I loved this book.
This carries on from book 1. Kevin & Erica are happily married & expecting their first baby. The Vampire Community are thriving in their village underground.
The only blot on the horizon is Erika's ex brother-in-law. He still blames Erica for her ex-husband's death, & is threatening towards her & gives her some disturbing news.
Erica is involved in a car accident whilst very heavily pregnant,resulting in her having their baby being born in an emergency situation.
From the moment she is born Stephanie O'Rourke shows she has amazing powers. She grows into a lovely young woman & joins her father in the VCTF, working to help children. She is exposed to violence like she has never known. When tragedy strikes her whole world, her Mate, Marshall, helps her rebuild her life.
This is a great story, bringing back the characters we loved. The love story between Stephanie & Marshall is lovely & very sexy.
Once again ~Alice has given us an entertaining & touching story.

'A Special Gift', what a fantastic book. I loved Marshall & Stephanie's story. Marshall, a real sweetie, had such patience & loyalty for his mate and Steph, she loved her mate & family but she had such compassion for everyone around her! I loved Alice's imagination and style of writing for this book. I really enjoyed the fact that the characters from 'Vampires Among Us' was involved throughout the book, I loved the humor(loved WildCat haha) and then we of cause had the sad bits as well but overall it was a fantastic story and I'm really looking forward to book 3. Thank you Alice

Book two in Vampires Among us series, so Kevin and Erica have daughter Stephanie who has quite a few special powers. She meets her mate Marshall and together they face evil and tragedy.
This a fast paced story that will have you laughing and crying, with plenty of hot sex.
Well done Alice Brown, looking forward to book 3.

The story starts up where a Vampire Among Us left off with Kevin and Erica starting there lives together in marriage, and progressing to have a child (Stephanie) a half-vampire with special abilities. As Stephanie is nearing her adult years she yearns for two things that she doesn't think she can have working full time at the VCTF and Marshall her fathers second in command and her best friend! I enjoyed the interaction between Marshall and Stephanie as their relationship changed over the years from babysitter, best friend and then mate. Lots of action in this story as the VTCF tries to stop a War started by rogue vampires, missing and abused children, a half crazy vampire, and a devastating earthquake. This book definitely keeps you on edge with all the action packed drama. The characters are also amazing, the way they all work so well together and how they each play a role in the story. A huge event brings forth a lot of devastation and change to the vampires way of life that only makes them work harder together and more stronger. Although they have experience so much A Special Gift was given to them all and with that they all move forward.
