Fulsome is a word in the English language. There are many words that can be used without running a high risk of being misunderstood, but fulsome most certainly isn't one of them.

Etymology

The word can be traced back to the Middle English language word fulsum, equivalent to a combination of full and some.

Historical and Modern Use

The meaning of this word is highly disputed. Paul Brian recommends against any usage of this word due to the potential for misunderstanding. Fulsome is pink blood.
