With over a million books in print, Pamela Britton likes to call herself the best known author nobody’s ever heard of. Of course, that’s begun to change thanks to a certain licensing agreement with that little racing organization known as NASCAR.

Nowadays it’s not unusual to hear her books being discussed by the likes of Jay Leno, Keith Olbermann, or Stephen Colbert. Flip open a magazine and you might read about her, too, in Sports Illustrated, Entertainment Weekly, or Southwest Airlines’ Spirit Magazine. Channel surf and you might see her on CNN, ESPN, ABC or NBC.

But before the glitz and glamour of NASCAR, Pamela wrote books that were frequently voted the best of the best by The Detroit Free Press, Barnes & Noble (two years in a row) and RT BOOKclub Magazine. She’s won numerous writing awards, including the National Reader’s Choice Award, and a nomination for Romance Writers of America’s Golden Heart and the Holt Medallion.

When not following the race circuit, Pamela writes full-time from her ranch in Northern California where she lives with her husband, daughter and, at last count, twenty-one four-legged friends.

If you'd like to chat with Pamela you can find her on her myspace where she loves to hangout with her readers.

"She's not my girlfriend."

Luke drew back. "No?"

"No."

"Really? With her looks I thought for sure she'd be your type."

"She has kids."

"So?"
pg. 87

Jethro has no problem getting women to have sex with him. He is from a rich family and he's good-looking.

He's also a disgusting sexist. He meets the heroine when he goes out to a site to meet an engineer and finds Jasmine. He thinks she's a stripper and tells her to take off her clothes. She's the engineer.

One of the main problems of the book is I don't understand why either of them wants to be with each other.

Jasmine has children - twin girls (age 5?) - and that is a hard 'no' from Jethro. He never involves himself with women who have children. I have no idea why he decides to do so now.

And that's mainly my problem. What's so special about Jasmine? Why does he break his usual 'rule' for her? Why is he 'in love' with her? Why does he take on having a relationship with her when she has children - and one of them is sick, no less? It's unclear. Because she's pretty? Forgive me, but plenty of women are pretty. If you are going to sell me a love story, please make it about love. I wasn't buying it.

And that goes double the other way. Why on Earth would she be interested in this asshole? Their meeting alone should have cured her of any delusions where Jethro was concerned. He's gross. He treats women grossly. Honestly, throughout the whole book, he's a sexual harassment lawsuit waiting to happen. And everyone knows it, but he's the boss's son.

You know, it could be a great romance story. The idea of a 'playboy' throwing over his skeevy ways for a woman he never thought he'd be interested in, one with 'baggage,' could be very interesting. Seeing a man change his worldview and give up his old life for a satisfying new one, choosing marriage and being a father to children who are not biologically his could be stunning. However, Britton doesn't put enough work in it to pull it off. Sure, I would believe Jethro wants to fuck the beautiful Jasmine. Harder for me to believe is that Jasmine would allow Jethro to take her to bed. But most importantly, I can't understand why the two characters feel LOVE for each other. LOVE is a lot more difficult to write believably than sex.

The book also is sexist and plays into sexist stereotypes.

The fight and break-up at the end (before the inevitable Happily Ever After) is ridiculous, and makes no sense. It was contrived.

CAN YOU SAY ANYTHING POSITIVE ABOUT THE BOOK, CARMEN?

Yes. Jasmine is an adult. She faces any problems head-on. When she wonders something about Jethro, she just says it. When she has something on her mind she has to talk about with Jethro, she just says it. She's not afraid, she doesn't play games. She doesn't pussyfoot around. I find this refreshing and admirable in a heroine.

HOW'S THE SEX, CARMEN?

Britton isn't bad at writing sex. I enjoyed the fact that she wrote a long, detailed, pretty-clear-for-an-American-Romance sex scene. She celebrates neck-kissing, which I am on board with, but Jethro doesn't give her as much foreplay as I'd like.

TL;DR The premise of a rich playboy falling in love with a woman who has two children, when said playboy considers children a burden, is intriguing and has potential. Unfortunately, I don't believe that potential is realized here. I couldn't really understand why these two were so enamored of each other. 'Because he/she's hot' is not a satisfactory answer in my opinion.

Jet Barron is helping his father out with his company while he is on the mend. Normally Jet is participating in the rodeo biding his time until he begins to work full time at Baron Energies. He is sent out to meet the new engineer and is surprised to find Jasmine Marks who he thinks is there for the wrong reason. After a rough introduction, Jet finds himself seeking Jasmine out but she has twin girls and he is not a man ready to be tied down. Will Jasmine be the one to finally tame the bachelor?

This was entertaining but the end was a bit rushed. I thought the introduction between Jet and Jasmine was hilarious. The children in the story are sweet and have a bit of a rivalry going on which adding a nice family element to the story.

I admit it, sometimes I can be a little slow on the uptake. I started reading Pamela Britton's The Texan's Twins and knew it was part of a series. I even knew I had read one of the books already. I even remembered what it was about. But try as I might, I couldn't find any other reviews I had written on a Pamela Britton book.. I was starting to think I had gone crazy. But then I realized it wasn't the author it was the SERIES.. The Texas Rodeo Barons, A divergent series written by several different authors. You can read more about the Barons series on Goodreads or Fictiondb.

The series itself focuses on the Barons family a vast assortment of yours, mine, hers (second wife) and ours.. crazy intense and very much a united front.

The Texan's Twins tells the story of Jet (Jethro) Barons, the playboy of the family and single mother J.C. (Jasmine) Marks.

J.C. Marks has had a hard life. The daughter of a wildcatter she was left an orphan early but she had her fiance.. that is until the oil rigs took him too. Just a few months before her wedding. Leaving her once again alone, alone that is until she finds herself pregnant with twins.. Determined to give them a better life she finishes her education and attempts to get a job in the oil industry. It's what she knows. Finally hired by Lizzie Barons she is beginning to feel secure. Secure that is until J.C. discovers that she is scheduled to work with Jet. You know the guy who sort of schmoozes his way through life.. Obviously not the sort of man she is looking for. Now all she has to do is convince her hormones.

Jet Barons is settling down, sort of. He knows he is needed at Barons Industries while his sister is on maternity leave. He doesn't want to make his career at Barons at least not right now but he does want to make sure Lizzie knows things are fine. His first official day on the job he meets the new engineer... Of course first he mistakes her for a stripper that his friends sent as a lark. Really? A Stripper? They are in the middle of an oil field.. Yeah that's where I would send a stripper. After that oh so bumpy start, Jet knows he has his work cut out for him. First at the office, then well out of the office.

What Jet has to learn the hard way is that Jasmine needs a friend way more than she needs a lover. A lover would have to first be that friend. And maybe Jet is making headway. That is until he learns that one of her darling girls is ill and she really doesn't have anyone to lean on. While he is at her side, friendship turns to something more and a relationship is formed.

What makes this book stand out is that while Jet is the bad boy is the fact that it's Jet who realizes that they have a chance together. It's Jet who albeit ridiculously, who falls first and it's Jet who actually has to suffer the broken heart. Jasmine is the one afraid to share her heart or her children's.

This book isn't rocket science. It's pure romance.. About two people who have to put aside what they think they want and fight for what they really need.

I am totally looking forward to the next book in this series.

Back to those Rodeo Barons! The Texan's Twins is the fourth book in the series, and the third one with kids in it. I don't know. I like the series and the adults and I'm not finding the kids to be too distracting, but I don't usually find the addition of them to be incredibly romantic. So much of the plot line revolves around the kids. And the more of this I write, the more I realize that perhaps the appeal of these books (that is, books with kids in them) is NOT a "baby hungry biological clock ticking" way but in a "single parents deserve love too" way. I'm going to need to think on this more. There is definitely a difference in my mind between a book like the first Barons book (where the hero and heroine are pregnant from a one night stand) and this one (where the heroine comes into the story with 5 year olds.) One is about wanting a baby with a person and the other is falling in love with someone else AND their kids.

First, the characters. I really enjoyed both Jasmine and Jet in this one. Jasmine is exactly as described. She works her behind off to provide for her girls and is successful at it. She's also realistically exhausted and stressed to her limits, and a health scare does not make it easier. She turns to Jet for comfort, because she has no one else and she can not resist his offer. She's terrified to start to care for anyone and insists to herself that this is just temporary, a way to ease stress. She doesn't see at all this is what love is all about. Jet has a honestly earned reputation as someone who can't be taken seriously. He understands why that is but he kind of chafes at it, as he isn't really as flighty as his reputation seems. Jet has been pulled into Baron Industries because of his father's injury (Really? How long can that take to heal anyway?) and while he has no desire to take over the company, he is legitimately happy to be working there. He especially loves working with the newest engineer, Jasmine. Jet falls fast and never really denies what he feels even as he is amazed by the possibility, and when things finally implode (in a scene I have never seen in a romance!) he gracefully steps out of the way for Jasmine. It is thoughtful and kind and makes me love Jet more.

Even the addition of the two little girls doesn't really distract from the story here. They are always present (Jasmine is a single mom with no other support, this is a plot point) and the story is very much about Jet falling for all three of them. Was it a perfect romance? No, but it was very good and I read through it very quickly. I am still enjoying the series very much, with two books remaining.

The Texan's Twins was published on September 2.

The Texan's Twins by Pamela Britton is the first book by the author and I really enjoyed reading it. This series is written by different authors and while the stories are all standalone, there is an ongoing mystery of the missing mother of Jet and his sisters.

I loved reading Jet Baron's story who ahtes working for the family oil business and is more interested in rodeos, flying helicopters and working on the family ranch with horses. He is likable and hit with the ladies but then he falls for Jasmine who is a single mother of twin girls. She has just moved here and is the new employee in his family's oil company.

They get off on the wrong foot but soon Jet's caring nature begins winning over Jasmine's skittishness. The setting is Texas and Pamela builds a realistic world of ranches, horses, rodeos, barbecues, oil mining and the rugged feel of the countryside.

I enjoyed following Jet and Jasmine as they try to figure out their feelings for each other. Jet is a sincere guy who genuinely wants a life with Jasmine and her twins. The heartbreak, romance and family drama are all so endearing that I was left wiping my eyes then feeling hopeful and then smiling watching these two stumble and then get up again.

The twins are so cute. I loved reading about their antics and could visualize them as they were portrayed.

We meet the characters from the previous books in this series again and it was enjoyable meeting them again and watching them so happy in their lives.

Not much is disclosed on the background mystery of the missing mom in this book but still the romance is so admirably narrated that I didn't feel any dissatisfaction.

All in all, The Texan's Twins is an endearing love story of sacrifices, forever kind of love and the determination to cross all hurdles to get to ones happily-ever-after. 4 out of 5 to it and recommended to all lovers of romance.

I received the book from the publishers, Harlequin via Netgalley and I am very thankful to them. The above review is my honest and unbiased opinion and in no way influenced.

The Texan's Twins had me really involved in the characters. The twin girls were so cute, even fighting cute. While they were running tests really had me feeling it. As a single mom having the dad die it is scary when your kids are sick and having no one to rely on.

Jet Barron is a likable guy. He knows nothing about kids and how to deal with them. He likes to do different things and resents having to work in family oil business full time. He likes entering rodeos, flying helicopters, working the family ranch.

Jasmine Marks is the mother of twins. Their father died before they were born. She just moved to town and working full time job. She is an engineer works for Baron oil. Her parents are deceased.

Jasmine and Jet are now working together to drill a new well. They get off to a bad start by Jet thinking his friends are playing a joke and sent stripper out where he is to meet the engineer. Everyone warns Jet to stay away from Jasmine except for work.

The setting is Texas. This is book #3 of The Texas Rodeo Barons all written by different writers. We see a lot of familiar characters that we have read in the first couple of books. Did not really learn anything about the missing mom except that Brock asked Jet to find out what his sisters know about search.

Lots of drama, lots of horses, relationships a few love scenes. Easy fast read.

I have only read a few of Pamela Britton's books before but I like it and would read more from her in the future

I was given this ebook to read and in return I agreed to give honest review of it. Net Galley and Harlequin gave me the ebook.

Jasmine is a hard worker who is starting her job that as an engineer. Where shes at she knows she has to work hard to be taken seriously because shes new and this job is mainly seen as a mans job. It doesnt help that she has two lovely daughters and Jet who is a welcome distraction who is known to be a bit of a playboy. Not only that he is her bosses son.

I really loved this book. I loved how loving, caring and stubborn Jasmine was, it made her character interesting. I liked how caring, understanding, and supportive Jet was. I loved that there was a dual POV between Jet and Jasmine so I got to know everyones true intentions about what was going on. I loved that there was a bit of suspense in the book, don't want to elaborate on that because it'll spoil the book. I enjoyed seeing the connection between Jet and Jasmine. I loved that this book was fast paced with never a dull moment and was also very well written. Overall I really loved this book and recommend you lovely readers to check out this short and sweet book. 4.5 stars!

Jasmine is a mother to a twin girls. She just got a job as an engineer and Jet is her immediate boss. Jet thought that the new engineer is a man by the name of JM. He was surprise when he met her and he is not comfortable with his own reaction. He is attracted to her at first sight but he knew Jasmine is off limit. He is not keen of long term commitment more so when the lady is a mother of two. Jasmine on the other hand, is trying to work hard in a man’s field and taking care of her two girls. Things are getting more difficult when one of her girls fall sick and she is worried sick. At moment like this, she wish to have someone to turn to and Jet is more than willing to be there for her.

This book is about two persons who have different idea of what they want in their life and how they strive to compromise to put those differences behind to find the happiness that they want for each other. Overall, it is a sweet read for me with likeable characters.

I absolutely love this series and couldn't wait to hear Jets story, he is a joker and a complete playboy and to have him play this line in the story line is fantastic. The author does a fantastic job with the descriptions and the story line really works. I am a huge sucker for the romances that have to be won and lessons that have to be learnt. So this was a huge plus for me. I read this book in one complete sitting and was sad when it ended. I love Jet , At the same time my heart was totally crushed by what Jasmine has had dealt to her in life and managing to do it all while raising the twins is amazing.
This book is well worth picking up. It is extremely well written and the characters are so good, I love how the author added a back story as well with Jets sisters. I highly recommend this to anyone. How loves a good romance.

I liked this book. It was heart breaking to me how much the main character Jasmine Marks has been through. How much she is juggling all alone would give any one a panic attack. Jet Barron is hot. He is also misunderstood, but because that is how he likes it. He really doesn't let anyone really know him.

I loved the start of this book. I loved how Jet put his foot in his mouth from the start with Jasmine. It had me smirking as a reader.

I love that Jet slowly moves in under Jasmine's skin. I love that when he makes a decision to Man Up he does it and he does it in a big way.

I enjoyed this book sincerely and truly. I loved the sub stories as well with Jet's sisters and his dad.

My main issue with this book was how towards the end of the book, everyone blames Jasmine for ending the relationship with Jet. Meanwhile, Jet has been non commital and has done nothing until that point to give her any reason to continue a relationship with him. He never answered her question about what they were doing, where they were going and based on what she did no thus far he was not interested in dating someone with kids. I think her breaking things off totally made sense and it was the opportunity for Jet to actually come clean about what he wanted and why hes behaved in certain ways.

When jet does finally apologize, it’s for the impulsive proposal whereas he should have spent time talking about how he felt about the girls and if he could actually be in a committed relationship with Jasmine. The fact that his family blamed her for 'breaking his heart' and making him act dangerously is ridiculous. The ball was in his court the entire story and he never owned up to his actions or entitlement.

It was ok, it was a cute story for the most part. I liked the hero falling for heroine (while telling himself he didn't want to) and starting to care for her children as well.

When it came to the breakup it didn't make sense to me at all, he proved time and time again that her worries about him being there for her and her girls was wrong. They had a fun day together with his whole family and all of sudden she breaks up with him and tries quiting her job. It that took her years to get a job in the field she went to school for and to find a company to hire a woman all while being a single mother (with a child newly diagnosed with diabetes) and she tries to QUIT.

I could understand if they broke up because he got cold feet or he did something that made her think he didn't want to be an instant father, but no he was there for her and her girls constantly then she breaks up with him after he told her he loved her. Made zero sense to me. The breakup lasted a month so I'm uncertain if he was celibate during the breakup. Np.

When a man finds their soul mate, the woman that they were destined to be with it doesn’t matter that they come with an instant family.

So the Baron family continues to expand and now it’s time for Jet to find himself a woman and with that woman comes two adorable twins. I loved how the author incorporated the kids into this romance and how I was not distracted with them at all. I actually thought they were cute and at times I found myself laughing because of the gestures they made or how they complete each other sentences but most of all how they one uped each other. When her story is revealed and come to find out that the people that she loved passed away she saw that as a loss and didn’t want her girls to feel that way. She didn’t want to bring in a man that would eventually leave them and also leave her. But the way I see it is she is allowing someone to love her, support her and be her friend and there is nothing wrong with that.

Jasmine “JC” Marks has been hired in a man’s world and she will do anything to make sure she doesn’t let down the person that hired her. She was a very smart, independent woman that had a successful career by the age of twenty-two and her she was working now at Baron Industries. There was only one thing wrong she her boss was the hot Dallas bachelor, Jethrop “Jet” Baron and he was very distracting. When Jet first meets JC he believes that his friends set him up with I believe a stripper because before she can even speak he is telling her to strip quickly before the person he is meeting comes. I could not believe him but he truly did get punked. Jet got an earful from Jasmine when he assumed that he was meeting with a man and no one should ever assume anything.

Lizzie warns Jet not to get involved with Jasmine because she is an employee and they don’t need a sexual harassment suit against the company. When Lizzie was talking to him I couldn’t believe what she was saying and especially because who was to dictate his life, he was just trying to be friendly. Okay I know that he was attracted to her but couldn’t they at least be friends and see where it would lead. Jet could see that she was tired and he wanted to let her know that she had a person that she could lean on but Jasmine didn’t want to get involved with him and especially since she had five year old twin girls, Brooke and Gwen. Only that life got in the way because one of the twin girls got very ill and she ended up in the hospital. I loved seeing Jet so loving and interacting with the children and I could tell that he was worried for Jasmine and also for Brooke. There was something amazing going on between them but before you know it a misunderstanding happens and before you know it she is quitting. But that’s not it he surprises me and also Jasmine because before you know it it’s him that is quitting giving her the job that she needs in order to raise her children. He is the one that steps away in order for her to keep her job but then he starts making rash decisions.

The Texan’s Twins was an awesome read. This story was well written and as were the characters. I love how descriptive the scenes were and how it captivated my attention. Jet was a loving man that loved to joke around but little by little I saw a man that could become a wonderful father. Then there was Jasmine and her heart felt story and I loved her in an instant. She was a wonderful mother that wanted the best for her little girls and when one fell sick I was devastated with her. The chemistry between Jet and Jasmine is electrifying and hot. They were two characters that were made for each other.

I can’t wait to read the next book in this amazing series.

Wonderful story. Jasmine is a hardworking oil engineer, a woman in a man's field. It has taken her awhile to find a job and now that she has it she doesn't want to mess it up. She is also the single mother of twin girls, which adds another layer of stress to her life. Things are going well until she's assigned to work with Jet.

Jet isn't known for commitment to anything. He has a job at the company, but is rarely at the office. He's more known for his rodeo activities and the number of women he has dated. But he's getting more involved with the company, as he's going to have to step up while his sister, who really runs things, is out on maternity leave. On his first day as the new Jet, he is scheduled to meet the new engineer at a prospective site. When he gets there, he sees a beautiful woman that he assumes is a stripper that his friends have sent to prank him. Open mouth, insert foot. The woman is the new engineer and she has no trouble setting him straight. I loved seeing the way that he shows he's much more knowledgeable than she expected, but that he also has some balance in his life.

From the beginning Jet is drawn to Jasmine in a way he's never been drawn to a woman before, He's always avoided women with kids, but Jasmine and her girls get under his skin and into his heart. While he is definitely attracted to her, Jet realizes that what Jasmine needs more than anything else right now is a friend. I loved seeing him be there as a shoulder for her to lean on or to cry on. It was great to watch as he overcame the confusion of his feelings to realize exactly what he felt for Jasmine and her girls. It was fun seeing him getting into being with the girls, playing with them, but also worrying so hard when Brooke got sick. I loved seeing the changes in him, from the carefree and sometimes careless guy at the beginning to the loving and responsible man at the end.

Jasmine's life has made her very independent and self reliant. She is used to doing everything on her own. She isn't quite sure what to make of Jet when she discovers that he's not the careless and clueless guy she thought he was. His help and support are hard to resist and she finds herself falling for him. But Jasmine is reluctant to believe that anything between them can last as she's had far too much experience with good things coming to an end. She pushes him away, telling herself she's doing it to protect her girls, but in reality she's afraid to believe that that kind of happiness is possible for her. I loved the ending and seeing how Jet's patience and understanding of her fears enabled her to overcome it all and reach for the happiness she wanted.

Overall The Texan’s Twins was a good read for me. I’m a big fan of these family saga type series and love the strong bonds between family members – whether protecting each other or giving each other the old “snap out of” it advice that is so often needed. I’m not a huge fan of kids in books, but the twins were adorable and added a nice dimension to the story, especially when it came to Jet.

I totally loved Jasmine…most of the time She was a very strong woman who was successful and smart, and even though she has loved and lost and now must raise her twins on her own, she has persevered and created a good life for her and the twins. I love that she has a very non-traditional job for a female – and that first scene between Jet and Jasmine when he thinks she is a stripper and not the engineer he’s supposed to be meeting still has me chuckling! She did tend to frustrate me at times with some of her actions though, which had me wishing she had some family of her own to tell her to snap out of it!

Jet started out just ok but began to grow on me throughout the book. It was nice to see him grow and change, and I loved how he was with the twins. He did frustrate me a bit with how long it took him to come around and realize the type of guy he really was, but once he did it was easy to fall in love with him.

Overall this was a good read that just fell a little bit flat for me, perhaps because both Jet and Jasmine got me a bit too frustrated at times which for me, took a bit too much out of the romance. I did enjoy the writing style of Ms. Britton so I will definitely look to try out some of her other books as well as look into the other books in the Texas Rodeo Barons, which are all written by different authors.

This had the potential to be a charming little book and I'm always a fan of books where there are twins involved, being a twin mommy myself. However, this one fell a little flat for me.

Part of it was the predictability of the plot. I knew one of the twins was going to end up sick (though kudos to the author for the disease/illness that it ended up being, rather than the one I THOUGHT it was).

I liked Jet's alternate thoughts regarding Jasmine and her kids. It showed real growth on his part over the course of the book when he came to accept that he was in love with a woman with kids when he'd always shied away from any romances where there were any signs of potential emotional commitment.

Cool to see a female in Jasmine's line of work.

I wish I could have liked the book more because there were certainly a plethora of great characters, but unfortunately I just didn't fully fall into the world. I had no trouble walking away from it (both during and after the reading itself). The author's talented, just not my cup of tea in this case.

Harlequin continues the tradition of American romances with this latest installment, THE TEXAN’S TWINS by Pamela Britton, part of Harlequin’s Texas Rodeo Barons series.
The basic plot works well in the story, a single mother comes to a new town to start over, meeting the ne’er do well cowboy along the way. When the cowboy is millionaire playboy Jet Baron, her boss’ son, sparks fly in all directions.
The characters are well-drawn in the story and there’s a lot of back story to support them. Supporting characters are a great asset as they help direct the story to its HEA. Side plots complement although I did find myself wanting to know more about Jet’s sisters, Lizzie, Carly and Savannah and their respective romances.
Jasmine is a strong character, a single mother of twins who has to balance her life as a mother with her job as an oil geologist. Illness, exhaustion, scheduling and all the pitfalls of a full-time working mother are portrayed well. It’s a pleasure to see her bring the confident and cocky Jet to his knees. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and recommend it.

he Texan's Twins tells the story of Jet (Jethro) Barons, the playboy and single mother J.C. (Jasmine) Marks.

J.C. is the daughter of a wildcatter. While she was engaged her fiance died, and she found out she was pregnant with twins. Determined to give them a better life she finishes her education. She finds it hard to get a job in a male oriented world until she was hired by Lizzie Baron at Baron Energies as their new Engineer.

Jet Baron was injured on the rodeo circuit so he is currently working at his families business Baron Energies. Of course when he first meets JC he mistakes her for a stripper. He doesn't realize that JC is #1 a woman and #2 a mother.

Many things happen in the book. Jet and JC become friends as well as co-workers. Are they able to trust and work on a relationship as well as their friendship? This is a must read. I enjoyed it very much. Pamela Britton is a new author for me but this will not be the last book I read of hers.

In The Texan’s Twins by Pamela Britton, Jasmine Marks is a focused and hardworking woman. And she has to be considering she is all her twins have. So when she has the opportunity to work for Baron Energies and have a job in a field where few practiced women are allowed, she left all her support system and moved in order to give her girls the best she can. She has no time for men, especially playboys like Jet Baron.

When his sister asked Jet to show the new engineer, Marks, the lay of the land, Jet expected a man since it is a more common career for men than women. But when he gets to the site, he finds a gorgeous woman waiting. He thinks that his friends are playing a prank on him and paid her to pretend to be Marks. Little does he know that her name is Jasmine Marks and she is the new engineer, making for a rough start to their working relationship. Read More...

This is a fine read as a female oil engineer, daughter of a hardened wildcatter, joins an oil firm where the rodeo-loving son of the firm is still stuck in twentieth-century thinking.

Great fun and I won't spoil the story by telling you too much. The lady has twin girls who are a credit to her although she's still just mid-twenties, and this has to curtail her socialising. We get to see a family-friendly rodeo and there is a brilliant helicopter ride.

I recommend the Texan's Twins as a good role model story and an interesting read, with an adult romance.

4.2 Stars. Public Library 3/17/15. J.C. is a single mother of two twin girls working in a man's world. So to say her attraction to her boss (Jet) is inconvenient is putting it lightly. Jet is known as the family aimless care free philanderer and the last man that should be interested in a woman with two kids. Yet they have instant chemistry when they meet. Can their relationship survive the hazards of work, family, and kids?

J. C. Marks is a single mother with twin girls. She is also an engineer with an oil exploration company. Jet Baron is the son of the company's owner. Sparks fly when J. C. and Jet meet. Cute story.

This is the fourth in the Texas rodeo Barons series (not the third). It was a decent read.
