Speedy deletion of Image:World economic forum logo.png

A tag has been placed on Image:World economic forum logo.png, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done for the following reason:

This is a commercial logo. A username doesn't prove an authorship.

Image permission problem with Image:World economic forum logo.png

Image Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading Image:World economic forum logo.png, which you've sourced to self-made. I noticed that that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the image (or other media file) agreed to license it under the given license.

If you created this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the GFDL or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to [email protected], stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here.

Your Username

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia!

I hope not to seem unfriendly or make you feel unwelcome, but I noticed your username, and I am concerned that it might not meet Wikipedia's username policy for the following reason: It appears to be the name of a company or group; please see the section of the username policy Wikipedia:Username_policy#Company.2Fgroup_names. After you look over that policy, could we discuss that concern here?

I'd appreciate learning your own views, for instance your reasons for wanting this particular name, and what alternative username you might accept that avoids raising this concern.

You have several options freely available to you:

• If you can relieve my concern through discussing it here, I can stop worrying about it.
• If the two of us can't agree here, we can ask for help through Wikipedia's dispute resolution process, such as requesting comments from other Wikipedians. Wikipedia administrators usually abide by agreements reached through this process.
• You can keep your contributions history under a new username. Visit Wikipedia:Changing username and follow the guidelines there.

I understand your concerns about the World Economic Forum using its organisation's name as our username on Wikipedia. I thought it would be better to use the Forum's official name to clearly identify all our edits. Since the use of a company as a username is not prohibited I tend to believe that it is the right way. Your uploads: Now Commons

Sehr geehrter Herr Lüfkens, ihre Uploads inclusive der Logos wurden unter beibehaltung aller Informationen nach Wikimedia Commons transferiert. Commons ist das gemeinsamen Dateiarchiv aller Wikimedia Projekte incl. Wikipedia in 250 Sprachen. Sie können die Bilder in commons:Category:World Economic Forum sehen. Alle Ihre Bilder die auch auf Flickr zu finden sind benutzen ein spezifischen Lizenzbaustein, commons:Template:WEF. Während Dateien, die hier in der Wikipedia hochgeladen wurden auch nur in der englischen Wikipedia in Artikel eingebunden werden können, können Dateien auf Commons von allen Projekten genutzt werden. An bisherigen Einbindungen in Artikel ändert sich dabei nichts. Vielen Dank für ihre zahlreichen Beiträge die sie zur Wikipedia direkt bzw. durch Flickr beigesteuert haben. Sehr geehrter Martin H. vielen Dank für das Einbinden unserer Fotos und Logos in der Wikimedia Commons. Wenn ich Sie richtig verstanden habe muss ich ab jetzt alle Bilder die wir selber hochladen mit commons:Template:WEF taggen? Darüberhinaus habe ich eine Kategorie mit einem Rechtschreibefehler gefunden: [[4]] Sind dort die gleichen Bilder wie hier?
