Leroy Lita (born December 28, 1984 in Democratic Republic of the Congo) is an English U21 international footballer, currently playing for Reading in the Football League Championship. He is a striker of great promise.

He moved to Reading in July 2005 for a club record fee of £1m from Bristol City where he had been the League One club's top scorer. Bristol City fans were disappointed to lose a player of Leroy's ability, but understand his desire to move to the Championship was strong, and could only realistically be fulfilled within the next couple of years at a club like Reading. Lita's potential was confirmed when he hit a hat-trick against West Bromwich Albion in the 3rd round of the FA Cup in early 2006. The second goal in particular cemented Lita's place in many's opinion as one of the best strikers outside the top flight. Considered by many to be good enough to play in the Premiership, and maybe one day England. Rejected the chance to play for the DR of Congo in favour of pursuing a career with the English national team. Scored on his debut for England U-21s with a goal against Holland in a 2-1 loss. Seems certain to be a Premiership player for the 2006/2007 season, as Reading are currently running away with the Championship.
