a book plot is being discussed, but rather a history of a world - indeed, as JRRT himself wrote, the history of our own world. A consensus was reached on WT:Me to use past tense, and before editing pages to present the discussion at least must be renewed - though there's little hope in changing current standards. Your additions to the List of Fictional Astronauts
Thanks for your additions to the list I've tended to focus on the literary side of things and left the film/TV side of it slide. In answer to your question about the Zeus crews from Dr Who I'd suggest that you put them in the 'Futuristic' section. It's what I did with 'Hunter-Killer' where you have something that does not quite fit into the orderly sequence of things. Just remember to include both date of publication and the date the episodes are supposed to be set which is the 1980's from memory.Graham1973 (talk) 11:57, 11 June 2011 (UTC)
- Where did you find a copy of Apollo at Go? I've been looking for it where I am for while now.Graham1973 (talk) 14:21, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
- I ordered Apollo at Go by inter-library loan from the Boston Public Library. Gildir (talk) 14:25, 29 June 2011 (UTC)
I saw that you've changed the reference format for Apollo at Go. I'd like to propose we reformat the whole reference section (Books at least) to conform to the same format. Obviously it's going to be quite a time consuming task, so perhaps we split it?Graham1973 (talk) 02:09, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- I am certainly willing to work on this as time allows. :-) Gildir (talk) 22:26, 27 February 2012 (UTC)
- I just saw the changes you made, thanks for doing those. Though you did beat me to it I had planned to work on it tonight.Graham1973 (talk) 11:30, 29 February 2012 (UTC)
- You're welcome. :-) Gildir (talk) 18:25, 29 February 2012 (UTC)

Chase Rettig proofing and new article removal
Hello there Gildir. Would you care to exchange proofing? We both posted requests today. I am looking for feedback and 'new article' tag removal for The Virtual Stage. If you care to do that, I will return the favour for the same for the Chase Rettig page.
New messages.
You have a new message at Wikipedia:Requests_for_feedback/2011_August_22#Chase_Rettig and my talk page.--Ykraps (talk) 15:17, 25 August 2011 (UTC)

Chzz ► 06:09, 22 October 2011 (UTC)Disambiguation link notification
Hi, this message is to let you know about disambiguation links you've recently created. A link to a disambiguation page is almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. For more information, see the FAQ or drop a line at the DPL WikiProject.

Hello, I read the Joseph B. MacInnis article with interest. What is your relationship to him?--Wpwatchdog (talk) 16:24, 31 December 2011 (UTC)
- No relationship whatsoever. Joseph B. MacInnis is one of a long series of articles I have been writing on aquanauts and people connected to underwater diving. Gildir (talk) 14:16, 3 January 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for letting me know. He is definitely notable in the underwater diving world.--Wpwatchdog (talk) 13:03, 5 January 2012 (UTC)
Re:File:Dewey_Smith_through_viewport.jpg
Thank you for uploading free images/media to Wikipedia! As you may know, there is another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please upload media there instead (see m:Help:Unified login). That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. If you wish to move previous uploads to Commons, see Wikipedia:Moving images to the Commons (you may view your previous uploads). Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Help us spread the word about Commons by informing other users, and please continue uploading! Bulwersator (talk) 23:28, 5 February 2012 (UTC)
Wikipedia:Autopatrolled
You should look into having Autopatrolled status. See Wikipedia:Autopatrolled. I could nominate you, or you can nominate yourself. Then your new articles will be accepted without being in the new article list. --DThomsen8 (talk) 18:53, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
- Thank you for the flattering suggestion! I have now nominated myself for this status. (I deleted an earlier reply to you on this page because I realized that I had created 49 articles rather than 47.) Thanks again for your feedback. :-) Gildir (talk) 20:21, 28 March 2012 (UTC)
