This book is one of the many reasons why I'm ride or die for Mz. Blanco. She writes such sensuous books, with characters who come across as so realistic you could touch them. Dorian was in tons of pain. Blue balls will do that to you. He's got a major boner for his new intern, but she's untouchable. Not only is she over a decade younger than him, she's the daughter of his business partner - a man who's like a second father to him. However, the more he tries to resist her pull, the more obsessed he becomes. And when she makes it impossible to turn away, he gives in, damning the risks. People will just have to understand because he's not letting her go.

I was hooked by the words. The author had Dorian drowning in arousal for Demi and it was HOT!! And yet this was so much more than some smut book - this story had tons of meat. There was an undertone to it that hinted at a much bigger picture, something I'm hoping to see fleshed out in the book to follow. If you're looking for a hot AF page turner, you'll want to add this one to the list.

Story: GOOD
Intimacy Level: D.R.I.P (Don't Read In Public)+ Sex-citingly GOOD

I think I might need therapy after reading this book. Wow, first of all, it was so taboo, so wrong, but felt amazingly good to read. I love that the story was told from Dorian's p.o.v. The title, Destructively Alluring was so fitting, because Dorian was so intense. His thoughts of Demitra felt and seem like they were driving him crazy and he's going to self destruct and your counting down the minutes he will explode. I felt like I was reading the diary of a crazed man with a need only Demitra can fill. The intensity oozing from Dorian was unlike any I have read. That, and his physical attraction to her was unbelievable. Demitra held her own, although she was so young. I think being around Dorian brought out her confidence from the shy girl you read about in the first chapter. After a while I forgot how young Demitra was, as she seems mature in certain scenes. However, Dorian seem like he was going through puberty and has discovered girls for the first time. That was cute, funny, intense and sexy all in one while reading.
The story starts out showing their physical attraction for each other, and although there wasn't any physical interaction towards the end, it was so, so, so, so worth it, especially how the author chose to layout the story. I kid you not, when Dorian and Demitra finally came together, earth shattering, doesn't even come close to describing what took place between both Dorian and Demitra at Dorian's apartment. What made it even more exciting, you know it's forbidden.
Dorian decides to do a favor for a family friend that works within the company. To hire his daughter as an intern. This act was the beginning of the end for Dorian as his every waking thought was about Demirta.

My degradation into animal status was on full throttle.
Schmaltzy doesn't even begin to cover it.
DNF when I was 66 % in (no pun intended). Sheesh, please spare me. Excuse me, but I have to say it: is this is a f***ing joke? I know I just did stoop to the author's level. Then again, it's so true. It was f***ing annoying.
I did a word count.
f*ck/f*cked/f*cking etc. = 45 Kindle pages (45 x 4 = 180)
Keep in mind this is only a novella.
Destructively Alluring was a waste of my time and money. The writing is bad and blunt and the characters are incredibly boring and underdeveloped.
Dorian is off the charts jealous, possessive and animalistic. On top of that, he is simply ridiculous, embarrassing and primitive. I have nothing against possessive heroes, however, Dorian's behavior bordered on being psychotic. Yeah, Dorian, I agree. What the f*ck is up with your brain? You said so yourself. And I second your opinion, that's for sure. Read my lips: you are such a d*ck! The nickname baby girl didn't appeal to me either.
During their heavy make out session in Dorian's limo I had to face two animals. A heroine who is growling is a no-go. Demetria acted like Dorian and she started to cuss all the time. Now that bugged the h*ll out of me. Obviously she was the wolf in sheep's clothing. Well, the transition from innocent girl to cursing sailor was a brief one. *shrugs*

"Destructively Alluring (Allure #1)" by N. Isabelle Blanco is a contemporary
Erotic romance novella that fails to live up to its promise.
Firstly, the characters were difficult to connect with. The protagonist was frustratingly indecisive and lacked a clear sense of identity or purpose. The love interest was overly controlling in a very bad way (kinda toxic). I didn't feel invested in their romance at all.
Secondly, the plot was confusing and disjointed, making the overall narrative feel messy. The writing style was quite repetitive and lacked polish and at times felt like it was trying too hard to be edgy and provocative. I found myself struggling to stay engaged with this predictable story and had to force myself to continue reading.
Finally, the ending felt rushed and unsatisfying, leaving me feeling disappointed with the overall reading experience. While it may appeal to fans of the genre looking for a quick read, others may find it lacking in substance and depth.

OMG! This may be the hottest book I've ever read! My thanks go out to Carrie for picking this buddy read! Seriously! This novella length story is written entirely from a man's point of view which is new to me. I actually ended up liking it a lot! The lean toward sex is explained right there, lol!

So yeah....the book is mostly about sex...but it worked!
*****Before sex, there's Dorian's lusting after his hot little intern who just happens to a family friend's nineteen year old daughter. She's inexperienced but NOT a virgin (thank goodness). He can't keep his little head from hurting (really bad...this was a theme of the story...his dick hurt a lot) when Demi's around.
"What are you thinking right now?" I asked, needing to know if she was having any misgivings about what we were going to do.
"That you make me ache," Demi said..."
*****During sex....my goodness, these two get it on for a long, long, long time....AHEM!!!! Dorian really likes Demi's everything! And he's very good at showing her a good time and proving that she's never had - and never will have another man like him. He shocks himself when he can't get enough of her. He wants her over...and over...and over again.
"Desire was a ridiculous and inconsequential label. It would never suffice, would never be enough to describe what I felt for her. Huger was just as paltry of a term.
Greed was the only thing that came close."
*****After sex Dorian realizes that they are still in the beginning stages of this 'relationship.' The age difference between them (He's 30, she's 19) is a huge obstacle, and the fact that her father has entrusted Demi into his care is another. They both know they need time to sort things out.
I love that this ends with no angst, no tears, no big cliffhangers. This is a couple that desires each other, have a lustfully delicious beginning to their relationship, and decide that they desire more than sexual fulfillment. That's it. The rest is up to my imagination. What a great way to end a short story like this! No allusions to a grand love or lifetime commitment...just a realistic conclusion that they admire, respect, and desire each other.

I fell in love with N Isabelle Blanco when she wrote with KI Lynn. I was so excited to try something she had written by herself. Now I've read this book twice and many years apart and I still am.loving it.
Destructively Alluring is a novella so it's a fast read. If your looking for characters you know something about your not going to find it here. I just know this book was about Dorian who owns a company and Demetria a much younger daughter of a father figure of his. Thewe two have a forbidden relationship from the start and a huge age gap She is 19 and he is 31. But there is no denying the passion between these two and they about set my kindle on fire. I do hope we get to know them more in the next book This is after all a novella size read and you judt don't get to the heart of the characters But that's OK becuase i have faith we will.

Oh Lawdy, Lawdy get me some ice water! This book is HOT, as in melt your e-reader hot. Dorian is the brooding, self absorbed boss and Demitra is the 19 year old assistant. (Who is the daughter of one of Dorian's colleagues). WOW, there are some rather "intense" moments in this book and I can honestly say that I will never look at my coffee table the same way again. I don't like to give too much away, so I will just say it was worth the 5 times I read it. **fanning myself**
If you want a great, fun, sexy read then this is a book for you. And the best part....there's a sequel.

I was going to unravel. Unravel and rebuild until it was me her very fabric consisted of. Until nothing but me stained her logic, her existence, every fucking moment of her life.

Dorian Sorenson is a man who is lusting after Demitra Davis , his new intern and the daughter of his best friend Stephen Davis . His thoughtsabout involving her are down-right perverted and he always seems to be chastising himself mentally for even thinking like that . Little does he know that Demi is equally , if not more , attracted to him and wants to have him all for herself . What will happen when Dorian stops being a nutcase and finally gives into his cravings for Demi ? Well , you'll just have to read the book and find out for yourself .
The more I think about how I actually feel about this book , I find myself doing this :
Why you ask ? Well , the book is fucking hilarious ! Dorian , although a grown man , ends up acting like a fucking teenager . Through out the book , his internal monologues about his thoughts and his feelings for Demi are enough to keep you snorting out with laughter .

The more I think about how I actually feel about this book , I find myself doing this :
Why you ask ? Well , the book is fucking hilarious ! Dorian , although a grown man , ends up acting like a fucking teenager . Through out the book , his internal monologues about his thoughts and his feelings for Demi are enough to keep you snorting out with laughter .

You spend 90% of this book waiting for Dorian to make his move on Demi. She is his new secretary and she has him living with a constant "Hard On." Demi is 19yrs old and the daughter of one of Dorian's close friends. He feels that she is forbidden fruit but after the two share a passionate kiss his strength starts to cave.
I think this book is more of a 3 Star read however I threw in the extra star because of Dorian. The guy had me laughing out loud with his internal thoughts as he battled out whether or not to make a move on Demi. The writing was okay and I thought it was very steamy. So if your looking for something quick and steamy with an uber alpha male this is for you.

But what you know what...there was NO ROMANCE. WHATSOEVER.
Sure I got the Erotic bit. A lot of it. And that's fine.
But there should've been some plot...something, anything to remind me why they're just so good for each other.
Zilch nada, nothing, and other words I do not remember, for this all.
Sigh.
Guess erotica is just not for me. Not sure if I will be continuing the series either.
Oh well, life's too short to be dwelling on books I don't like.

This was another short read, but what I liked about this book was the inner battle of the Dorian ... It was hilarious, the story was from the POV of Dorian which was interesting since I think this is the first book I've read where the whole story is from the man's POV. Here are some snippets of him yelling at himself... lol
"Don't look. For God's sake, you're eleven years older. Am I listening? Another of course... not. Fuck."

Wow. This was really good--told entirely from the male point of view. It was very, very intense. I felt like the f-bomb was dropped way too much, but I guess that's just the way the characters speak.

A man can only take so much so when his control breaks he can't keep his hands or any of his body parts off of her.
Let's be honest ..this books is pure lust and sex and I'm very ok with that lol!!! I'm very interested in how this story develops. Thank u so much to the author that provided me with an ARC.. overall I really liked this a lot. Really enjoy her writing ..can't wait for more!!

This was a new to me author.
To be honest this wasn't what I was expecting.
This book was all about their 'wanting' and giving into it, so for me personally I found myself skimming a lot of it waiting for the plot to pick up, and every time it did, they steamed up the pages again.
I also found her speech stilted a lot of the time, I'm not sure if that was to portray her age/naivety or because the author first wrote this many years ago and has obviously grown a lot since then.
Because of this, I couldn't really connect with the characters or plot, but in saying all of this I am interested to see where it goes.
To be honest this wasn't what I was expecting.

Thanks to La Diabla Lectura, my reading experience was enhanced by a full, aloud story-read that captured Dorian's (the hero) voice with great timing, frustration, desperation...all the nuance of emotion from a man who finds his "baby girl". Yes, I know that term of endearment sounds suspect, but Dorian calling Demi (the heroine) that was as hot as it was familiarly comforting.
This story takes place in like a day and a night, if memory serves; however, it felt like the most creative and longest foreplay that ever happened before the couple finally consummated. Surprisingly, it didn't feel drawn out, a great feat accomplished by the author though her character, Dorian.
After that seemingly 1 minute roller-coaster ride, we are left with wondering how the couple will face the conflicts of age and taboo, and this is not a bothersome curiosity at all. No. Because Dorian realistically and wisely says, "I want to explore this."
For a short read that puts you inside the head of the hero who is alpha, possessive, vulnerable and...well, falling hard and fast in love, read this story so you can laugh and not sympathize with his pain.LOL

This short story, and emphasis short, was like riding in a really fast sports car...it started at zero then hit - OMG, holy fucking hell this is HOT by page 4, yes people PAGE FREAKING 4. Dorian and Demi's attraction was animalistic, primal and scorching hot. I felt like I was panting throughout the majority of this book.

This book is a short lustful read. I never thought I'd say this but there was too much sex!
Dorian certainly is Mr. Sex on a Stick as he spent most of the time in a lustful state. I loved his voice as he goes from pure lustful torment to jealousy to helplessness and later to fulfillment. The plot of the story is very simple, and the writing is intensely passionate and funny at times. If you don't mind a book with lots of sex, simple plot, then this book is for you. There is a second installment to this series.

Wow Hot Hot! I loved this little book. WTF this was crazy. Very fast paced with so much sensuality and steam I was melting. I loved all the swearing and I loved how aggressive Dorion was. He wanted Demitra and like NOW!! I almost got the feeling that it was a tiny bit alluring and similar to "Bared To You" by Sylvia Day. It had that mysterious way about it. Oooh I really liked it. It also said that there will be another book after that will continue on with their story...I can't wait. Please let it be soon.

I adored this story. I say story because the only downfall to me was the length of this book. It was a super short to the point story. I love the shyness of Demi. She found a special place in my heart because I could completely relate to her. Dorian is charming and the fact that the story is told through his point of view makes it a super interesting story. Totally worth a read. =)

I really liked the characters in this story and the possesiveness of Dorian. The fact that Demitra is 19 was kinda alarming to me. Thats because I guy thats 10 years older has to much expierence for her. However, there story is unfolding well can't wait until Allure Magnified.

Omg Dorian.....I loveeeeee him. He's super duper hot. Romance and love is not in his dictionary, he just use woman for release, yup he's a player, relationships is not his forte, woman never became an important part of his life. He's the "f*ck 'em, leave 'em" kinda guy. But that's all before Demi. Since Demi his life is turning upside down and inside out, he's trying so hard to deny those unfamiliar feelings, but those feelings are so strong, there's no way to ignore it, so in the end as a powerful controlling hard headed man, he's doing everything he can to have and own her. Yes loveeeee this man.
As for Demi, this girl might look like an innocent shy girl, but under those things she's a minx. She's stubborn and can stand her ground against a man like Dorian, so yeah this girl is feisty sometimes.
And for the book...OMG.....the sexual tensions and hot scenes in this book are superb. I was squirming on my seat the whole time while reading it. It's hot...hot...hot and hot.
