The Democratic Front for the Liberation of Palestine (DFLP) is a Palestinian organization. It follows a political ideology of Marxist–Leninism and Maoism. It it also sometimes reffered as the Democratic Front or al-Jabha al-Dīmūqrāṭiyya in the Arabic language (الجبهة الديموقراطية). It is part of the Palestine Liberation Organization, the Alliance of Palestinian Forces, and the Democratic Alliance List. The group was formed in 1969 by breaking away from the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and was formed by Nayef Hawatmeh.[1]
