The Long Goodbye Tour is a forthcoming worldwide concert tour by British hard rock band Deep Purple. Its end date has not yet been announced. The tour will serve as support for the forthcoming Deep Purple studio album, Infinite.

Background

Despite the tour's title, there has been no other comment from the band or its management with regards to any finality of the tour.

Drummer Ian Paice suffered a minor stroke in June 2016, which affected his right hand and fingers.[1] This led to some Deep Purple concerts in Scandinavia being cancelled, and were the first of the band's shows he had missed since Deep Purple's formation in 1968.[2]

Deep Purple's new studio album, Infinite, will be released in early 2017, with the first single scheduled for release on 20 January.

Europe (May-July 2017)

A number of dates across mainland Europe between May and July 2017 have been listed on ticketing websites. These will conclude with an appearance at Barcelona Rock Fest on 1 July.

United Kingdom (November 2017)

The band will be supported by Europe during its November 2017 dates, taking place in Birmingham, Manchester, Cardiff, Glasgow and London.[3] These dates are currently the only officially confirmed concerts.
