You probably haven’t heard of S.M.Landon. Stef is a new author, with this only being her 2nd book. It’s a gamble trying a new author, but if you want to FEEEEEL, you need to read this book. Stef has this incredible capacity to make you burn with emotion - heartache, rage, frustration, happiness, & deep love. The writing hooks your heart…

Swoon /5 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰

Steam /5 ♨️♨️♨️♨️
Plot /5 🧐🧐🧐🧐

We feel this spectrum of deep emotions through the experiences of the main protagonists, Rían & Tayida. beginning with a particularly horrific scene in the prologue. It is depersonalised a little by the writing being in 3rd person, but it’s still incredibly hard to read & instantly creates empathy for Rían. There is quite a list of content warnings in the beginning of the book that you REALLY need to look at. But this epic decade-long love story would not mean as much without seeing Ri & Ty persevere through these awful events. You’ll cry a bucket of tears, which will be both sobs of heartache & frustration, but also joyful tears when they finally are happy.

Rían meets Ty when his brother Cyril joins the army, & Cy & Ty become best friends. The brothers & Ty have all had emotionally & financially deprived childhoods, which brings them closer together. The relationships between Cy & Ri, & then Cy & Ty’s friendship, are expressed without heteronormative masculine stereotypes, & it’s just beautiful. There is this constant & gentle contrast between the truly awful events that tear your heart open, & the deep connections between the protagonists.

While Ty & Ri know early on that they have feelings for each other, circumstances keep them apart for YEARS. Awful, frustrating, unfair circumstances that make you rage. The plot is intricate & has many unexpected twists that I don’t want to ruin, but through internal dialogue, letters & emails, we see their feelings deepen despite the years. There are some time-jumps, but they’re clearly sign posted and relevant to the plot progression. Both Ri & Ty have to go for so many years without love & affection, while they pine for each other.

The strengths in the book lie with how much you love the MCs, but also the cast of side characters like baby Bran, Sullivan & Margarita, & some surprising redemption arcs from other characters who initially seem odious but become more likeable as the book progresses. Also, the reunion between Ri & Ty, the immediate connection between Ty & Bran, & the final showdown between Ri & his husband Harris….REALLY well written. And of course the HEA is just perfect, after a decade of loving each other, going through SO MUCH, and finally being blissfully happy together.

Bonus points for great pan & ace-spec rep, and the steamy scenes between Ri & Ty! 🥵🥵🔥🔥

From one extreme to another. First you’re inundated with a longing for a love lost that rips you apart from the inside out. Then, you’re beat down with Rian as he endures an all consuming pain and humiliation. And just when you think the pain will win out you’re saved with the innocent love of a child. Suffice it to say, I was sucked in from page one and captured until the author was willing to let me go. Even then, I’m not sure I want this to end.

Brotherhood is a running theme. From blood brothers Cyril and Rian, their relationship is so freaking beautiful. To Cyril and Ty becoming thick as fellow soldiers and then family with all three. It really hit home when Scott, a soldier that was so volatile toward Ty, fell apart and Cy and Ty were there and they became brothers through strife and shared pain.

The most heart clenching part of this wonderful story is these men and Bran. The all encompassing love both Ri and Ty automatically felt for this tiny being is consuming and the sweetest thing imaginable. The found family, the bond between these three is unbreakable.

And let me tell you how I love to hate Harris Kelly! This monster of a man will make your blood boil. This is a villain I will remember for a long time coming.

This amazing book is filled with so much love, so much passion and sweetness. It’s also riddled with angst, maddening tumultuousness and just an overall rollercoaster. It’s gonna put your emotions through the wringer, drag you through gravel and put you away wet. And it’s worth every freaking second.

Hands down my favorite book this month!

Absolutely loved it!!

Until The Day You're Mine
Love Springs series, Book 2
By S.M. Landon
5+ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐'s

Ok y'all...@smlandon SLAYED with this one!! So get your popcorn and beverage of choice and be ready to binge cause you're not gonna want to stop until you get to the end!! It's a rollercoaster of emotions so make sure you have tissues on hand!!

This is a saga of epic proportions that weaves the lives together of not only the main characters but multiple secondary characters as well. Some you're going to hate with a passion and some you're going to want to wrap up tight and protect at all costs.

You're going to see how the two main characters, Rian (Ri)  and Tayida (Tay) meet and how their friendship and love grows over the years. Yes years!! Definitely a slow burn BUT you will be so enthralled by the story that you will not even care...plus once they do get together they make up for it tenfold...they are fire and passion, romance and love, sweet and adorable, and everything in between!! A new couple on my #donotmesswiththiscouple list or else!! You're going to see how hard these two plus Rian's brother, Cyril, had it when they were kids and how the three of them struggled, coped, overcame, and became a found family...which made things that much harder as the plot twists began to play out through the story...wreaking havoc on your emotions!

I'm trying to be non-specific and not give too many details as you really should just let the story unfold as you're reading it. I do have to give one brief mention of a tiny angelic savior, light in storm if you will...in the form of a baby boy named Brandon (Bran) that will steal your heart and weaves this story and characters even tighter.

Anyways, I highly recommend Ri and Tay's love story but don't forget to check the CW'S as there are numerous things that could be triggering.

I was given an ARC in exchange for my honest opinion.

Until The Day You're Mine is the second book in the Love Springs series by S.M. Landon.

Reading this book has been a wild ride. I struggled through the heavy parts and although it never made me want to stop reading (I was 100% invested in Tayida and Rian's story), I had to take long pauses to digest and "reset my feelings". Please check trigger warnings from the author, I cannot insist enough.

Through the horrible and quite frankly insane assaults Rian had to endure, a love blossomed and oh man..... what a love story this was. So much loss, and pain for such beautiful characters. Reading about these kind of struggles (fictional or sometimes not) makes you reevaluate your own life I tell ya.

So we have Cyril and Rian, brothers who've been through hell but who stuck together to form one big united force. When Ty arrives in their life, also bruised from his past, the pull is very strong with both men, but in 2 very different ways. Friendship and love flourished through the horror and it was a wonderful sight.

This book was so frustrating at some moments, I kinda wanted to scream at people and at uncontrolable situations... I was raging. But then the emails and sweet moments between Ri and his son just made it all better.

I'm not going to dive too much in the storyline because there is a big risk of spoilers,  but let's just say this book will keep you on your toes until the very end. It will break you and it will put you back together. You will HATE the monstrous characters and cheer your life for the angel ones. It is a VERY slow burn, but VERY worth it.

What I will remember from this book isn't the pain, it's what came out of it, a beautiful story of strenght and desire and courage. Because although I was at times overwhelmed with the hardness of this story and the impact it had on my emotions, I cannot deny how soothing it was to witness Ri and Ty's love and support for one another, always.

Please read with caution and take care of each other.

So, it took me little over a week to let this book settle. Usually, I write my reviews right after I finish a book, but to be honest, I didn’t know what to say until now. And this is a sad excuse for a review, so I apologise upfront.

Because, there are books that serve a purpose. You feel like laughing. Or crying. Or you want smut. Or a HEA. So you pick a book. And you love it.

These books are great. You talk to your friends about them. You say “OMG, Girl, you need to read this book, it f#cking wrecked me!” or “Dude, this book was so freaking hot.” The book hits all the right spots and everyone raves about it and it’s all good.

And then there are books! Books! That leave you stunned. Lost for words. Punched in the gut. Amazed. In awe. Disgusted. Mesmerized. Angry. In love. So, so, so in love.

The book of Ty & his Bri and their Bran is one of those books. The story of a Siren and his Beloved and a Child that becomes a new beginning. The Cure against a dark past and a battered soul.

Until The Day You’re Mine is a story of what should have been but never was. And instead it became something else. It’s the story of things so unspeakable and devastating that you will never get past them - and yet, you do. Because you do. And because a smile of an innocent child reminds you that there’s always a second chance. And the human spirit is fierce and unbreakable.

This book is an experience. S.M. Landon’s writing is a revelation. The closest I can come to defining it is Stream of Consciousness on Crack. S.M. Landon’s writing is superior and this book is unlike anything, you’ll ever read again.

I give you all the stars, because you gave me all the feels. And because this book is a masterpiece. And I can’t f#cking wait for Ricks & Sullivan’s story. I hope it will be just as uncompromisingly beautiful and devastating ❤️ Thank you. Thank you. Thank you.

I have just finished this book and the first thing I would like to say, is “Fuck You Harris!”.

This is quite an involved story so I shall not ruin it for anyone. Rian and Ty is a love story of soulmates. Soulmates that pine for one another. That are drifting through life and not in a good way, but it builds so much through the story that you really fall for them both and experience such joy when they come together.

There is some really shitty times, but then Stefka throws in the mush and you are all loved up again only to be reminded like a slap to the face that the shit is still around, affecting these boys moving to their HEA.

The story builds beautifully and at a pace that is needed for you to feel that connection but bond individually to these characters.

This is a well deserved HEA and full of emotional angst and trauma but it is also beautiful in its love that grows from it.

Have Your Heart Ripped Out and Then Put Back Together

Are you ready to have your heart ripped out of your chest repeatedly? Seriously, buckle up.

This is my second S. M. Landon book and it’s the heartbreak for me.

The story is incredibly intricate, taking us through many years of the lives of three men. Rian and Ty instantly fall madly for each other, but they’re hesitant to tell each other for many years. They pine and they adore each other from afar.

Ty and his brother-in-arms Cyril (actual brother of Rian), are pulled into a deadly scandal, which ends up roping Rian too. I was not expecting that roller coaster of a ride. Wow. The details of this catastrophe are one of the most tangled webs I’ve ever read. Only someone like S. M. Landon could pull off this feat.

All the while, the horrifying heartbreak the characters are subjected to is tempered by the fluffy bits of sweetness that are weaved in. We get the extraordinary love story between Ty and Rian and the darling family story folded together with our little man baby Bran.

I love when books focus on family love. It’s my favorite thing. But most especially, brothers by choice. This had plenty of that.

There were so many plot twists and turns that I didn’t see coming. Like, whoa. I was intrigued to the last page and needed to find out what happened.

S. M. Landon broke my heart, but at least she had the decency to put it back together again.

Lots of beautiful little moments in this book and usually I pick one to share, but this time I have to say that most memorable for me was just how complex this plot was and yet it worked and flowed so well. The number of moving parts, the number of people, and yet it was never too outlandish for what the book was. Many authors rush the end too soon, but this ending was well-paced with regard to the rest of the book. I’m in awe of S. M. Landon’s ability to do this. Super well done. Oh and okay, I’ll add one more. How Rian fell for his son Bran. The love for his son moved off the pages.

Thanks for a fabulous addition to this series. I’m looking forward to Rick and Sullivan’s story. I’m actually very, very into Sullivan and can’t wait to see what happens with them!

Wow, this book was so much of everything, it really was a rollercoaster of emotions. It’s absolute perfection. I thought I loved Sammy & Logan (book one) and I still do, but my love for Rian is all consuming. He was made of steel, he was so strong even at his lowest, he is resilient and he is beautiful.

This book was hard to read, the beginning broke me, I wasn’t sure I was going to make it out in one piece. But I thought if Rian could go through all that pain and suffering then the least I can do is hear his story, and my god was it worth all my heartache. I was on the edge of my seat the whole book, it ripped me open with the emotions, I felt like I was there with them all.

This book was about survival, about two broken brothers doing the best they could with the life they had been given, it was a best friends continued support, it was pure heartache, but in between those blurred lines, was love. So much love. It may have taken years, it may have taken trauma and death and so much pain to get there, but the love was always there, it tied them together with invisible string never to be severed.

Cyril, Sebastian, Cynthia you are loved ❤️
Ty - Thank you for being you, for suffering for you’re Siren and becoming his everything ❤️
Bran - your birth was fate, you brought life and light to so many ❤️
Margarita - your bravery and feistiness helped to save my 3 boys, thank you ❤️
Rian - my love, your willingness to never give up, to protect what was yours, to get your beloved, you are all consuming and inspiring, justice is coming ❤️

I’m going to have a serious book hangover, S.M Landon has all the words! This book was amazing. Thank you ❤️

A beautiful love story, but overall just misses the mark.

I really enjoyed the first book in this series, so I was excited to read this one, this is a standalone, so you don’t have to read the series in order, there is a very loose connection, so it won’t take anything away from the book.

There are a lot of things right with this book, the characters, their connections, the found family and brotherhood. Sensitive topics are dealt with very well, and the romance between the two main characters is an absolutely beautiful love story that is very hard fought.

There are also a lot of things wrong with this book as well, I didn’t really enjoy the writing style, it didn’t flow very well at all, unimportant things were wrote in meticulous detail where as important things were skimmed over, or mentioned as an afterthought. There were also a lot of holes in the story, certain things didn’t add up, making certain parts of the story a bit unbelievable. I loved the beginning of the book, after a while it became boring in places.

Overall I did enjoy the book, like I said it was a beautiful love story, but it’s never going to be one of my favourites. If you are going to give it a go, read the triggers if you’re sensitive to certain subjects, it is very graphic in places.

“I won’t stop fighting for us… until the day you’re mine.”

My emotions are all over the place. S.M. Landon’s newest release, Until the Day You’re Mine, was heartbreakingly beautiful. This is book 2 in the Love Springs series but can be read as a stand-alone. 🥹

Highlights:
❤️best friend’s brother
❤️hurt/comfort
❤️second chance
❤️slow burn
❤️found family
❤️steamy
❤️emotional
❤️HEA

Want to talk about a hard-earned HEA??? Rian and Ty fight tooth and nail for their happy ending. I was so sad throughout most of the book, my heart breaking for them over and over again. Both go through their own hell, but find their way back to each other (thank goodness). I promise they get their HEA and it is beautiful. Also, their sexual chemistry is delicious. So so so good! 🙌🏻👏🏻🔥

Favorite quote:
“How did we ever get here? How am I this f*cking fortunate to be the one that calls him mine? My beloved, Ty. My one and only. My always and forever.”

❗️be sure to check the trigger warnings❗️

Also, f*ck you, Harris. That guy was a terrible person and he better get what he deserves in book 3. 🤬

Overall, loved this book! This book was a massive emotional rollercoaster, but I enjoyed the ride. The author’s beautiful wiring style had me experiencing all the feels. I cannot wait for book 3, eeeek!!! Rick and Sullivan’s story is going to be great! 🙌🏻🙌🏻

Well. The plot was captivating, the swoon was epic, and character development was excellent, amongst other good things. I will definitely read more from this author. But my god the writing style makes me twitchy. It’s over the top dramatic and a bit redundant at times.

Until the Day You’re Mine by S.M. Landon is a sweeping tale that will break your heart and slowly piece it back together.
Rian and Ty are almost immediately drawn to each other. But dark forces in the form of the truly despicable man who stalks, then marries Rian when he is grieving and vulnerable, conspire to keep them apart. Ty loved his best friend’s brother from the start - theirs is a years long slow burn with longing that is palpable in their unsent emails. Ty is so patient and gentle with Rian. Neither of them has had an easy life, but the joy that take in each other is everything.
Even though there are dark themes (heed the trigger warnings) what I took away from this book was the enduring power of love.
❤️The love Rian and Ty have for each other is so powerful. From their first meeting they do a delicate dance assessing each other’s interest.
❤️Brotherly love. The bond between Rian and Cy was unbreakable. Even when they were continents apart, their shared history, bound by a impoverished past and trauma, was strong.
❤️The love that binds friends. From their first meeting at boot camp, Cy and Ty had each other’s backs. Even if he didn’t already have feelings for Rian, Ty would have honored Cy’s last request to look after his brother.
❤️Parental love. The fierce love Rian has for his son Bran - the sweet boy who links them all, that sets their escape in motion .
Rian and Ty’s love story is a sprawling, beautiful, tragic, complex story that spans years. Their separation is painful, their reunion tinged in tragedy, and their fight to be together an emotional rollercoaster. S.M. Landon is such a vivid writer, the story is at turns tender and brutal, with hope vanquishing hopelessness. And she does that trick I love - finding humanity in a character you initially hate. Oh Sebastian…
Her characters go through hell and back, but the bitterness of their journey makes their HEA that much sweeter.
I’m not spoiling the plot, but the arc of these characters is going to stay with you. Secondary characters are amazing. And the promise of retribution in the next book? And more Sullivan and Rick? Can't wait! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I am in complete awe when it comes to this book, the grip the author had me in the entire time left my heart hurting in the best of ways. The slowest of slow burns, it broke me and followed it up with a nice amount of comfort and of course all the delicious spice! It was definitely a read that gets you thinking and it really felt so real reading it, like I had a front row seat to the pain and suffering they went through to get their well deserved HEA. Not only did this book focus on the romantic love, but also familial love and the love that comes with found families. Overall this book ticks all the boxes for emotional reading and I can't wait for more from this author!

Total disappointment

What was described and begun as a dramatic emotional and heart wrenching story tackling very serious topics turned into an over drawn babbling mess. Dealing with subjects of sexual abuse both in adult and child form requires a delicate and respectful touch, however what this author did was turn it into an insult. The read was so slow and painful it dull, so much time was spent on the villain and his awful deeds yet no time was spent bon his downfall it was almost an afterthought. There were so many side characters that did not advance or help the story other than add boring pages to the book. I can't say how disappointed I was with this book, the only reason I finished it was to see the villain go down and it was extremely anticlimactic. Skip this mess.

Too Long

The story was good but it really dragged on for no reason. Too much back and forth in the characters internal dialogue. Ill still probably, maybe, read the next one bc I'm intrigued by Rick.
