For some families, potty training can be a long, stressful battle -- complete with daily tantrums and embarrassing "accidents" in public places. In fact, parents today are SO scared to start potty training that the average age American children are potty trained has almost doubled! (Back in the 1950's, the average age was 18 months. Today's average is 2 and a half years of age.) The truth is that toilet-training your child doesn't have to be stressful. It doesn't have to be embarrassing for your child. And it doesn't even have to take you very long. The "No-Sweat Potty Training" System uses rewards and positive reinforcement to make the whole process simple and (believe it or not) fun! That's because you'll be focusing almost exclusively on your child's potty training successes. "Accidents" will be acknowledged -- and then promptly forgotten! (Kids LOVE the "superhero" system described in Chapter Three.) The "No-Sweat Potty Training" System gives you absolutely everything you'll need to get your child out of diapers in just a single day , ... and much more! (Of course, your child will still be wearing diapers at night for a little longer... but you'll learn some great strategies for encouraging dry nights, too!) There are plenty of books out there on potty training you child... but "No-Sweat Potty Training" by Dana Obleman is fast... it's simple... and it just plain works! Not only will you be diaper-free in just one day -- you and your child will actually have FUN doing it!
I won’t give it 5 stars until I see the results :) Let’s hope this works-we start tomorrow
This book makes it seem so simple that I’m very skeptical of it working This is the same woman who wrote the Sleep Sense program that I use to get Steph to sleep all night (which works)
I chose this book because I sleep trained my son with the SleepSense program and thought it was very validating and useful. Overall good and right to the point, however, I am a bit skeptical due to how simplistic everything was. It didn’t go to in depth about problems that may arise and how to deal with them.
