上巻は[[東南アジア]]、[[西アジア]]を中心にした中国から海路で行くことのできる各国（[[古琉球|流求国]]や[[倭国]]もある）の場所、習俗、特産物について、下巻は物産品の目録・[[カタログ]]である。西は[[シチリア島]]の記述もある。
