The Route Markers Department for WikiProject Highways creates and maintains route marker (a.k.a shield) graphics for use on road-transportation-related articles. The department is responsible for ensuring that shields are created as prototypical as possible. All editors are welcome to contribute and make requests as long as they do their best to ensure that the shield stays true to the original and others in the series in regards to spacing, colouration and its other attributes. Wherever possible, shields should be added to articles using the {{jct}} template (or {{AUshield}} for Australia). Note that U.S. markers are covered by the USRD Shields Department, this page covers the rest of the world.

Borderless NSW (Australia) route shields

New South Wales is changing their route markers from the proprietary "white border" shields to the borderless ones used by other states (see https://www.rms.nsw.gov.au/trafficinformation/downloads/ttd_2020-01.pdf). Before the AUshield template can be changed to use this style, we need borderless Australian alphanumeric route markers for the following route numbers:

  • M23
  • A23
  • A25
  • A28
  • A34
  • A36
  • A37
  • A38
  • A40
  • A41
  • A43
  • A44
  • A48
  • A49
  • B58
  • B59
  • B60
  • B65
  • B69
  • B70
  • B76
  • B87
  • B94
  • B95

Route numbers obtained from List_of_road_routes_in_New_South_Wales. Example of required style:
