Multiple Issues

This article deals with a term that in essence does not exist. There is no well recognized term by this name. The sources are (a) an outdated FTC decision (which does not refer to "Amway Safeguards Rule" and (b) a self-published op-ed by a small law firm that represents MLM companies (non WP:RS). The assertions of the article do not serve as the legal basis for defining a pyramid scheme or the difference relative to multilevel marketing and it is not consistent with the details of WP's articles on the topic.[1] It fails to meet notability guidelines, and it elements of WP:SYNTH and WP:OR. Of course there are multiple issues being a stub.

References to "Amway Safeguards" appears in other published literature, for instance, Developmental Editing, Scott Norton, University of Chicago Press, p. 17. So in a sense, the term does exist.

Of course, that is not as useful as any legal opinions. Remember that this article is a stub, and will need references from other places.

Probably better than deletion is to wait a bit and let someone else who has access to such information fill it in

The entire premise of the article is misleading as no such term is recognized by reliable sources and it has no distinct legal basis. It is not supported by even one reliable source. The appropriate fate would be prompt deletion. Rhode Island Red (talk) 16:33, 28 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]
