English: Use of uncapitalized words "first" and "firstly" at the beginnings of sentences over the past 200 years, according to Google Books Ngram Viewer, 2012 English language corpus.[1] Note: Very different results are obtained from a query containing capitalized terms "First" and "Firstly" (as are more common at the beginnings of sentences)[2] or from a case-insensitive query.[3]
