It's so weird when one writes a review and it's the ONLY review for a book, like here!
How about a riddle? What's the difference between Mad King Ludwig and Mad Potus Trump? Ludwig harassed Wagner, the stable boys, and maybe the swans. Trump harasses everyone on earth and probably some sheep. But they both bankrupted their kingdoms.
Okay, to the book: Anyway, the oddest thing about this castle is that it was built at about the same time as George Vanderbilt's Biltmore House, both built in the late 19th century after our Civil War. Just think, if Vanderbilt had seen this one, as he did many French castles, he may have put Biltmore on top of a mountain also. Anyway, if you love castles, you MUST visit this one (and hike up the mountain, it's about a mile, but as the castle slowly takes shape, it's breathtaking. Yes, you can ride a carriage for a few euro's extra, but you really need to burn off all the beer garden calories from the night before.) This book is a beauty, with blueprints and pictures of entire rooms. Another odd thing is that the number of rooms are relatively few and the biggest are the kitchens and stables. And about that cave right off the side of Ludwig's bedroom...one can only imagine the fantasies played out there. Or anywhere in the castle or on the mountain. When you are mad, and when you are King, you can do anything, Just like Trump! (I've visited the White House when it wasn't the Whore House, btw, and it was very nice.)

This is definitely very informative and interesting!!! My biggest problem is that it has Far too many run-on sentences, and not Near enough paragraph breaks. Other than that, it was very good, and I do plan on rereading it some time!!!

Not sure if it's just the translation, but sentences are quite heavy to read. The book also starts really abutly if you are not reading this book right after you had your tour of the castle. However, the information was interesting and it has good pictures of the castle: a good souvenir book.
