Can love truly conquer all?
Waylan owns a construction company and had hoped to get the new home he was building for him and his son, Dom, done before school started. But supply issues are holding up the work.
His family doesn't have the best reputation in town thanks to the actions of his father. He thought the only person he'd ever love was his younger brother, Dylan. That was until the mother of his son dropped off their son when he was only a month old. He wrote her a check, had her sign her rights away, and immediately fell in love with Dom. He feels Dom deserves better than a mother who deserted him and a father with his reputation, so he's trying to do better.
Hailey was in the laundry room with her head stuck in a dryer fixing it when Waylan walked in. He's never seen a more beautiful woman.
Hailey's five older brothers have always warned her about strange men, but just looking at this man gives her the shivers. Despite their warnings, she tells him her name and the floor she's on. But before they can talk any longer, one of her brothers pops up to threaten Waylan. He's the first guy to ever stand up to her brothers.
Hailey moved to get away from her overprotective father and brothers. She was not happy when her brother, Rico, showed up. She's even more unhappy to learn that Gabe Hernández is her next-door neighbor. He's her age and best friends with her youngest brother. He's just as annoying as her brothers, and she considers him her sixth brother.
She's the lead kindergarten teacher at her new school. She's looking forward to her students and has tried to make her classroom bright, cheery, and welcoming to her students. She just didn't know Waylan's Dom would be one of her students!
She can't date a parent, let alone marry one, according to school rules. But love sometimes doesn't care about rules. But when her world comes crashing down on her, will love conquer all?

Ooh so hot!
Waylan is a single dad, and he owns a construction company. He's building a new house, but they're in an apartment for now. He's going to do laundry, but when he walks in the room, he's transfixed by the shapely rear end of the woman who's half in the dryer. He's barely able to speak when she shimmies out, triumphantly holding the thin piece of metal that was making noise in there. He hasn't seen her before. He'd remember that smile. It lights up the room.
Hailey is just moving into the building. She's soon to start her new job at the elementary school. She's been teaching for a few years, but she's finally moving away from her family, even if it's only by 20 minutes. Her parents and 5 older brothers have always tried to protect her, but it's really more like butting in. It will be nice to have a little more independence.
And when she meets a hot guy in the laundry room, she thinks maybe things will be better than she thinks. He even asks her out - in front of her brother!
And things are going great. Until she's in her classroom, meeting kids and parents before the first day of school, and Waylan walks in with his son. Her student. Effectively quashing any thoughts she had of dating him. She could lose her job.
Try convincing Waylan of that. He walks in, sees Hailey, and says he's going to marry her. In front of everyone. Talk about embarrassing!
So while she's trying to keep Waylan at arm's length, he keeps trying to find ways to spend time with her, often shamelessly using his son and homework as his excuse. Of course she can't say no to that.
And while they try to keep their budding relationship quiet, of course secrets always get out.
OMG! Waylan is just everything! OTT possessive, not to mention hot and tatted up. And with an adorable kid? Swooning over here! Add in her whole annoying family trying to butt in, and his friends trying to help him win the girl, and this was a fun short read that really made me smile. Who can resist a hot single dad??

Waylan is a single dad and building contractor. He is having a new house for himself and his 5-year old son, Dom aka Dominic; so he and Dom are living in an apartment until it is finished. He is taking dirty clothes to the building laundry room when he sees Hailey leaning into the dryer for something. At 25, Hailey is getting to live independently of her family. She has just moved into the building; when she exits the dryer, he thinks that she is the one that he is going to marry. He offers to show her around town when 1 of her 5 very protective older brothers comes to find her. But the brother doesn't scare off Waylon. What Waylan doesn't know is that Hailey is the new Kindergarten teacher and Hailey doesn't know that Waylan's son is starting Kindergarten. Open house for school has Hailey meeting Dom while Waylan parks the car; so when Waylan sees Hailey, he tells her that he is going to marry her in front of other parents. School doesn't allow parents of student to date teachers; teachers are fired if they break the rules. How can Waylan ask Hailey to date him if it could cost her job? Does Hailey want to date Waylan? If they were to date secretly, are they going to chance being caught? What does Dom want?.

Temptation Next Door is Book 3 of the Wilde Oak series. It's a short and steamy, instalove, OTT, age-gap, forbidden, he falls first, small-town, single dad, curvy girl gets her hunk romance. Hailey is a 25 year old sweet and curvy kindergarten teacher. She has 5 older brothers and has moved out on her own for the first time. Waylan is a hunky, inked, older, sexy single dad to 5-year-old Dom and a construction company owner. He is a nice guy with a bad reputation purely due to his father. He and Dom are living in an apartment while his new house is being built. When he runs into Hailey on the apartment's laundry room, he instantly falls for her. She finds him attractive too, although they part ways. She then learns that she is Dom's teacher. When Waylan sees her at school, he promptly claims he's going to marry her. But parent - teacher relationships are forbidden, and she pushes him away. Waylan and Dom find ways to interact with Hailey after school and worm their way into her heart. But what happens if they are caught? The chemistry between these two was pure fire, and we got a very happy ending after some drama. I loved it! This was my first book by this author but not the last.

I enjoyed this short insta-love romance between Waylan and Hailey. They meet in the laundry room of the apartment building they both live in. Hailey is the baby of family of boys and she is finally able to get some independence when she moves out and has her first teaching job teaching Kindergarten. Waylan has a run in with one of her brothers but isn't intimidated and then when he runs into her again in his sons classroom, he knows she is the woman for him. These two along with his son Dom form a bond, but Hailey doesn't want to risk her job or Dom being picked on by his classmates if she is dating his Hott father. How long can these two stay away from one another and can they date secretly is the question they have to answer.
Overall a nice story and I can't wait to read the next story with professional baseball player Gabe hoping to finally get the only girl on his baseball team.

What I liked- I really liked Hailey and found her easy to relate to. And when Waylan walks up to her and says he’s going to marry her, I melted. I can’t think of anything that I didn’t like.

Temptation Next Door is an amazing single-dad, small town, and forbidden romance. Temptation Next Door is the third installment of Wilde Oak series. Temptation Next Door is an ease to read story, a forbidden romance, wonderful characters, there’s some steamy scenes throughout the story, and there is a happily ever after in this book. Temptation Next Door is the fabulous story of Hailey and Waylan. The chemistry between Hailey and Waylan is sweet and spicy and their feelings for each other becomes to hard to ignore it any longer. I would definitely give Temptation Next Door as a suggestion for anyone to read. I’m looking forward to reading more books from the amazing author.

Hailey (h) is out on her own for the first time when she meets Waylan (H) in their apartment building. The attraction is mutual but Hailey pushes him away and is reluctant because his son is in her class. I liked Waylan, he was all in immediately and he let her know. Hailey was likeable and I enjoyed her interactions with Dom, the son. Fast paced and hot! Love wins in the end!!!

This is book 3 in Wild Oak series. I loved the whole series. I recommend reading the series from the beginning to get to know the characters better soon especially the MMC. The characters are great including the side characters. Really enjoyed Hailey and Waylan. Dom (Waylan's son) was so cute. Hoping for more books in the series.

This is a well written insta love with strong characters in Hailey, Waylon and his son, Dom. The author does a great job bringing them together and takes you into their lives with attraction and chemistry and kept me turning the pages reading their story. She moves the story quickly and Smoothly and delivers a terrific read.

Waylon and Hailey. He has a son, and they are neighbors. She is making him rethink his position on relationships. She also happens to be his son's teacher. He has his work cut out for him to win her. And let's not forget that a teacher and parent is a no no. Great read. Well written. Love stories that have a journey to navigate but worth it in the end.

Liked how this starts with such a declaration from Waylan, which definitely throws Hailey for a loop. Proud of Hailey standing up for herself and Waylan, a strong enough man to accept and fully support her decisions in life and with her career.

When neighbors meet and their attraction is instant things are bound to get hot, but it turns out that Hallie is the new teacher in town teaching Waylan’s son. Wayland is bound and determined to make her his and he knows he has his work cut out for him between her hesitation, school ties, and overprotective brothers. A quick read that is oh so hot and sweet!!.

An enjoyable read. This is book three in this series Wilde Oak and my first. This is a new author for me and I am looking forward to reading more from them. The story flows well, easy to follow. The chemistry between Waylan and Hailey is steamy. A fun read.
