After receiving a journalism degree, Susan was an Undercover Private Investigator, worked as an outside Sales Rep for Dun & Bradstreet, and then spent five years in pharmaceutical sales. Today, she is living her dream with her high school sweetheart and their two daughters in The-Middle-of-Nowhere, Arizona, where she spends her days unleashing her rampant imagination and documenting all the crazy places it takes her.

A tribute to my Step Above Dad

There are Step Dads, and then there are men like you, Step Above Dads. Thank you,

For rising to the challenge when my biological dad couldn’t.

For teaching me to ride my bicycle.

For patiently grabbing the stop-watch while I ran around our driveway to test if my new shoes really were faster.

For introducing me to Johnny Cash and John Wayne.

For supporting my decision to play on the boy’s soccer team.
