This is the second book in the Wedding Planner series. This book could be read as a stand alone. The history of Adri Pyper is told in bits through the book so that you are able to understand who she is and why she behaves the way she does. But it is more fun to follow the series if possible.

The writing of the book is really well done. The mystery starts in the first chapter and I honestly did not know who the villain was until it was about to be revealed.

Adri is in Hawaii to prepare and execute a destination wedding for Luke's cousin. Luke is the divorce Lawyer that was also in the first book, Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things.

While she is in Hawaii on her first day, trouble begins and a mystery is afoot. Adri is in danger throughout the entire book and it is unclear who is causing the problems for her. There are several candidates in the running for the worst villain.

When Luke arrives he is still taking one step forward towards Adri then a huge step back. There is several interesting opportunities for Adri and she is in mental battle with herself.
Rachelle J. Christensen has done a wonderful job of keeping the suspense alive while maintaining a cozy and clean story going. It is a refreshing change to see the sweetness of the sleuth in a good mystery.

Adri is not your typical gritty rough and tumble sleuth. She is cute. She is not a former detective with an angry heart. She is just a girl that has had so much happen in one year that she is skittish.

I do get frustrated with her flightiness with me, but she is young and she has been told to keep her options open.
I know who I am always pulling for her to commit to, but does she?

All of the side characters are well written, you get to know them and understand them. It is a great series. Now I am ready to read Proposals and Poison.

We're back with Adri and a whole new slew of problems. We have a new wedding, a new location and a new leading man(Yes if you've read book 1, Luke shows up and is still in the running for Adri's attentions).

How does a dream wedding on Kauai sound? Heavenly and a place to catch a little R & R while Adri is planning and overseeing all the festivities leading up to a beautiful beach wedding and luau. Heavenly... that is until a dead body is discovered and multiple attempts on her life happen. Now she's in a race against herself and whoever the mysterious murder/attacker is to stay alive and keep everything on track for the wedding. Will she continue to keep important information to herself, or will she learn to trust others and possibly get their help and protection? Add into the mix of a murder, a crazy lady in pink who is bound and determined to have the bride Malia reschedule to a different day or time for her wedding. What? Adri cannot believe that anyone could be so pushy when she's had this day reserved and planned for months.

Veiled threats, danger in the waters, beautiful landscapes, relaxing beach walks, suitors all around, missing logos, bike rides, picnics, snorkeling, scrapes and bruises, drowning, spas and massages, flowers, handsome men, untrustworthy heart, flip-flops, cute crafty ideas, pictures, police and a little bit of paranoia.

Veils and Vengeance was definitely a great addition to the Wedding Planner Mysteries. I enjoyed reading about Adri's adventures(some deadly and some heavenly). She is great at observing and deducing information that pulls together into a great mystery. But beware because someone is out there watching her and following her every move. Will she be able to outwit the killer and attackers before it's too late? Or will they outwit her this time? With all the many scrapes and bruises she seems to be accumulating, Adri will need to step up her game if she has any hope of survival.

Once again I had my suspicions of who the bad guy was. I changed a couple times my opinion on who it was but had a niggling suspicion in the back of my mind of a person but wasn't sure at first. There were a couple clues right away that made me suspect them but Rachelle does a great job of giving lots of clues without giving it away. I love when I can read a mystery without knowing right away whodunnit! Yet keep me intrigued to think that I just might know. Yeah it was a fun read with the bad guy staring right at you lots throughout the book. Can you figure it out? So many to choose from...

I loved the setting for the book and must say it's been a place that I have always wanted to travel to. I went to Hawaii when I was a teenager and visited a couple of the islands but Kauai was one that I really wanted to see but wasn't able to. Oh yeah, it's going on the list for getaways that someday I might get to with my hubby! Beautiful descriptions of the island and fun places to visit if you are going there.

This review would be incomplete if I didn't mention our two suitors. Luke, our divorce lawyer from Idaho has finally decided to come to his cousin's wedding. Our other leading man is Jon, the brother of the groom. Both are very interested in Adri and both have to decide what they want to do to show her. But the question always looms for Adri, is one of them the murderer? Has one of them been attacking her? Are they only pretending with her emotions so they can get close and hurt her? Or are their intentions and admiration/like of her real? With her past relations looming in her memory can Adri allow anyone to get close to her? Plenty of questions for you to think on as you read this book and lots to lead us into the final book of the series. Oh I am just dying to know what happens. (pun intended)

Content: I would say this is a clean read. Some sweet kisses, an attack, a murder victim found, and some peril around every corner. Adri also has remembrances of the turmoil from her previous peril in the first book. I would definitely recommend this book for anyone who loves a good romance/mystery book. Fun, intriguing and perilous.

I won a copy from the author, no review was required, all thoughts and opinions are my own.

Happy Reading!!!

(2022) I just listened to this on audiobook and I loved it every bit as much as before! This author does such a great job with the subtle romance, the mystery, and the wedding planning business. So much fun!

(2015) (4.5) I love the little tips given at the beginning of each chapter. Some are wedding hints, others are craft ideas, and there are even recipes! Yes, the website listed above is real.

I read the first book in this series, Diamond Rings are Deadly Things (you can see my review here), and really enjoyed getting to know Adri and her business. She almost seems to be a magnet for trouble, yet she is a normal, very hardworking, and down to earth kind of girl. This book can stand alone, but I think a reader will definitely understand more if the first book is read first.

Can I just say, I loved the setting? Kauai... who could resist planning a destination wedding in Kauai?! Adri definitely couldn't and I loved that she takes time to enjoy herself while she's there. Relaxation and work are on her list of things to do, but instead, she finds a dead body. This isn't a mystery that I was able to figure out because there are a lot of twists. I really enjoyed the characters and the suspense and like I said before, the setting was perfect. I believe the places mentioned are real and I really loved how a visual picture of this place was painted in my mind.

Adri helps plan the perfect weddings, but I liked that she found a little romance too--in the form of a mini love triangle. This one has many elements that make a great story! I'm definitely looking forward to what's in store for Adri.

Content: mild romance; no language; mild violence (death and attempted murders, but nothing graphic). Clean!

Adri is in the business of making dream weddings happen. She takes the stress and details in her job as a wedding planner.

This is the second book in a series. I really enjoyed Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things and was excited to read more of Adri and the trouble that seems to find her. This book does a great job at explaining the back story of the first. I had forgotten several details and appreciated the reminders. You do not need to read the first to understand the plot, but it would be helpful.

This book takes place in Hawaii. I loved the setting. Rachelle Christensen does a remarkable job at describing the beauty and tourist attractions. Hawaii is on my bucket-list and this book strengthened my desire to go there someday.

The mystery remained a mystery until the end. I kept changing my mind at who I thought was behind the murder. Several suspects seemed likely. The twists and turns kept my interest until the end.

The romance was complicated. Adri has trust issues. The romance was clean and left you hopeful for her future.

This is a great mystery/romance series. I look forward to more!

4.5 stars for the second Wedding Planner Mystery. This book picks up about 6 months after book #1, Diamond Rings are Deadly Things, ends. Adri is in Hawaii on the beautiful island of Kauai for Malia and Kyle's destination wedding. The wedding is days away and since Adri is so meticulous and organized there's a lot of time for sightseeing and relaxing. Except Adri finds the body of a young woman when she goes snorkeling at Tunnels Beach with Malia, Kyle, and Kyle's brother and parents, her first day there.

Besides the mystery of the identity of the deceased young woman, who killed her and why, there's a kind of scary crazy woman staying at the hotel who wants Adri to change the day of the wedding luau even though it was scheduled months ago. As if Adri doesn't have enough to worry about, there's also an overbearing Maid of Honor, who doesn't seem to care what the bride wants or doesn't want at the bridal shower, thrown into the mix.

Luke (the divorce attorney from Book #1) comes to the wedding, because Malia's his cousin, and seems to be jealous of the attention Jon (the groom's super handsome brother) is paying to Adri. So the lady with a bruised and closed heart has two gorgeous men vying for her attention while in Kauai. Isn't this every woman's dream?

There are numerous suspects in this romantic suspense. When they find out the identity of the victim it only leads to more questions. Who can Adri trust? Is Jon paying attention to her so she won't suspect him? My suspect for the bad guy kept changing and I didn't suspect the guilty party at all.

This is a great follow-up to Diamond Rings are Deadly Things. Even though Adri's in Kauai we still get to hear from her business partner, Lorea, and Adri's mom back in Idaho. I love the tips and recipes at the beginning of each chapter. Such yummy recipes and cute ideas. Rachelle Christensen does a fabulous job describing the scenery which is probably as close as I'll ever get to Hawaii. I'm looking forward to reading the next book in this series.

I was a little nervous to read this book since it is A Wedding Planner Mystery #2 and I have not read the first book. I did not feel that I was missing anything or lost in the book because I had not read the first book. I am sure there is more background with certain characters that I would have known more about but there is enough said in this book that you understand everything that is going on.
I was a little iffy on wanting to read this book and I am so glad that I did. This book was really good. There was the perfect blend of romance and mystery so that you were kept interested through the whole book. I actually stayed up until 2 AM to finish the book because I had to find out what Adri decided about Jon and Luke and I needed to know for sure who murdered the lady!! I also loved that everything involving the murder and the romance was kept real and believable. Adri had a big decision to make but I love that she decided to go on dates with Luke and Jon so she could figure out who she really wanted to be with. Rachelle Christensen does an excellent job of pulling you into her story and making you want to keep reading to find out what happens next! I can’t wait to read the next one and might go back and read the first book too.

Veils and Vengeance by Rachelle J. Christensen

4 STARS

This is a clean cozy murder mystery. The story is full of romance, great scenery, craft ideas for weddings, suspense and mystery. I did guess some but missed on a lot too.

This is the second book in the Wedding Planner Mystery series. It can stand alone by itself but better if you read both I think.

Adrielle Pyper is a wedding planner who is planned a destination wedding in Hawaii. She has issues in her life about dating. Adrielle likes the grooms brother and agrees to go out with him. She also kinda likes a divorce attorney back home Luke. Luke is coming to the wedding too.

On her second day in Hawaii she finds a dead body while snorkeling. She can't stop thinking about the woman she found. Someone else is afraid of what she might have seen too.

Not everything is going okay with the wedding plans. Adrielle is even being threatened is she does not change some things.

Once I started reading Veils and Vengeance I did not want to put the book down. I want to see what happens next in some of the characters lives.

I was given this ebook to read so that I could give a honest review of Veils and Vengeance.

(4.5 stars) I loved the first book in this series and was excited to read more! Adrielle Pyper, or Adri, went through some traumatic experiences in the first book and she is now in Hawaii to help with a wedding. Things are going well until she's out snorkeling and finds a young woman's body. She can't get her out of her mind and tries to help figure out who she is and what happened to her but someone is determined to keep her from learning the truth.

I love the Hawaiian setting and felt like I was there. There were times that felt peaceful and others that were definitely hectic. I enjoyed the twists and turns along to the way to solving the mystery. There were plenty of suspects and I changed my mind quite a few times as to who the murderer was.

Adri is torn between two men in this book. She's recently met Jon and takes to him right away. She has some history with Luke, but they haven't always gotten along. I liked both of them but definitely had my favorite and was happy with the choice she made in the end. I'm looking forward to reading the next installment!!

I received a copy of this book to review. My opinion is 100% my own.

This is the second book in the Wedding Planner Mystery series by Rachelle Christensen and it releases today! If you haven't read the first book, Diamond Rings are Deadly Things, you might want to before picking up this book. While I believe this book could stand alone, you would really get a better feel for it if you have read the first book. The backstory that is a huge part of understanding Adri, is explained in depth there.

This is a fun, cozy mystery set in Hawaii. You just can't go wrong with a Hawaiian setting. It made me long to be there. And I will be soon. I just hope my trip is nothing like Adri's. I really don't want to find a body while snorkeling!!!!

Adri is a great balance of strong and vulnerable. She is good at standing up for herself which I really like. The romance in this book is light- slow growing and very spread out. The focus is more on the mystery part of the book.

I really enjoyed this book. It kept me interested and focused which is always a good thing. This is a fun series and I'll be looking forward to the next installment. Oh, and it's squeaky clean! Yay!

What a colorful picture Rachelle Christensen has painted of Hawaii in her latest book. It looks doubtful that I will ever get there, so I appreciated having everything described in such excellent detail. I love this author's books so was excited to get a chance to read and review another one. This included what I love best in a book: no offensive language or sickening sexual details, a good whodunnit with a spark of romance. Since Adri had two different men interested in her, we were, constantly, guessing which one she'd end up with. My only criticism of the book was that the one she DIDN'T end up with was too quick and clean-cut. Life just doesn't seem to happen that way :).

PS Even though I have an e-copy of this, I like to, physically, OWN all of her books, so I will be buying a print copy!

I love a great mystery that keeps my interest and keeps the pages turning. This book does all that very well. I really enjoyed the first book in the Wedding Planner Mysteries: Diamond Rings are Deadly Things, so I knew I was going to jump right back into another story for Adri. I loved the Hawaiian setting, that was a character on its own. Adri is a fabulous character. Her attention to detail and how she organized she is is entertaining to read. I enjoyed how Adri had attention from two men. Both were great for her, but one I liked a little bit better. As the story progressed, I enjoyed where the author went with the mystery, doing a perfect job of planting the right amount of seeds to try to throw me off the trail of who the killer was.

4 out of 5 stars. I hope Rachelle will do more books in this series!

Adri is in Hawaii for the wedding of Luke’s cousin, on the second day there, she goes snorkeling with the bride, groom and in-laws and finds a body weighed down by chains. Basking in the attention of the groom’s brother, Adri, tries to figure out who the victim was and why she was killed, in addition to dealing with potential sabotage of the wedding. When looks arrives, she also has to figure out how she feels about him. While this book is marginally better than the first my conclusions are
A. Adri is still dumb
B. Adri is still TSTL
C. Adri still hides evidence that could solve the cas
D. Adri has a death wish
E. Adri is still unable to make up her mind and leads on people she’s not really interested in because she can’t say no or feels bad about it.
F. Ughhhhh literally everyone is smarter than her, the way the author portrays her.

Great Read

This was an enjoyable read. This is the second book of the Wedding Planner Mysteries series. In this book, Adrielle Pyper, a wedding planner in the town of Sun Valley, Idaho, is in Hawaii planning a destination wedding. While in Hawaii, she discovers the body of a young woman while snorkeling and is traumatized. I thought the story was great. It was a great edition to my cozy mystery collection. I thought Adrielle was a great character. She was really interesting and relatable. I hope that I can see her character grows even more in the other books in the series. I thought the mystery was great. It kept the story more interesting. I thought the fact that I didn’t know who did it until nearing the last few chapters added to the mystery. I kept trying to figure it out, but then another twist came. I cannot wait to read book 3. Proposals and Poisons, here I come! Overall, a great read.

Another 3.5 stars for this one. Made me want to book a flight to Hawaii but reinforced why I don’t like to snorkel 😊. I had this one mainly figured out early on but there was enough stuff going on that I was captivated by the story. If you liked the first one, this is more of the same.

3.5 Stars

I was looking forward to reading Veils and Vengeance and finding out more about Adri after reading the first book in this series. I also think you could definitely read this one as a standalone, but it did help quite a bit that I had read the first book. Just like the first book, Adri is working on a wedding and finishing up the final touches for it in Hawaii. It should be a joyous, wonderful event and then tragedy strikes when she finds the body of a young woman in the ocean while snorkeling. This then initiates the mystery and suspense for this story as Adri tries to figure out what happened and how it all connects to those around her.

Adri still has a ways to go with her confidence in love and other people because of her prior history. When she started to spend time with one guy who was new to her life, I resisted because I remembered another guy from the last book who I thought she should give a chance. It was interesting to see how she interacted with two different men who were very different and knew her in different ways. There was also a different level of intimacy between Adri and Luke because of their experiences in the past from the last book. In some ways it was easier for Adri to be more carefree and let go with Jon because he didn't know her past.

Then there was the whole murder, a threatening hotel guest, attempts for foul play on others, and some things that Adri was trying to piece together to muddle the story and create plenty of tension and suspense. I liked that this was more on the cozy mystery side. There definitely was some danger, deception, and risks involved, but Adri had a few people on backing her up that she could count on to help her through it all. There were also a few things that didn't quite add up and felt slightly unrealistic, but otherwise it was a great mystery that kept me hooked and that I definitely enjoyed. The last half of the book I read about as fast as I could because I needed to find out what was going to happen and how the romance would progress.

If you're looking for a cozy mystery where everything isn't as it seems then I'd recommend Veils and Vengeance. Adri was an innocent, unsuspecting woman, put into danger, trying to finish organizing a wedding, enjoying Hawaii while doing so, with two men vying for her favor. There was plenty going on to hold my interest, especially towards the end.

Clean romance.
I received an advance copy of this for free in exchange for an honest review.
What starts out as an innocent destination wedding turns sinister after Adri discovers a dead body while snorkeling in Hawaii with the Groom's family. The situation turns more sinister as Adri keeps having accidents. Why is it happening, and who is the murderer?
The pacing of this book was perfect for me. I haven't read the first book in the series, so I loved seeing the story set up and unfold with the characters that were in the current book as well as others from the first book. You could read this without reading the first book, although events and characters from the first book were included. It only stirred my curiosity now to buy the first book and read it.
Typically I don't give 4 stars to a book that is just a fun book, but I really felt like the suspense built well, and enjoyed the setting and the story lines. It wasn't as intense as some best sellers I have read, but Adri's character, her determination to dig and find out the truth, with a dash of sweet romance mixed in, combined to make a good read for me.
Adri's gradual uncovering of the little facts that were involved with discovering the identity of the victim, figuring out her feelings with regard to the two men she was attracted too, and figuring out her feelings for them, along with the unraveling of the murderer made for a fun read for me. While not told from the police perspective, the recipes, the island descriptions, and the touristy things mixed in made a fun setting and backdrop as well. If I were really rating it, I would probably say 3.5, but I leaned to the 4 because it came together well for me. 5 is a classic novel for me, 4 is an intense fun read, or intense and well done, 3 is more reserved for fun or lighter fluff books.

This is the second installment in Rachelle J. Christensen's Wedding Planner Mystery Series. I read and reviewed the first book, 'Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things'. I feel a reader could enjoy this second book without having read the first book. This is a clean fiction mystery with smatterings of romance included.

The main character of the series is Adrielle Pyper, 'Adri'. She works as a wedding planner. Adri is a very strong main character -- an element I always like in a book. In this adventure, Adri is planning a destination wedding for her clients, Malia and Kyle, on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. In the first chapter of the story, Adri is snorkeling with the wedding party and finds an identified woman's dead body wrapped in chains and weighed down with some kind of weights. Naturally, she is shocked, upset, and traumatized at this discovery.

The remainder of the story involves Adri's attempts to solve the murder mystery while planning Malia's dream wedding. I won't spoil the mystery for you, but those of you who enjoy reading murder mysteries will be fully engaged in this plot.

I believe this author excels at her descriptive writing. Through her eyes, I experienced the stunning Hawaiian scenery and the sights and sounds of Kauai. The craft projects, recipes, and wedding tips at the beginning of each chapter are fun and add to the festive flavor of the story. {Note: The 'Mashed Potatoes & Crafts' website is a fun place to visit too.}

I highly recommend this book for fans of cozy mysteries, clean fiction, and clean romance.

NOTE: The author sent me a PDF copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. I was not compensated for posting my review here or on any other site.

Veils and Vengeance (Wedding Planner Mysteries Book 2) is by Rachelle J. Christensen. The second book in this series is as good if not better than the first. It is an excellent read and can be read as a stand-alone book.
Adri’s wedding business has hit a roll. Now she has a small family wedding to prepare in Hawaii. She has it all detailed out and all arranged and now finds herself in first-class accommodations in Kuani. Malia is a perfect bride, agreeable and pleasant. She just wants a sweet, small wedding here in Hawaii. Adri intends to make sure she got what she wanted. Adri joins the family in a snorkeling adventure at the Tunnels. Here she gets more than she bargained for when she finds the dead body of a girl wrapped in chains. As if this isn’t enough, the hotel double booked the space for a luau and wants Adri, who booked it six months ago, to change her spot for someone who booked it three weeks ago. Adri assets herself and the other client threatens her. Adri is adamant that the hotel finds another space for the other group. As time passes towards the wedding, sudden accidents begin happening for Adri. It someone out to get her or is she just being accident prone.
The action is fast paced and has some romance thrown in.

The beautiful island of Kauai is the perfect backdrop for Malia & Kyle's destination wedding. Adri is at her best - she manages to find time to enjoy the island while making sure that all her perfectly laid plans for the event come off without a hitch. Unfortunately there are some unexpected bumps along the way, but Adri manages to stay positive and come out on top.

This was such a fun book to read! Adri is such a great heroine. She's spunky, talented, and fun despite her difficult past. She carries pain, anxiety, and scars (both physical & emotional) from a past boyfriend who almost killed her. However, she manages to press forward and has a great outlook on life and not only puts her heart on the line to test new relationships, but she also tries to help others.

I can't decide if I like Jon or Luke better - they're both pretty great guys and have much to offer our fair Adri. Both are true gentlemen and are able to put aside their friendly competition for Adri's affections to help her in her time of need. If only all men were as chivalrous as Jon and Luke!

FYI ~ clean read

I really like Adri, and I have been looking forward to this second book. Veils and Vengeance is set it in Hawaii. The descriptions are wonderful and it makes me want to visit Kauai.
Adri is only in Hawaii a day or so before she finds a body while snorkeling. After her experiences in the first book, Adri is really affected by finding a woman floating underwater wrapped in chains.
The reason she is in Hawaii is to act as wedding planner for friend Malia and her fiancé Kyle. Small problems arise with with the wedding, which keep Adri busy.
She goes on some dates with Kyle's brother Jon. Luke is Malia's cousin, and he comes from Idaho to give Malia away. Adri and Luke go on some dates too.
Adri feels caught between the two men and is not sure how she should go forward.
In the midst of preparing for the wedding and spending time with Luke and Jon, Adri cannot forget the dead woman. She starts to look for information and has some "accidents".
Once again, Adri is in danger for her life as the mystery unravels.

I enjoyed this story. I received an advanced copy in exchange for an honest review.

After reading Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things I found myself feeling really disappointed with the book. When I saw Veils and Vengeance being offered for me to read in exchange for my honest review I was interested because part of my reasons for not liking the first one had to do with it ending the way it did(So as not to spoil for anyone who hasn't read the first book I will just say that it has to do with the romance). So the fact that the story could go on was appealing to me.

I found that I did like this book more than the first one and the major issue I took with the first book was addressed and mostly resolved, though I could see she probably left room for another book in the series. Adri is a wedding planner with a bit of a scarred heart but I think at times she is a bit flighty with her relationships, which can be annoying. But in the end she figured things out and that's all I can ask for.

Overall this is a fun, clean mystery with a beautiful tropical setting.

Do you crave a good, clean romantic read full of mystery and intrigue that's smart and fun to read? Then grab Rachelle's books! I throughly enjoyed this book and couldn't put it down. She mixes a murder mystery with romance in the beautiful setting of Hawaii very well and enjoyably.

Adri is a smart wedding planner with a head for planning and details, which gives her good detective skills. She intelligent and flawed and has trust issues. She's determined to protect her heart because of her last experience (in book #1). But hearts are not easily controlled as Adri soon finds out when the brother of the groom shows an interest in her and takes her on tours around the island. And the cousin of the bride, who was a previous contender as love interest shows up and wants to take Adri out too.
In the meantime, a girl is dead, a woman enjoys bullying Adri every time they met and Adri still has a wedding to pull. Busy woman!

Veils and Vengeance is a great book I am confident to recommend to any romantic or mystery reader.

This book begins shortly after the end of the first in the series, Diamond Rings Are Deadly Things, but it is easily read as a stand-alone. Adrielle Pyper is in Hawaii working on a destination wedding, which should be relaxing and fun. However, the discovery of a body while snorkeling changes the tone of her stay in the islands.

This series is a lot of fun. Each chapter begins with a wedding tip/craft from Adrielle's website, mentioned above. And this time around, since they are in Hawaii, we get descriptions of several spots, which was great for someone who has yet to travel to the islands.

The novel contains a few red herrings to attempt to confuse us about the identity of the killer. Adri finds herself in danger again, but she does solve the mystery, and pull off the perfect wedding for the happy couple.

I received a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. All thoughts and opinions expressed here are entirely my own.

I received an arc copy of this book to review, so here goes!! I had one complaint, so I'll get that out of the way first. I got really tired of hearing about her trust issues every time she got near a man, after revealing the nature of her distrust of men, it should have ended there, with maybe an occasional I'm not ready yet. Now to the positive, this book ROCKS!! It kept me guessing to almost the end as to who the killer was. The location descriptions were amazing, and it even made me want to go snorkeling, and I don't like the water. It had just enough romance to keep your interest piqued, and to have you rooting for either Team Jon or Team Luke. Some characters were very nice, and some you were hoping would get good uppercut to the jaw. All in all a very god and easy read.

This is the second book in the series and although I haven't read the first, it worked well out of sequence. I have never read anything by this author before but thoroughly enjoyed this! Set in Hawaii the beautiful scenery comes alive through the writing. The characters are well rounded and multi layered which is good for all the twists and turns.
What can go wrong planning a beautiful destination wedding? Well in this case everything from double booking arrangements with a fanatical group of activists as well as turning up a dead body in the water while snorkelling! I get the impression Adri doesn't have much luck as her back story is followed up throughout linking in the happenings of the first book!
A fabulous beach read.

I loved the first book in this series and so I was pretty excited to read this next one and it did NOT dissapoint. The perfect blend of beautiful scenes, romance, and mystery Veils and Vengeance was a great book.

Adri is dealing with a murder, two men who both want to date her, a wedding to plan, and a corporation that is trying to ruin her event. She manages to balance it all with poise and class and I love her for it. I don't want to ruin it for you, so just go read it.

This is the second book in a series, and I always recommend reading a series in order. As usual, the back story and important details are mentioned to bring you up to speed.

Suspenseful and informative. Adrielle is finally getting to experience the perfect destination wedding she has created for Luke's cousin Malia but what she doesn't count on is her attraction to Maila's handsome future brother-in-law Jonathan and finding a dead body while snorkeling her first day on Kauai. Set in Kauai, Hawaii this sequel contains a tropical vacation, a wedding with with multiple glitches, a psychotic executive, a fair amount of violence, 2 men vying for Adrielle, and a murder mystery.
