I enjoy reading Shelley Shepherd Gray’s books because she usually intertwines faith and forgiveness throughout her storylines. Anytime you have a café or bakery in the book, and also a character who is thinking about becoming Amish, it makes for a cozy feeling. The personalities of the characters and the secrets that unfold, definitely peaked my interest and kept me reading.

It was so good to read about the four Schrock siblings. The additional characters of Treva, Kennedy and Matt were a great addition as well. This story centers around Jonny and whether or not he will choose the Amish faith. I loved the element of forgiveness that ran throughout the story

“Opting to live a life of unforgiveness is a miserable way to live.”
It is a choice to forgive someone else, but you cannot make another person forgive you. That is their choice as well. In this sequel to A is for Amish, Johnny is ready to become Amish, but he must deal with family issues first. I love that the Schrock sibling’s parents show up in this book and that they all must learn to deal with the past and forgive before moving on with their lives. Treva is also a wonderful character who helps Johnny and the family find their way.
I deducted a star because the flow of the story sometimes left me a bit confused. Also, there were things that were told that I thought should have been shown in dialogue. Overall, this was a quick and enjoyable story. I look forward to reading the next in the series as soon as it is available.

Excellent sequel that actual surpasses te first book. As the youngest of four siblings, Jonny is finally breaking free as he moves in with his Amish grandparents. He loves work in the bike shop, and he discovers another love running her own coffee shop. Relationship issues abound as many people grapple with their identities, guilt, and relationships. Look forward to the next installment. I received an advanced copy of this book from NetGalley and the publisher and voluntarily provided an honest review.

I loved this book. I liked the 1st book in this series, A is for Amish, but like this one even more. To see Kelsey settled down in her Amish life and Jonny coming to terms with what life he wants, made me happy. Loved the interaction with their dad also. Top notch book!

Quick easy read.
I’m enjoying the story line although I feel it is a little sloppy in the storyline.

Loved reading the inspirational and captivating story. Even though Jonny finds out he has to be careful what he eats, he still wants to try living Amish, gets a job selling electric bikes, and wants to spend more time with Treva. Meanwhile, Jonny's dad s has a long road ahead of him to try to make amends with his children, and Martin, Jonny's older brother, is still unsure about becoming Amish. Read the highly recommended, wonderfully written, and a must read riveting story by the phenomenal author, Shelley Shepard Gray. Can't wait to read the next story in the series!
