Sinistre Ange is back with a deliciously wicked story called Daddy’s Mad Love, and was the lucky girl that got the ARC!
This is a story that’s situated in the roaring 20’s,and it involves the mob.
It’s about Hailey, the granddaughter of Guiseppe Bianco, head of the Bianco family from Chicago.
After her parents were killed, she was forced to live with him,but managed to escape and built a life for herself in New York.
It’s also about Giacomo DiNardo, who’s been chosen by Don Bianco to marry her.
He may be a mobster,he’s also a man with certain…desires.
He means to Hailey’s Daddy as well as her husband, and he’ll do his best to convince her to embrace both.
Even if she hates the life, and him for forcing her back into it.

The emotions Hailey goes through from the moment where she first finds out what her grandfather has done until the wedding vary from disbelief to defiance and a determination to disappear before it’s too late.
But what she doesn’t know,is that Jack already anticipated her plans and prevents her from putting them into action.
And when her grandfather “invites” her bestie Clara as her maid of honor,Hailey knows she’ll have to go through with the wedding, though.
Because she’d be damned if she’d let anything happen to her…..even if Clara is ready to help her escape.

After the wedding,Jack is eager to feast on his new bride,to show her she’s his in every way.
And her reactions to his ministrations are more than he’d hoped for, even if she denies enjoying them.
When she starts to call him Daddy,he knows he’s making the progress he needs.
She ís starting to change, even if she doesn’t want to,into the woman she was meant to be all along.
When he helps her with something that matters to her, will she be able to accept his solution?

But what’s up with her bestie Clara?
Jack’s cousin Gio has been more than happy to keep an eye on the girl from the start, and he’s got his hands full with her.
I really need to know what’s going on with them, and i can’t wait for the Morally Gray Daddies Anthology!!

This was a deliciously hot and wonderfully morally grey story, and i loved every second!
Hailey was such a sweet girl, doing what she could to make the best of a bad situation.
And when she discovered she liked certain things Jack did to her,she didn’t shy away from it.
Instead, she learned to listen to her body’s needs,as well as (in the end) those of her heart.
Jack may have been a mobster, but he was so very protective, and possessive, of Hailey.
He saw her for the woman she was meant to be,and gave her exactly what she needed.
And he was ready to kill any man that might be interested in her.
I have to admit that i’m still a little worried about Don Bianco, though….
Will i have to see him again in Clara’s story?
I hope not…..because he ouzes trouble!

Ange's writing never disappoints. I might not always love her stories, but at least she knows how to tell a story. I've been disappointed in my last few books with sub-par writing, but not with Sinistre Ange.

Wonderfully entertaining read, terrific characters and great writing by this amazing author
This is a dark and disturbing read that will hold your attention from start to finish, I can guarantee that you will be dying to discover the final outcome.
As I do not want to spoil the story for other readers by giving away the plot, I will say that it’s a story that is set around the time of the “Roaring Twenties” when the mob was at its height and this story is based around a situation concerning this time,
Hailey is being coerced by a grandfather that she hates into a marriage, she knows that he is part of a Mob family which is a meeting of two Mob families which is supposed to strengthen their hold.
Hailey had considered every possible thing she can do to avoid the wedding but her grandfather is cunning and threatens to harm anyone that might help her, he makes it plain that Clara is at the head of this list and she knows that he would follow through with actions.
Surprising as it might seem when she actually meets her prospective husband Jack, a man she has swore to despise with every breath in her body. As it happens the couple actually do fall in love and their marriage is better than they could ever have hoped for and also her best friend Clara has found a wonderful man Gio which has also made her very happy and is a poke in the eye for her grandfather.
There is lots of action and plenty of unexpected turns of events that will keep you totally entranced by this read, I cannot wait to read future titles by this author.
I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the wonderful writing.

Giacomo DiNardo, aka Jack, is the son and heir to Don Lorenzo DiNardo and has just been notified by his father and Don Giuseppe Blanco, of Chicago, he was to marry and form an alliance between the two families. According to Jack's way of thinking, being part of the Familia came down to blood and duty. That's why he had no problem acceding to their request. His only demand was he would be the one to notify his fiancé. Hailey Blanco, aka Hailey McQueen, was the granddaughter of Giuseppe Blanco. Her parents had been killed when she was a child. She wanted no part of the mafia lifestyle and eventually running away and taking her mother's maiden name as her own. Now she works as a social worker for the police department in New York. The physical chemistry between these two quite literally sizzles, the storyline flows so well it plays out in my mind, and the characters are so beautifully flawed they instantly become relatable.

This is a combination of a mafia romance set in the 1920s and daddy dom themes.

Just from a synopsis, you would figure "OMG this is going to be dark". Hailey has run far away from her grandfather, Don of the Chicago mob and is working as a social worker in NYC. But... she is found and given to the son of a Don in NYC. Giacomo kidnaps her, keeps her, forces her to marry him by threatening her only friend, and then utterly dominates her.

OK.

But it is fast-paced and rather light-hearted. Given that there are tales of sexual abuse and an off-page murder and absolutely gross police corruption, that is pretty impressive. Really the only "Daddy Dom" energy in the book is that Giacomo insists that she call him "Daddy".

All in all, a very fast and enjoyable read with a tone that rather belies the life and events that are portrayed. It is REALLY best if you do not take this at all seriously.

So I don't normally read much by this author because of how dark she can get but I took a chance and read this one! OMG! I loved it. Yes, it's still dark but not dark enough to make me stop reading it. Set in the 1920's and mob related, the story is about Hailey who is forced by her grandfather (I hated him) to marry Jack, from another mob family. She seriously considers running but when her bestie is "dragged" into the whole thing by the grandfather, she knew she couldn't let anything happen to Clara. Jack is a morally grey character who I instantly liked! It goes from Hailey not wanting to get married to basically falling for her husband. The secondary characters, Clara and Gio, were fantastic. This story was much more than I thought it would be and now I can't wait for the story of Gio and Clara.

Sometimes you fall for the most unexpected person at the most unexpected time

This story takes place in the 1920's which I find very original. I read quite a lot of mafia books and this is a first. I thoroughly enjoyed that aspect of the story.

Hailey is forced by her grandfather from hell to marry Giacomo DiNardo (AKA Jack) the mob boss from Chicago. She plans to make a break for it, but her scheming grandfather invites her best friend Clara to the wedding. Hailey relents to the marriage as she does not want any harm to come to Clara.

Jack has certain sexual proclivities that he demands of his bride. Calling him Daddy is on top of Jack's list. Hailey refuses to call him that but Jack is a master in the bedroom and plans on wearing her down.

This story is carnal, sensual and steamy with some action sprinkled in. Bring on Gio and Clara's story.

So I don't normally read much that is set in the 1920's or mob-related. Hailey has a career but is forced into marriage by her grandfather into marrying Jack to form an alliance with another mob family. Jack's appearance at the police station where she works proves that there is no one going to help her escape him.
Considering trying to run but when her best friend is threatened by the whole thing by Jack and Gio. She realized she couldn't let Clara get involved.
Jack is a character who I instantly liked although his behavior at the police station is definitely a non-consensual
This goes from Hailey desperately trying to escape getting married to basically falling for her husband immediately.
This story is more of a Novella and now I'm eager for the story of Gio and Clara.

What a fantastic start to this new Ange series! A dark, mafia romance.

Common to this trope, we have an arranged marriage.

But, Hailey has been trying to escape the LIFE! Can she?

Will she come around and feel more than just lust for Giacomo/Jack?

Giacomo wants to be Hailey's Daddy! Will she enjoy the kink? Will she embrace it?

What does her grandfather have up his sleeve?

I expect Gio and Clara may be next! Gio definitely put a smile on my face! He's head over heals for Clara it seems!

Love this world!

Not all that is dark is evil nor is everything that is light is good. This is a morally gray story (it says so right on the cover!) - lots of actions that may cause some 'what the...' moments and many more that cause the 'oh yeah...' times. Hayley and Giacomo (Jack) are opposites in most ways. His desires are on one end of the spectrum and her innocence is the other. But through their actions and their emotions they come to a common direction.

Good but brief. There is more spice than plot which is great if that is the mood you’re in that day. I would have liked more to the story in the plot department but overall I’m okay.

My one gripe is as a historian - Hailey was not common or popular name for a girl until the 1980s. It’s not even in the top two hundred for 1900 according to the social security website. The name is so modern it was distracting.

I enjoyed Hayley and Giacomo story. The blend of spice, drama, intensity and emotions is seductive and the setting a twist that was unexpected and inspired. That means this intriguing new series has a very attractive freshness to it that very eager to read about many more Morally Grey Daddies.

good

It may be “set” in the twenties but the way everyone talked and the way the hotness was written it’s out of period. If you can get over that it’s a very good read.
