Ok, since this has gone off thread anyway, let me make a quick case for using svg markup inlined in html:

The reason for that was largely that correct client side math rendering requires web fonts in order to have any sorts of predictable quality.

But if you mark up your <math> wikitext with <math display=block>, you as the author of a wikitext document are *way* obviously meaning for the math to display as a block. Are you familiar with that functionality?

Div meets the intent of block math better. It might even be reasonable to mark it up as a paragraph in HTML 5.

This mode should remove the p that occurs prior to the div, as well as the closing tag.

@mobrovac could you suggest a URL that might be used in the Math Extension as default?

It's unclear to me what happened in this thread. IIUC @Andreg-p 's patch was merged and released which would indicate that this can be closed as resolved.

@Kulla I think (though I may be wrong) that T50032 is a broader tracking issue that covers various input and output issues around complex scripts.

The answer was given (equations need to adjust their baseline).

Given @TheDJ 's responsne, this issue seems invalid.

Adding div.wikibase-snakview { overflow: auto} might resolve this.

I've added this to T50118. Note that you can wrap things in`\text{}` (but it won't always look very good).

I cannot reproduce this (the linked page changed to an array but even playing around with content, I cannot reproduce an issue - things reflow ok now).
