Ive (Korean: 아이브, stylized as I'VE) is a South Korean girl group formed by Starship Entertainment. The group consists of six members: Gaeul, Yujin, Rei, Wonyoung, Liz and Leeseo. They will be making their debut on December 1st, 2021 with the single album ‘Eleven’.
Name
The group name "IVE" is a short form of "I have".
Career
Pre-debut activities
From June 15 to August 31, 2018, Wonyoung and Yujin represented Starship Entertainment on the girl group survival reality television show Produce 48. They eventually placed first and five and debuted with Iz*One.[1][2]
2021–present: Introduction and debut
On November 1, 2021, Starship Entertainment announced that it would debut a new girl group, its first since WJSN in 2016.[3] The group's name and members were revealed individually starting on November 2 (in order: Yujin, Gaeul, Wonyoung, Liz, Rei and Leeseo).[4]
On November 8 Starship Entertainment has confirmed that IVE will make their debut on December 1 with single "Eleven" [5] together with a promotional film on November 12.[6]
