"My knight and my protector.”
“You’re my knight in shining armor, Mistress.” Simone gave a playfully melodramatic sigh.
“I knew a knight once,” Nora said.“I’ve got nothing on him.”
“I have dreamed for two years about getting my daughter back. I have dreamed for sixteen years about finding the perfect woman for me. I find the perfect woman for me and find out how to get my daughter back, but... to get my daughter back, I have to give up the perfect woman.”Nora wants nothing more than to help Lance, but by doing so, she may be forced to lose him. I adored Lance. And Nora’s character shined brightly in this installment. She may be the funny, kinky dominatrix, but she is really just a woman with a huge heart.
Destiny doesn’t always play matchmaker. Sometimes it plays other games with us. Sometimes we win the game... Sometimes we lose.
We see glimpses of the relationship between Nora and Soren, a unique relationship that all fans of TOS LOVE, ADORE and long to read about.
"...this is something bigger than both of us."I loved this mini series. Each novella may have only been less than 30 pages but it is well written and if you loved Nora from The Original Sinners series than you won't be disappointed with the quality of these novellas.
I like having things I can break, knowing they'll only break when I want them to."
"I wish I could tell you that there weren't two sets of rules out there for rich, important people like me and normal people like you. I wish I could tell you there wasn't a separate set of rules for men and women. I could tell you that but it would be a lie and you know it."
"My dad said that there comes a time when what you want to do is the opposite of what you need to do. And the boys do what they want to do, but the men...the men do what they need to do."
“I have to do what I need to do,” Lance said at last. “Even if it’s not what I want to do.”
“One last good night?” Nora offered. It was all she had to give.
Lance nodded instead of speaking.
