Ummm... Burn That Costume !! . . .
After attending Natalie’s costume party at Conrad's house, Emily and Jake, who are roommates, are ready to call it a night and head home. But Emily has trouble getting out of her hot and sticky leather costume. When the leather didn’t cooperate, she ended up falling on the bedroom floor and let out an involuntary scream. Jake knocked on the door to see if she was okay. She was hanging off the bed, half-unclothed, one arm stuck behind her back and her legs up the side of the bed. He knew something was wrong, so he walked in. She was mortified and told him to leave and he teased that he wanted to take a photo first. When he backed to the door, she gave in and let him help. When he freed her right leg, it awkwardly fell open on the floor. She kept her eyes closed, pretending this was not happening! But she definitely had his attention!
Neither Emily nor Jake have realized the other had feelings for them since they did not want to risk their friendship by asking for more. But Jake’s help in getting her out of her costume got things going at last… Will they finally learn the value of communication which will give them the strong relationship they have both wanted? Laugh along with their fun “getting-to-REALLY-know-you” adventure!

Lustman to the Rescue is book 5 of the Hollywood Hearts series. It is a short and steamy, Halloween themed, girl gets her roommate rom com. Jake and Emily are actors and roommates along with their friend Natalie. The two have secretly been crushing on each other for some time. When they go to a Halloween party as Batman and Robin, Emily ends up getting stuck in her costume. Jake comes to her rescue and sees her half naked. Both admit they are attracted to one another, but Emily admits she's never had an orgasm with any of her boyfriends and is afraid to disappoint Jake. Jake makes it his mission to give her many orgasms that night and vows he will win her over. Will she finally have the big O?? This was a short, fun, and steamy read. The characters had great chemistry, and I loved their friendship too. Now, I need to read the rest of this series.

Natalie and Conrad are having a Halloween Party. Natalie is dressed as Wonder Woman, while Conrad is Superman. Nat’s besties as well as roommates, Emily & Jake, come as Batman and Robin. After making it to mid nite, Batman and Robin take an Uber home, however, Emily has trouble getting out of her leather costume. Hilarious and hotness ensues when Jake saves her. I thought it was a quick and great read. How two roomies who had strong feelings for each other, didn’t mention anything because they were worried about losing a friend and roommate. There are a lot of laughs in the book as well as some mentions to playing tricks and jokes on each other which were hilarious. Steamy stuff happened too.
I can’t wait to read the next book.

I read the story from start to finish in one sitting. Two roommates, sweaty uncomfortable Halloween costumes and unexplored feelings for one another. This short story is sweet but mostly smut. I found the characters to be very realistic. Nice quick read in between other books or if you want a quick one shot read. Book 5 of a series, can be read as a standalone. I liked the simple plot and hot smutty scenes, but I didn't really care for their friendly chemistry. Also the love confession that came out of nowhere? Not a fan of that considering we didn't know how long she had been in love with him. Overall, it was good, but I would rather reread the other books in the series over this one.

I loved reading Emily and Jake’s story! I like reading steamy instalove stories when I need a pick-me-up, and this one was an awesome read! If you want a quick and steamy story with and HEA, I definitely recommend this one!.

This is a super (pardon the pun) sweet short about how two people are perfect for each other, if only they had the courage to tell each other!
