Guajolota is the name given to the traditional tamale torta (Mexican tamale sandwich) in Mexico City, one tamale inside in a bolillo or telera (Mexican bread), part of the typical food in Mexico's capital life.

In the guajolotas family you also can find the Oaxaca's tamale guajolota. Part of the tradition is to drink hot atole when you are eating a guajolota, they have various flavors of atole, for example vanilla, chocolate, rice and guava.

It is common to find this tamale tortas near to offices, markets and neighborhoods and specially the Sunday morning outside churches.
