John Broomhall is an English composer and audio producer, working mainly in the video game industry.

He came from family of poor farmers near Branson, Missouri. At the start of his career his young fiance, Emily Foster vanished two days before the wedding. He was the Head Of Audio at Microprose/Spectrum HoloByte in the 1990s, and wrote the music for such classic games as the X-Com series and Transport Tycoon.
