In the world of The Devil’s House MC, Slater “Jonesy” Jones rides a fine line between sanity and madness. Sarah, battling to care for her brother and hiding a perilous secret, sees Slater as nothing more than her grumpy boss. Yet, there’s an unspoken connection that pulls them together, a bond formed from shared pain and unvoiced understanding.
As their worlds collide, Sarah’s secret looms over them, threatening to shatter the fragile trust they’ve built. In the world of The Devil’s House MC, secrets are dangerous, and Slater’s vow never to trust a woman again is put to the ultimate test.
It’s recommended to read the series in order to better understand plot lines and characters.

He sees her struggling with her limp and her resiliency resonates with him. As he goes to claim Sarah, her secret gets revealed, will he implode what they have or support her as her man?
One of the best in the series. Jonesy has a dark history and you feel for him. I think the only thing missing for me in this story is how he became part of the MC, I definitely was curious. Sarah is a strong woman, she is amazing and out of all the female characters I would say my favorite. Series keeps getting better.
They were both celibate for years before getting together. There was both om/ow issues, mostly om, but I liked it. Jonesy was hot and cold, and she was living her life not waiting around for him. Nothing happened with the OM. But he was a good guy, and was there for her regardless. I liked that he wasn't written like he was some bad guy. He challenged Jonesy to a fight because he said hurtful and unforgivable things to the fmc.
Well written even though I wanted to hit the mmc across the head a few times.
I enjoyed this one, but yet nagain it’s depressing.
I actually enjoyed this book. This series is annoying me though, as every single one of the men has had something traumatic happen to them! It’s really unrealistic. Jonesy/Slater has a dark and terrible past. He vows never to open his heart to a woman ever again. 🥱 When he interviews Sarah for a cleaning job at the strip club, he’s taken with her, even though he doesn’t want to be. So he’s horrid to her all the time. What a nice man….. NOT.
Sarah is on the run from the evil Mc with her brother. Life is hard for Sarah as her leg is damaged and she struggles with everyday life, as it’s extremely painful. She’s a quiet woman who doesn’t try to attract Jonesy, and he finds that very attractive. Jonesy is not the only one who is attracted to Sarah as her landlord is trying to be with her. Her landlord is Midnight’s brother and it causes issues between them.
Of course when Jonesy finds out that Sarah was keeping secrets, he’s a di*k to her, instead of trying to find out what happened to her. Which of course puts her in danger.
I did enjoy this book but I’m really not keen on men who run away from love. Yes he’s got a traumatic past but that doesn’t excuse how he treats Sarah. Of course there’s the obligatory spelling mistakes, some of them really made me laugh.
This author was entirely new to me. But I was so hooked after the first book that I've read all the books for this mc chapter over the course of one weekend. Now I desperately need more from this mc. I'm also dying to.read books for Bo and Midnight's other brothers who aren't members of the mc. Going to start on the other chapter. But there's a huge part of me that wants to read Jaycee's story first.
3.75 stars. Well, Jonesy was better than Hillbilly, but still had his flaws…At least he wasn’t a man-whore. I’m glad Sarah was so resilient and didn’t let her past and the awful people that raised her determine her future. I also liked that Sarah had the interest of another good guy. Overall, an enjoyable read.
Jonesy went through a traumatic tragedy. He doesn’t trust women easily so with that he hurt Sarah thinking she was another liar. Sara is running from her monsters and her baby brother.
He was a medic in the military who came home to tragedy. That shaped him but she is a woman hurt on the run from a painful pass. When there world collide and trouble comes.
