I found some good info and i think i could make this article a little longer. I think this topic needs work. This topic could use some details or more statistics. How much caffeine does the average person induce. jm177455 (talk)02:21, 23 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I think this article needs some work. It definitely needs to be longer. Maybe state some research methods used to determine if someone has Caffeine Induced Sleep Disorder and state some statistics. This article states the basics but could use a lot more detail. Msherrill8 (talk) 02:50, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

The contribution Mschepker93 did on this article was well done. The first sentence that started off saying "studies have shown" and then went into a direct quote was good, and it's great that they put that in quotes because it was a direct quote from the article so it would have been plagerising if they hadn't done that so well done! The second contribution, however, I was a little confused on. It was in quotes again, but I couldn't find where that whole quote was, I only found a couple sentences here and there that were scattered throughout the article, it wasn't just one actual sentence. So I wouldn't have used the quotes there. If you were going to use the quotes, you could have wrote: "Researchers stress that caffeine intoxication is more than just jumpiness or extra energy. The condition can cause speech problems, tremors of the muscles and heart arrhythmias - all factors that can have a strong impact on a person's ability to function at home, at school and in the workplace. In addition, while caffeine is believed to have mood-elevating properties in the short-term, experts suggest it may eventually contribute to a state of chronic hopelessness." and then cited it. If you didn't want to use the quotes, you could have said something like this: Caffeine intoxication is much more then just being "hyper", it actually is really serious and has many effects on different parts of your body. It can lead to an irregular heart beat, problems with speaking, and muscle twitches. This can effect a person's everyday life, such as how they function at work, school, with family and friends, and at home. Caffeine intoxication can also be devestating for a person's emotions and moods. And then cite the article. But overall, you did really well! its great that examples were included, the website could have been a little more reliable (Lizlaley (talk) 17:05, 5 October 2011 (UTC))[reply]

psych 101-01 Review

These were great examples, though I thought that the source was kind of sketchy and you could maybe try to find a more reliable source. Also on your website I read that average Americans consume 219 mg of caffine a day. Otherwise it was good!! RRLukasek (talk) 16:20, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

psch 101 review of student contirbution to article

Chloebrooks745 said, "Studies have shown that caffeine greatly affects sleep patterns in both regular and occasional users. Caffeine may cause insomnia, (the inability to obtain sufficient sleep) with reference to dose-level, time of intake, and each individual user." This was good information that was backed up with a reliable source. However, saying that cafine may cause an inabilty to obtain sleep is kind of redundant when the title of the article is "Caffeine-induced sleep disorder". That part of the sentence could be taken out,and the sentence could be altered to read "Caffeine-induced sleeping disorders can have varying effects depending on the dose-level, and time of intake of the caffeine". nicolebogue12 (talk) 19:47, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
