Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/User:Ianwikramanayake/draft

The following discussion is an archived debate of the proposed deletion of the miscellaneous page below. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made on the appropriate discussion page (such as the page's talk page or in a deletion review). No further edits should be made to this page.

The result of the discussion was: Delete. It appears that this editor's changes were made to the article, then reverted and userfied, then re-applied later. Based on that, I'd say a history merge shouldn't be necessary since the content is already attributed in the history. RL0919 (talk) 23:17, 12 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

See Pure Storage and OTRS Ticket#2018110210006552 - material was a copy/paste to eliminate copyvio issue. History merge of User draft TP may be appropriate but will leave that with the closing admin to decide. Atsme✍🏻📧 18:11, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Legacypac - it's a user page draft that is subject of this MfD. As you discovered, the material has already been reviewed and copy/pasted to mainspace (via me as an OTRS agent). I probably should have requested a different kind of MfD (or let an admin do move and history merge) but since this was an OTRS issue, I went ahead and tried to save admins a bit of time. Unfortunately, I'm not all that familiar with the options available in cases like this one. Perhaps the user draft should've been speedy deleted by an admin, rather than brought here. I posted my question on the TP of TonyBallioni looking for his advice on how best to go about this in the future. Atsme✍🏻📧 18:56, 5 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Pssst, Robert...I’ve learned that arguing with oneself brings the best results and rarely ends in a block or t-ban. Atsme✍🏻📧 04:19, 6 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
