Brain 🧠 recalculating for third person point of view……..
It’s been a hot minute since I’ve read a romance fantasy. Like almost an entire year type of hot minute.
Robin is a dental hygienist who recently got divorced from her ex husband. She goes into have a tattoo removed that has her Ex name. Robin specifically requested a female tattoo artist to do the cover up. But the artist she booked with was running behind because her client before Robin keep asking to take brakes. So that artist asked Brody to do the cover up for her. She felt the attraction and connection to him instantly. She just didn’t know why.
Brody wolf has a hard time remaining in control when Robin is around. So he’s scheduled an appointing at her dental office and he accidentally nicked her with his tooth which starts her transformation. He gives her time to come around to the fact that she is going to become a shifter like him. They work through all the up and downs of becoming a wolf shifter.
They get their HEA!!
They are both over 40
They is no cheating!

the transitions were so odd, they gave me whiplash most of the time, or just left me confused. also, i haven’t read books with 40 year old characters before and i wont be continuing that

An enjoyable read with Shifters and mates, and trouble around every corner. Nothing will keep these mates apart except miscommunication.
The pages kept turning because I wanted to know what happened.

There were many problems with this book, but the one at the forefront of my mind is the fact that the guy on the cover is a few DECADES older than the guy in the book. 😂

Accidentally Claiming His Mate . . .
Brody and Robin meet when she wants a tattoo coverup. She specifically signed up for a female tattoo artist, but Poppy’s current customer asked for so many breaks that she was running way behind and asked Brody to work on Robin. The tattoo her ex had put on her that said “Property of JC” was embarrassing enough, but it was on her hip and she was shy about exposing it to Brody. He was wonderful with her, however, and got her through the experience. His wolf, however, was going crazy the entire time! There was something about her unique scent, not like other humans.
Brody had asked about her job as a dental hygienist to relax her, and then told her he wanted to come by to have a tooth looked at. But when his wolf gets excited again, his sharp tooth nicked her finger and he has to tell her that she just may turn into a wolf very soon. Was this a good time to talk about mates? Would Robin be ready for this change in her life and the man who wants to share it with her?
This story line was really good, the writing excellent, the characters likable and a gentle humor interspersed as they got to know each other. Brody was patient and kind and it made an excellent start in getting to know each other. The narrator for the audiobook version, Elle Sonali, brings the “reading” experience alive for the listener. She does a good job with the voices to personalize the story and make it easy for the listener to get an accurate impression of what each character is like. It helps to set the mood, familiarize the reader with the characters, and offers a pleasant way to “read” and enjoy the book.

Robin only went into Brody’s tattoo shop to get the tattoo her ex-husband did covered up, but they felt a spark go through their bodies when he touched her, that had them flirting with each other during the session. Brody stepped in to try and guide her through the changes, but their lessons were interrupted when Robin was kidnapped.
However, their connection with the help of Brody’s family were able to work together to bring Robin back home safely, where she finally accepted all the changes that were occurring in her life and acknowledged her feelings for Brody. I really loved reading about the action-packed encounters and the hot and sexy intimate moments, but most of all, the storyline was about patience, understanding and family. I suggest you grab a copy and lose yourself in this awesome book.

Robin is determined to get have the tattoo her ex did changed so she can remove any reminder to him. It is at the tattoo parlor that she meets Brody. Brody and his wolf are drawn to Robin, so much so that he goes to visit her where she works as a dentist hygienist even though his teeth are fine. He knows that Robin is his mate and finds that he can't control his wolf and accidentally cuts Robin with his teeth. He knows what this means for Robin. Robin is stunned at the turn of events and is fearful that she will lose control over her life as she did with her ex. But with women turning up dead Robin finds herself in trouble and hopes that someone will find her before it is too late. A great addition to the series, where you see how well the pack works together. With intrigue and suspense throughout you want to keep turning the pages and find out what happens next. I look forward to the next one in the series.

This was a 40+ paranormal shifter romance.v
I love to see the hero/heroine both over forty, makes it more relatable for me. Good story with a surprising climax.
Robin is a recently divorced dental hygienist. She has an old tattoo she wants to get covered up.
Brody Glenwood is a wolf shifter and has been a tattoo artist for over twenty years. His two older brothers are the alpha and beta of his pack.
They meet when Robin goes to his tattoo parlor. He is very attracted to her and has to consciously try to control his wolf near her. He wants to see her again and makes an appointment at her dental office. During the exam his fang nicks her through the glove possibly starting her transition to a wolf shifter. He tries to tell her about it at dinner but she walks out. He eventually gets her to talk to him and he helps her get familiar with her wolf. Well, that is a twist that I did not see coming. Robin is ready for the next phase of her life after her divorce. She meet Brody, when she goes in to have a tattoo covered up.
Brody quickly realizes that Robin is his mate, wanting to see her again, he makes an appointment where she works to have his teeth cleaned. But nothing can be that simple when a slip has Brody's wolf going for what it wants.
Another amazing read. I love the character, their connection and their chemistry. Brody and Robin's story is an easy read that had me losing track of time and I did not want to put down.

I really enjoyed this one. The characters are well written and I liked their interacting. The plot is a good one, too with a couple twists. Brody the hunky shifter tattoo artist who finds his human mate in dental hygienist Robin. When he accidentally turns her he ‘s got to do some fast talking and hope she can come to terms with being a shifter. This one was easy to read from front to back because it was so engaging. And the ending of course is wonderful. I’ll be looking for more in this series.

Brody is a tattoo artist and met Robin at the shop. Immediately he knew that he wanted to see more of her. As usual Meg Ripley has the pulse on the shifter nation. She writes it so convincingly that I am starting to wonder who is a shifter when I am in a crowd, JK. These two series that Meg is doing, this one The Marked Over Forty and the last Fated Over Forty have been some of my favorite books and when she has an ARC come out I try to Jump all over it. Kudos to Ms. Ripley for another job well done.

A solid story for Brody and Robin
This story is about Rex’s little brother Brody. He is a talented tattoo artist with a big heart. Recently, Brody had his heartbroken by his ex-girlfriend and her son. The main focus for Brody now was his craft tattoo artistry and training the youngest pack members. Brody was working when Poppy asked him for a big favor to take one of her appointments. He was just sketching so agreed. When Brody saw Robin walk into his area, he knew that she was special to him. Read On!

Wolf’s Midlife Bite is the second title in the Shifter Nation spin-off, Marked Over Forty. This is a world that connects to the earlier series in Shifter Nation in a general way. I found that it’s possible to pick up each book individually and discover a steamy, engaging story without any problem. In my personal opinion, you’ll get a better overview of this world and know who the occasional familiar face is when they are mentioned if you’ve read the entire series (or at least that spinoff from the first story). You do what works for you; my opinion is just that… my own experience and thoughts. Each story is complete and can stand on its own if that is your style of reading.
Robin has finally ditched the ex-husband; she’s taking her life back. And one of the most important things to her is to cover up that tattoo he put on her, claiming her as his property. She never imagined that this simple act of self-freedom would take her into another world where magic, shifters, and the ultimate evil actually exist. One gorgeous, hot tattoo artist is about to change Robin’s life… and his own as well.
Brody is an artist first, a tattoo artist second, oh, and a wolf shifter always. He knows there’s something about his next, unexpected client that simply lingers in his mind as he calmly talks her down from the uncomfortable reaction to a male working on that disgusting tattoo. No one has the right to brand anyone, and he isn’t afraid to make that point clear as he beautifully changes something ugly into a statement of freedom for this lovely lady. His head may not have gotten the message that this woman is his mate, but his wolf certainly has… and neither is going to let her slip away without pursuing her.
I loved Brody and Robin together. There is an underlying tension in their story as other factors come into play, and we realize the real danger that is facing both Brody’s pack and Robin. One small slip on Brody’s part will fast forward what he wanted to the point of almost losing the woman he knows belongs with him. Robin’s reaction to her very real change of life is believable (for the genre), and her stubbornness will ultimately lead to a bit of an internal battle to actually believe Brody’s claims — that she’s now a wolf shifter, and that she’s his fated mate. Add in some vile villains, and you’ll find an intriguing, sexy, funny, witty, and engaging romance. Plus, we’re talking seasoned romance here, which I will always love because falling in love forever isn’t only for the younger crowd.

WOLF'S MIDLIFE BITE (Shifter Nation: Marked Over Forty) by Meg Ripley is the 2nd book I've read in this series. They can be read as standalone, but maybe it is because I am older, I am enjoying the books about over forty characters. Robin is a newly divorced free woman. On her list of things to do is to cover the tattoo that's got her ex's name on it. She has an appointment with a woman tattoo artist that she had heard good things about. The problem was, she was so in demand that she was over booked. But the lady asked her man co-worker, Brody Glenwood, if he could please help Robin with her tattoo. He said he would and helped her with leggings that were tight. They had an instant attraction to each other. Besides him being a so very talented tattoo artist, he also was a wolf shifter. The problem being she was a human. Since the tattoo she wanted covered was on her inner hip, he was working closely to an intimate area. He over-looked her being human and he asked her on a date. His inner wolf was happy about it, too! This date went over the top great. He wanted a reason to ask her out again, and since Robin's a dental assistant, Brody is going to make an appointment to get his teeth cleaned. Wolf shifters have perfect teeth and so does their wolf. The trouble happens when his wolf hears Robin even mention another male. She is flossing Brody's teeth, when one of his wolf's sharp teeth pops through, and accidentally bites her through the glove. She has not a clue that she is about to become a forty-year-old wolf lady. Brody has some explaining to do!

Great Addition To The Series!
Brody and Robin meet by accident when she comes into his tattoo studio for a tattoo to cover the bad one her ex gave her. It is her final step in freeing herself from a bad marriage and moving forward with her life. She almost bales when the girl that is supposed to do her tattoo is way behind and Brody comes in to do it. But Brody helps her with her fears and ends up doing a fantastic job.
Brody immediately recognizes Robin as his mate but doesn’t want to come on too strong for fear of chasing her off. She is obviously dealing with some stuff personal concerning her ex. But he can’t seem to stay away and even makes an appointment to get his perfect teeth cleaned just so he can see her again. When he accidentally looses control of his wolf for just a second and his sharp canines drop, Robin pricks her finger. Now he has to explain to her that she might turn into a wolf. Now that is going to be an interesting conversation!

Brody and Robin meet by accident when she comes into his tattoo studio for a tattoo to cover the bad one her ex gave her. It is her final step in freeing herself from a bad marriage and moving forward with her life. She almost bales when the girl that is supposed to do her tattoo is way behind and Brody comes in to do it. But Brody helps her with her fears and ends up doing a fantastic job.
Brody immediately recognizes Robin as his mate but doesn’t want to come on too strong for fear of chasing her off. She is obviously dealing with some stuff personal concerning her ex. But he can’t seem to stay away and even makes an appointment to get his perfect teeth cleaned just so he can see her again. When he accidentally looses control of his wolf for just a second and his sharp canines drop, Robin pricks her finger. Now he has to explain to her that she might turn into a wolf. Now that is going to be an interesting conversation!

A wonderful read, great characters and a simply splendid scenario
I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of this read the characters and the scenario was so well written and I have to say that the interaction between Brody and this woman that had come into his life totally unexpected and after going through so much herself, a terrible divorce it was wonderful to see her and to hope that they might have something special.
When she was Brody was with her for the first time her body felt so much more she actually felt an inner heat and she hoped that this would go on forever, he made her feel so safe and she was forever grateful.
I guarantee that you will be totally blown away by this book and once you begin reading will find it impossible to put it down until you reach the end.
assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read.

Mystery and Romance.
I have been partial to Brody the youngest of the Glenwood Pack, his story really did him justice. Not only do we discover his talent with sketches and being a tattoo artist, we dive behind his loner or detached from his family and why. Plus we get more history behind this sexy wolf-shifter when he sees Robin Cassidy, a dental hygienist. I enjoyed the mystery surrounding the deaths of young women and how Robin and Brody semi-struggle with their romance. Learning about Robin made her more realistic, and I love that. Their HEA made me smile. The author refreshes the reader on family relationships within the pack since each story is its own stand alone. No reading order necessary that I have found.

A great job of describing each of the characters in this story including the Rex, the head of the pack along with the previous alpha and the younger pups being trained by Brody. The family dynamics were exactly as you’d expect from a group of wolfs.
Brody, a tattoo artist, is part of a family that leads a wolf pack. He does what he is asked by training the younger generation but remains out of the business of running the pack. He meets Robin as she wants to have an older tattoo covered up. She is a hygienist so he makes an appointment at the dental office she works at so that he can see her again.
You need to read this story to understand what is going on with the dentist who owns the practice Robin works at as well as to how the entire wolf pack gets involved.

This is a wonderful story. Brody, a successful tattoo artist, is asked to help with a cover-up. Robin went in to have a tattoo fixed given by her ex. Brody immediately knew Robin was the woman for him. His wolf was a little to eager. This is a midlife romance, after a failed relationship finding love that was meant to be and a HEA. But of course there were a few bumps in the road, but that is what keeps things interesting. Meg Ripley did an amazing job with the storyline. This story can be read as a standalone. Capturing your attention from the start. I highly recommend this read. Meg is a talented author who knows how to write a wonderful story.

What. The fuck. Did I just read?
How this has such a high rating will remain a mystery to me until the day I die.
I should have realized this book never touched the editing phase when the description was in first person and the book was in third. The plot was a clusterfuck, so was the world building. Characters just come and go from the story on a whim, the pov slides and info-dumping are everywhere, the big plot twist literally came out of nowhere because its never even mentioned that species exists, and i’m convinced not even the author knows how their werewolf and magic systems works.
Genuinely I don’t even think I can give a comprehensive summary of the book because I literally cannot figure out what the fuck it was I just read.

I enjoyed the story. Brody is a wolf, shape shifter. He is also a talented tattoo artist. Robin goes to him to have a tattoo covered up that her ex left on her. (The ex had very shoddy work.) Brody makes an appointment at Robin’s work, as an excuse to see her. She is a dental hygienist. During the cleaning his tooth nicked her, cutting her finger. This exposure turned her into a wolf as well. Robin learns to adjust to her new life. They have a HEA. Overall, the story is well written and the characters are relatable. I liked that Brody remained a patient and caring person throughout. The narration was well done. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am voluntarily leaving my review

I loved this book. It was a cute story. I loved both Robin and Brody. They had such great chemistry. I liked how he made her comfortable covering up her tattoo when she'd wanted and expected a female tattoo artist, but due to overbooking, got him instead. I also thought it was cute that he made a dentist appointment he didn't need just to see her again and ask her out. A small accident though will change everything and I was excited to see how it would turn out. I listened to this audiobook narrated by Elle Sonali who did a great job bringing these characters to life. I liked the tone of her voice and it's nice hearing her narrate more books in this series.

They’re pretty cute
I’ve read two books from this series. They’re sweet and very light hearted in my opinion. But you know what they say about opinions😜 So far both books were very well writer. For me they really should be three stars (or as I like to call them B Rated Books) only because they’re really not my cup of tea. For me they’re just.. Meh 🫤 I usually don’t rate if it takes me days to finish just because it kinda bores me. But I have to finish a book I start or it’ll really bug me till I do. To me this is a more wholesome shifter series. Which isn’t a bad thing just a bit boring to me. Anyway, happy reading. And always please stay blessed and safe my lovely paranormal book nerds 🤓😘🥰🤪

I loved the story. Well written with just the right amount of mystery, surprises, steam to the romance and an excellent HEA.
Brody is very likeable. He helps out his co worker with a tattoo and discovers Robin. Loved the ways he tries to see her and eventually help her with her problems. He tries to be patient and he is understanding.
Robin is a person after my own heart. Very friendly, but works for a very unpleasant boss. Dr. Watson has his secrets.
Action from the first page. Loved the twists.
This book is one I will be reading again.
