Gretchen Lederer (née. Schwallenback, 23 May 1891 – 20 December 1955) was a German actress of the silent era.[1] She appeared in 87 films between 1912 and 1918. She was married to actor Otto Lederer.[2]
Early life
Lederer was born Greta Maria Schwallenback in Cologne, German Empire.[3] She married Otto Lederer around 1907 with whom she had a son. They lived in Springfield, Massachusetts before moving to Los Angeles to begin their acting careers.[4]
The couple divorced and Gretchen married Lewis Herbert Haney. She is interred with her son and both husbands at Forest Lawn Memorial Park.[5]
