Tyrant

I. Remember. Everything.

Only now I wish I didn't.

When the fog is sucked away from my mind like smoke through a vacuum, the truth that has been beyond my reach for months finally reveals itself.

But the relief I thought I would feel never comes, and I'm more afraid now than I was the morning I woke up handcuffed in King's bed.

Because with the truth comes dark secrets I was never meant to know.

I will put the lives of those I love most at risk if I let on that my memory has returned, or if I seek help from the heavily tattooed felon who owns me body and soul.

I don't know if I'm strong enough to resist the magnetic pull toward King that grows stronger every day.

He's already saved me in more ways than one. Now it's my turn to do whatever it takes to save him.

Even if that means marrying someone else...

T.M. (Tracey Marie) Frazier never dreamed that a single person would ever read a word she wrote when she published her first book. Now, she is a eight-time USA Today bestselling author and her books have been translated into numerous languages and published all around the world.

T.M. enjoys writing what she calls ‘wrong side of the tracks romance’ with morally corrupt anti-heroes and ballsy heroines.

Her books have been described as raw, dark and gritty. Basically, what that means, is while some authors are great at describing a flower as it blooms, T.M. is better at describing it in the final stages of decay.

She loves meeting her readers, but if you see her at an event please don’t pinch her because she's not ready to wake up from this amazing dream.

After reading King I was not so patiently waiting for the sequel. It ended in one heck of a cliffhanger and I was more than ready to find out what happens next… The first thing I thought after finishing this book was WOW. I was completely wow’d by this story. It takes a lot for me to be completely and utterly shocked and surprised in a book and I love that this book shocked me.

 photo 361fef4d-14fb-43ba-ac31-84354dd8bb04_zpsdwzvhqdj.jpg

The first half of the book was great, but the second half is when the story really shined. I was blown away by what was going on and how these things came to light. Secrets came out, and when the big revelation was made, I got goosebumps. My heart stopped. I had to go back and re-read a few pages because that surely couldn’t be right… I’m so glad I had friends who had read this story because you will need someone to talk to once you hit that moment! I don’t want to divulge anything that could elude to the unforeseen moment, and I don’t want to spoil anything for anyone who hasn’t read King, so I won’t talk about the plot at all. You need to experience this epic story for yourself.

 photo b76ffd1e-7700-483a-9f97-224bd5a317fc_zpsdiuhcbg8.jpg

Doe was not a frightened heroine in this story. She wanted answers about her life and she was willing to do whatever she had to to find them. She’s trying to fit in the life that was once hers, while being her new self. It’s hard to balance the two, but ultimately she knows she can’t go back to who she was. She can only be herself and who she is now. And that person belongs to King. Whether he’s with her or not.

King has sacrificed everything and would continue to do so for the few people in his life that he loves. Doe is one of those people. King still isn’t your normal hero. He’s ruthless and he does what he has to do to not only survive, but protect those he loves. He’s not a good guy, but he’s also not a bad guy. He’s a complex character and no matter how much we learn about him, I always want to know more. I love his protective and possessive nature towards Doe.
There was a wild part of me that flourished when I was with King. I liked who I was with him. I knew who I was with him. That part, the part that couldn't be controlled, belonged to King, and no matter where I was or what either of us were doing, no one could ever take that from me.

T.M. Frazier is an exceptional author. When it comes to the dark, gritty and raw stories, she excels. With all that, she still manages to make me feel, and makes her characters relatable and real. And there is always romance involved as well. This series really does have it all. Even though King and Pup’s story concluded in Tyrant, I’m sure we’ll see more of them in Bear’s book! I can’t wait for that one!!!

Hmmmmmm...I am very much in the minority in my non-love for this book and series in general.

It just had too many holes in it for me, I guess. This review exactly describes my feelings. So rather than ramble on about my thoughts on a book that's already been reviewed as nauseum, I thought it best to direct anyone interested toward an already awesome existing review:

"You don't believe in God?"

"No, Pup. The only thing I have faith in, is you."

This was the PERFECT end to King and Doe's story!!!!
I went into this knowing that there would be some dark and gritty moments that might be pretty hard to take, and I was right!!! I'm not going to say what happens but just warn that the first thing that hurt my heart occurred around the 43% mark!! I was so upset that when I woke up the next morning, it was the first thing that popped into my head!! I really wanted to kill some people myself!!

The story picks up where the first book left off. King escapes from the car crash pretty much unscathed, but realizes that the guy who was supposedly a cop, definitely wasn't, and he thinks he knows who set him up. Doe is on her way back to her family's home and feels so lost. Her memories are not coming back to her and she doesn't feel a connection to anyone, except for her little boy. She's missing King terribly but at the same time feeling hurt over his supposed betrayal.

In this book, pretty much everything is not what it seems, and that definitely holds true for the people in this one. No one seems to be the person they portray themselves to be. There was one character that I kept saying was too good to be true!! I just didn't realize the depths of this person's betrayals.

There are some major WTF moments in this one and even though I really enjoyed it, I was thinking this was more of a four star read, but that ending just made me swoon so hard!! I rated it a Five because the ending was PERFECT!!!!

I have loved every book I've read by T.M. Frazier and am so excited for the next book, which will be about Bear!! After the things that went down in this one, I really need to get his story and there MUST be an HEA for him!! I believe his book comes out this December!!! I'll be doing a happy dance on release day for sure!!!

I was lucky to get the ARC of Tyrant, and by God! Was I lucky .
it's a brilliantly written book , a perfect sequel to King. Both King and Doe rediscover themselves in this book, and we readers discover another side to Bear . We alo discover a whole lot of twists and turns and whoa! This story boggles your mind.
I wash Eli scene was elaborated more , but other than that, it's a perfect love story between imperfectly mismatched people . I can't wait into dive into Bear's book in Dec. Or Jakes book.
Ho is the real Tyrant, Bear, Jake, Daddy, King , ....orrrrrrrrrr.
discover for yourself and be STUNNED!
A must must read

SPOILER FREE REVIEW
4.5 Stars

I sometimes wish I could just forget it all, but I can't. I won't. Because I don't want to ever want to forget you. And I welcome this pain because it reminds me that you were real."

I'm spent. Emotionally exhausted. Fucked the fuck up. This book....I can't even. Every single time I end up finishing a book by T.M. Frazier I find myself wanting to live in her head for just a little bit just to personally witness the fuckery that must take place there on a daily basis. The woman is an evil fucking genius is what she is and her writing never ceases to grab me right by the throat from the very beginning and keep me glued to the pages right till the end. I didn't think it was possible, but I liked Tyrant even more than I liked King, and I fucking LOVED King.
I never expected to fall in love with King. My captor, my tormentor, my lover, my friend, my world.
But I did.

Tyrant begins immediately where King left off and there is not one dull moment for the entire fucked up ride. And holy shit on a cracker it was one fucked up ride. Filled with twists and turns that will leave your head reeling, it was action packed and Gritty. As. Fuck.

I honestly don't want to give any details for this book because it would either be a spoiler for this one or for King for those that haven't read it. So you won't get much more from my review than what the synopsis gives you.

Pup is still dealing with her memory loss while flashbacks continue to trickle feed into her mind bit by bit. She doesn't remember much, but there's one thing she knows; no matter what her past, King undoubtebly holds her heart and her future.
You seem to have forgotten who the fuck I am, Pup. So I'm going to remind you....
I'm the man who took you against your will and handcuffed you to my fucking bed. I'm the man who wanted you, so I fucking kept you. Do you really think you have a choice when it comes to being mine?"

King is still dealing with the fallout from the events that took place at the end of book one. Knowing the danger he still faces, he also knows that he'll do everything to protect the ones he loves, even if it means taking a bullet.
In this world, there is very little I believe in, Pup. But I believe we belong together."

There are a whole lot of revelations, some of which you will never see coming. There are also parts of the book that will leave you a shuddering, quivering, and ugly crying mess. Each time you think that T.M. can't take an already fucked up situation and fuck with it some more, she proves you wrong. The woman is a damn sadist!

Then again, I wouldn't have it any other way.

I loved the hell out of this book. This is one of those stories that could never have been the same if it was written as one book, and having it be a duet made it that much better. It's rare that I'll enjoy book 2 even more than the first but that's exactly what happened here. If possible, I fell for King even more in this one. He gets that bit of humanity and hard-edged softness to him that some may not have seen in him in the first book. It's definitely a lot more evident here. Pup continues to grow into her own and for a heroine that's only 18 years old, she certainly gives as good as she gets. No sniveling weak ass female here. For those of you that loved Jake and Abby, you're going to LOVE a certain cameo they have in this book. Jake *lusty sigh*

Every single answer you were hoping to get after book 1, you will get here in spades. The way that the author manages to tie up certain events that you didn't even give a second thought about before was mind-blowing. That's not even touching the revelations that happen at the end.

For those that have been impatiently waiting for Bear's book, Tyrant will set you over the edge. Holy shit but the set up for his book here is UNBELIEVABLE. I have a feeling his story will be even more fucked up than King's. And I for one cannot wait to get my hands on him so T.M. can fuck with my head some more. The woman is the queen of grit and I love her for it.

5 “Calm your clit.” stars

Doe finds out that she is Ramie Price a.k.a Ray, Miss Teen Mom America, and comes from a life so different than the one she chooses to live today. The family she was born into is nothing short of a nightmare, masked by money and luxury. She'd give anything to have her family back...but if she does go back, it means leaving behind a piece of her.
"Oh, Pup. I'm pretty sure even death couldn't keep me from you."

King wants blood... they took what was his and now they must pay. But it seems that he has more than one battle on his hands, needing to take out the latest threat he must leave his Pup where she is to keep her safe, so he can do what he needs to do to bring her home. Staying away though doesn't mean not reminding her who she belongs too, and it's something he doesn't mind reminding her over and over again.
You did not take what was mine and not expect to pay in blood, sweat, or pussy. He took my girl. He wanted to take my life. His payment would be in blood.

There has to be a way to blend her past and her present, creating a future that is built up of her own choice with the people that means most too her. In order to do that though, she must remember the past. In time she realizes that her mind was protecting her by taking her memories away for the truth is too much to bear, luckily for her she isn't the same girl she once was; she is stronger and fierce, unwilling to go down without a fight.
With King, I was the me I wanted to be. The me I was supposed to be. And that girl, belonged to King. Body and soul.

Tyrant is the highly anticipated follow-up and finale of Doe and King's story. With King ending the way it did, I felt crazed not knowing what was going to happen next, knowing that whatever it would be wouldn't be pretty, wouldn't be fun and just as wild and fierce as the couple themselves. King did not disappoint, he came at all threats full of his bad-assery, I still get the shivers every time I think of the way he handled his business. Doe was lost in her past and unsure about her future, the only thing that stayed the same was the love she feels for King, wanting nothing more than to start a family with him.

It was a crazy roller-coaster of a ride, with lots of twist and turns and moments of shock and awe. I loved the flow, the flashbacks and the series of events that lead us to the end. It pulled so much emotion out of me, and when things got to heavy, a lightness was thrown in making me smile. My heart was heavy and full by the end of it, I loved the journey and I wished it was longer even though I know that I'd have to spend more time in some not so nice events. This is an over the top story, so just go with it, but know this isn't for the faint of heart. I can't wait for Bear's story, his demon's are far greater than most and will make for one hell of a ride.

~5 LOVING KING STARS~

"She owned me. Heart and black f**king soul." -King

description

Tyrant is the long awaited follow up to T.M. Frazier's KING which was released earlier this summer. King is a read that brought me straight to my knees. It's no secret that after King was released (and consumed), kindles were crashing, hearts were breaking, tears were falling, and alcohol consumption was at a high. How could it end with such a heartbreaking cliffhanger? I can personally attest to the torment my heart was feeling upon finishing KING. Whatever disease ate away at my heart, Tyrant was and is the cure! TYRANT was able to relieve any and all fears, heal all hurts, answer every question, and allow my heart to succumb to more tenderness than I ever thought possible from the infamous "bad boy" King!

description

King is in the clutches of a lawman and is being taken away. Doe is with her father "the senator" and, unbeknownst to her, she is a mother. Both main characters are thrust into the unknown. Both are experiencing the pain of being torn apart. Can they ever find their way back together after so much destruction?

"I kept telling myself I didn't have anything to offer her, but that wasn't true. I had love."-King

It takes King about one hot second to realize that he is in a bad situation. He grapples to find a way out. As he breaks away from the strongholds, he recognizes that he should have never made a deal with the devil.

"He took my girl. He wanted to take my life. His payment would be in blood."-King

description

Doe is in a state of confusion. When we first met her, she had no memory of who she was. Then she was consumed with KING and found peace in his arms. Now she is thrust back into the murky waters of the unknown. She fears the memories of her past. She questions her future. She doesn't know who she can trust. Doe now has her family and friends to help her find her way. Instead of finding answers, more questions weigh her down and she begins to feel like she is drowning. The lingering memory of King haunts her like a spirit that won't fly away.

description

"There was only one person whose very presence could quiet my overwhelmingly loud fear of the dark. King"-Doe

As the plot thickens, tension is high. King and Bear must battle the devils of their past and Doe must face the devils of her present. All while grieving the loss of their friend and feeling the pain of not being together. Can King and Doe find peace in each other's arms again? How did Doe loose her memory in the first place? Can we truly find peace after such a torrential storm?

"You can be pissed off and still love someone at the same time."-Doe

description

Tyrant is one action packed read full of passion, lust, desire, love, and tenderness. The characters are complex and thoroughly developed throughout. Each moment is set with precision and carried out with detail rich in colors. The ownership that King and Doe share for each other is unsurpassable by all of their enemies. I was clearly taken by the book from the first page but as the journey begins to really take off, I was unable to put the book down. Each twist and turn held me captive. The desperation I felt for both King and Doe was intense and felt deeply! With every question that was answered, a new question was asked. The story arc was well crafted with a complete beginning, middle, and end. It is unknown how T.M Frazier is able to break me and put me back together again and again. I only know that I look forward to every time she does it.

"This. You. This is everything."-King

description

Overall, I highly recommend both King and Tyrant to anyone who enjoys a dirty and dark romance full of passion and tenderness. I was moved by both the individual and collective stories of King and Doe. Additionally, the ever present supporting characters continue to bring humor and joy throughout. The sexual chemistry between King and Doe is erotic and the love they share for each other is truly the heartbeat of their story. I was beyond pleased to see some of my favorite T.M. characters resurface in Tyrant. It was a beautiful reminder that they are still living and breathing and happy. I simply cannot rave enough about the action, suspense, and mystery in this read. Simply put, Tyrant does not disappoint. As for Ms. Frazier, I am in awe of her mad writing skills and my kindle and I are anxiously awaiting for more. Bring it!

"I will always find my way back to you , baby. Always."-King

If you have not read the first book "King" and the second "Tyrant", leave as soon as possible. I warned you.

I thank for reading this series when almost all the books are available, because I would not have the patience to wait for the outcome. As in the first book, drugs, violence, sex and bad language are used.

Doe, Ray, is in a difficult situation because even though she is at home, with Sammy, Tanner, his father and mother, she only vaguely remembers Tanner's eyes.

His son Sammy is clearly Ray's son because he is her living portrait, but it was very sad for me to have the same name as my beloved Preppy, currently he lives with his father, Tanner, who is not only the father of her son, but also her best friend since childhood, with whom for years she has plans for the future, who is a cancer survivor and is adorable and clearly loves Ray.

His father is an important senator, for whom politics is his life. Her mother faces her psychological problems by staying in therapy clinics, which her husband and the lady who works at home call "spa". She doesn’t remember any of them. The only thing she remembers is Tanner's eyes.

Tanner offers to help her recover her memory by taking her to all the places where they have history together, but she still does not remember.

Nothing seems familiar to her and she realizes that the life she used to live before seems frivolous and doesn’t see herself wearing the clothes she used to wear before, nor listening to the music she heard. The only thing that seems right is her love for King.

“I wasn’t about to wear white and pretend to be an angel, when I’d lived and fallen in love with the devil.”

King visits Ray one day and tells her that although he wants to take her away at that moment, he has a difficult situation to solve and it is best that she stay where she is, that he will look for her as soon as he solves the problem.

"I will always find my way back you, baby. Always. "

But King takes time to arrive and when Ray remembers everything and knows who is the bad guy in the story, she can’t locate him and everything begins to go down.

“I’m not afraid of you anymore, I’m only afraid of a life without you.”

With this book it is guaranteed that there is not a moment of boredom. I liked King a little more in this book because he doesn’t look so indecisive and it looks like he knows what he wants and he wants it now!

This series has achieved what very few books have achieved: that I can’t imagine the unraveling and knowing who is the villain. The ending is unique and the epilogue is beautiful.

5 **Because...pancakes.** STARS

“You did not take what was mine and not expect to pay in blood, sweat, or pussy.
He took my girl. He wanted to take my life?
His payment would be blood.”

I have to confess something. I was sceptical about this book. When I first read King, I immediately fell in love with the characters, the crazy twists and turns, but most of all Preppy and the beautiful love story. So, why was I not sure about this book? Well, because when a book completely takes your breath away that's like catching lightning in a bottle and I always thought lightning wasn't supposed to strike twice, but it did. Oh man, did it ever.

At this point I'm not even sure which book I like better.

Tyrant picks up right where we left off with King. Doe is taken back home by her father, boyfriend and son. King on the other hand is being arrested by someone who turns out to be no police officer at all.

The dynamic and feel of this second instalment is quite different from the first book. For the better part of the book Doe and King are separated, fighting a war on two fonts, if you will. Doe or Ray or Pup, whatever you want to call her, has to figure out how to reconcile the person she has become and the one everyone expects her to be, which happens to be mainly a mother. Talking about mindf*cks.

There are still so many open questions, but with the return home Doe finally experiences little flashbacks and remembers snippets from her former life. It is quite remarkable how Ms. Frazier put it all together. I loved the pacing with which she revealed the story and what a tale it is. I had so many 'WHAT...BUT HOW...I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!' moments.

“I'm not afraid of you anymore, I'm only afraid of a life without you.”

King on the other side of town is fighting an uphill battle. He wants his girl back, maybe even get his daughter if at all possible and then there are some forces closing in on him he really can't handle at the moment. It's all very much a clusterf*ck.

In the end he remember who he really is - the bad guy. And once he does The King of the Causeway starts to kick some major ass and don't be surprised if he takes a few names here and there.

For me personally, this was a perfect book. It had it all. Insane revelations, smoking hot interactions between our lovely couple and some seriously smooth writing. But most of all, Preppy. Not going to say more, because if you haven't read books one....*huggles*.

What broke my heart and at the same time made me very excited for Lawless, was Bear's storyline. Should make for an interesting read if nothing else.

“You and me... We're a forever kind of thing.”

Tyrant is a gripping, fast paced conclusion for this two part series. I could not put this books down. It is an edge of the seat read with a storyline that will have your head spinning out of control. I'm absolutely serious about that. Once Ms. Frazier started to put the strings from book one and two together my mind felt a bit like exploding. It is pretty genius and I honestly didn't see it coming. Kudos to that!

*sigh* And we have another Book Hangover! Oh well...

Tyrant picks right up where King left off, and it hits the ground running. There is no shortage of action in this sequel. Actually, this book is more action packed than its predecessor. Tyrant has pretty much everything I could have hoped for. Aside from the abundance of action, there is plenty of suspense, intrigue, twists, turns, love, sex, violence, and revenge. Emotional and heartfelt moments abound, but I managed not to cry this time. Lol

The plot was fantastic and always held my interest, but my favorite thing about this series is still the characters. I fell in love with them in the first book, and I became even more enamored with them in this one. If I forget anything about this series, I can guarantee it won't be the characters.

My feelings for King were the most improved overall. He was no longer wishy washy about his feelings for Doe. Him being completely devoted to her throughout the story allowed me to love him so much more. There wasn't any neck breaking mood changes or emotional uncertainty this time around. It is a beautiful thing when a man as badass as King allows himself to be vulnerable in the name of love.

He may have softened when it came to Doe, but in every other way he was as fierce as ever. No one was going to stand in his way or be allowed to hurt him or the ones he loved and walk away alive. I love how protective he is over everyone, not just Doe, but Bear, too. They were really lucky to have him in this book.

Doe has faced so much over the course of these two books: rape, memory loss, physical assault, loss of loved ones, hunger, homelessness, and unimaginable betrayal. There is no denying that it would be a lot for anyone to deal with. Everytime I start to think that Doe isn't a strong character, I remind myself of everything she has been through and marvel at the fact that she isn't dead, deeply depressed, or crazy. Doe endures and keeps going no matter what, and that is what makes her remarkable to me.

If you thought the romance between Doe and King was hot in the first book, then it's on fire in this one. Everything between them is more emotional, intense, and passionate. I love that Doe inspires King to be a better man, and he inspires her to live life to the fullest. They are the perfect match.

Reading about Bear in King made me like him. (Hell, when King pissed me off, there was a moment where I was hoping Doe would just leave his ass and go with Bear. Lol) This book made me feel for him. I am so ready to read more about him in Lawless. Something tells me I'm going to love it! :)

I appreciated that Preppy was gone but not forgotten in this book. Despite him not actually being physically there, his presence was felt throughout the story. I have a couple more books to read before I get to his, but I can't wait!

Though I enjoyed Tyrant very much, I couldn't give it more than 4 stars. The primary reason for that is because I saw the twists coming from a mile away. Additionally, part of the big revelation didn't seem believable to me. I'm sorry to be so vague, but if I elaborate further I will be spoiling a major part of the book. Please don't let that discourage you from reading this though. I have heard so many others say that they didn't see it coming, and it took them totally by surprise.

Regardless of the issues I had with it, Tyrant is a fantastic book. The writing is evocative and addictive. The story is engrossing, intriguing, and suspenseful. The characters are complex, imperfect, memorable, and endearing. If you are, like myself, one of the very few people that still haven't read this series yet, don't wait any longer! I wish I hadn't! :)

So I'm sitting here with a pint of wine trying to process what I've just read.

I just....I mean....it's that....I.....oh I can't even form two fucking words to describe how I felt about this motherfucking book!!!

HOLY FUCKING FINGER FUCKING!!

THIS FUCKING BOOK!!!!

Is it normal to want to cry and laugh at the same time??

I want to cry from pure happiness and sadness because it's over and laugh because I tend to do that when I don't know what the fuck else to do.

King finished with one bastard of a fucking cliffhanger and all I kept thinking was how the fuck is this fucking author going to top this fucking book!!

KING fucking RUINED ME! and I just thinking what the fuck is going to happen to My King and his Pup!!

I NEEDED TO FUCKING KNOW WHAT HAPPENS!!!

Well I can safely say I didn't expect THAT to happen!

FUCK MY FUCKING LIFE I was all over the fucking place!!

It started off where it finished and just kept going from there and I was like 'Erm OK yeah I get that' and 'Oh look it's Bear and his biker gang, Hi Bear!' and 'Oh yes I remember him' and then it was 'WAIT WHAT THE FUCK IS HAPPENING!!!'

FUCK OFF, FUCK OFF, FUCK OFF! I DID NOT SEE THAT COMING!!

Just like when I read King, my adrenaline was shot through the fucking roof and I didn't know wether I was coming or fucking going!

Although this time around I didn't want to throw my kindle at the wall or punch someone in the fucking face at the end but I still fucking screamed just as hard!!!

Seriously if I had a pair of balls they would of been sweaty as fuck throughout this fucking book!!

T.M. Frazier sure fucking knows how to put us through some serious shit and she a fucking GENIUS for it!!!

It's hard to talk about the story as I know readers are waiting for Tyrant to come out before they even start KING but I will say that you will fucking want to grab this story with both hands and rub it against your nipples!

It was out of the fucking world amazing and I wish I could rewind time and read it all over again!

My beautiful King, I want to ride your fucking face and fuck it into next week!! Your cock and my muff gate need to get to know each other a little better and by getting to know each other I mean they need to mate. I want your babies!!

THE FUCKING ENDING!! I actually choked on a sob and not a cock this time!! Omg my heart was so happy at a certain scene that I had to cuddle my kindle and cry in it!

I LOVED EVERY SINGLE FUCKING BIT OF IT and so sad it's over!!!

I can't fucking wait for Bears book and was so happy when I got to have anal with him in the past! Apparently I make him feel better with some bum fun!

LONG LIVE THE MOTHERFUCKING KING!!

"In this world, there is very little I believe in, Pup. But I believe we belong together.”

"You don’t believe in God?” I asked.

"No, Pup. The only thing I have faith in, is you." <3

I'm writing one review for this book "duo". Mainly for myself, so I can remember why the lower rating. I enjoyed the story...however, the execution was awkward, the plot was riddled with glaring and uncomfortable holes , and the violence was extreme. Rape of important people constant blood and gore, the death of many likeable characters, and King's over the top high-handed bossiness wore me the eff out. Each book was around 200 pages, the first of which ends on a major cliffhanger. I think this could have either been pared down into one book with less drama or lengthened and strengthened by some hard core beta reads and editing. As is, it felt thrown out there and unfinished. It was a good bare bones plot, and I think I'm more bummed at the lost potential than anything else.

This was a fantastic conclusion to King and I definitely did not predict how this would pan out. Holy shit!

We pick up immediately where we left off, with Ray back home with the family she doesn't remember including her childhood sweetheart Tanner.

King is now free to seek revenge on the Senator for duping him, and to claim back Ray, but with an absolute shit-fest going on back home with the drug business, he is unable to go to her as soon as he'd like.

For the meanwhile, he believes she is safe where she is, but it soon becomes clear that there are more demons lurking than originally thought.

Ray is struggling to fit into her old life, but as long as King is planning on coming back to her, she will use the time to try and learn about how she came to be found almost dead in an alley with no memory.

I was on the edge of my seat throughout the whole book, it was full of suspense and action and some truly shocking moments, but above all we had the story between a tough alpha guy and a kickass heroine. I loved it!

I have only one thing left to say. BEAR - oh my fuck, I cannot wait for Lawless, I loved him just as much as I loved King. (And Preppy :( )
"That's where you're wrong old man. 'Cause whether he wears a fucking cut or not, King is my brother."

This is the conclusion to the KING duet and is told in dual POV

"I felt free.
With King, I was the me I wanted to be. The me I was supposed to be.
And that girl, belonged to King.
Body and soul."

A fitting end to King's story. Ahhh this was such a good sequel. It had its ups and downs, it did get slightly slower in the middle but once it picked up, the plot twists just kept coming and oh it was so so good 😩😩

Doe and King are perfect for each other. Yes there's an age gap, I didn't mind that much. Yes they both have flaws...not King tho, not in this book. I like how he finally stepped up.

Preppy 😭😭 I can't wait to get to his books in the series. I still haven't warmed up to Bear so looking forward to getting to know him as well.

If you want a dark romance with an actual action packed plot. Do give this series a go!

Holy freaking hell what did I just read? Tyrant the sequel to King was every thing I wanted and I didn’t even know it!

I never expected to fall in love with King. My captor, my tormentor, my lover, my friend, my world. But I did.

I still remember how I felt when I finished King I was completely blown away and in love with King and Doe’s story. I couldn’t wait for more and to learn their fates. Knowing Frazier is crazy talented I knew this sequel would be amazing, but I couldn’t have predicted how much I would love it.

Tyrant picks up where King leaves off. Doe is back home with her family and her memory has still not returned. She only feels connections to certain people. She is lost and still longs for her old life with King. Meanwhile, King has his own battles to fight. He wants Doe back, but also knows she isn’t safe with him right now.

I will always find my way back to you, baby. Always.

The story is told in dual POV’s so we get to see the story progress simultaneously with King and Doe. Their plots are so different, but I was equally engaged to both storylines up until the point they merged. I loved knowing what was going on with King and seeing Doe come to truly know herself.

I loved the connection between Doe and King. My favorite part is they came together when Doe didn’t even really know herself or have any memories. I loved how she stayed true to her love even after going back into a completely alternate lifestyle. Despite their age difference or economic situations their love was unconditional. So while this story is most memorable for it’s shocking moments, I loved the love story just as much!

The biggest thing I can tell you about Tyrant is expect the unexpected. All my thoughts and theories going into this book were completely wrong. I loved being shocked and seeing things progress. I am completely blown away with Frazier’s ability to craft such a suspenseful story, it was the perfect balance of angst, sexiness, and love. This is one of those books you want to shout from the rooftop for everyone to read. Highly recommend!

I'm going to do this in true KING fashion "This was FUCKING epic!!"

Loved it, Devoured it!! I'm not going to lie a few times reading this I had a tear or two leak..And just as a side note if you ever lose your car keys always check the freezer - that there had the tear leak coming at me - you will understand this when you read this..

Remember that sucky crusty monkey balls ending on King #1 you'll be happy to know that this book starts off right where that ended..

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

King Revenge is sweet. I could practically taste the revenge on my tongue, I was salivating in anticipation of the moment I would be able unstrap a belt from my arm and wrap it around the senator’s fucking neck for crossing me.

Image and video hosting by TinyPic

Pup. Doe. Ray. Whatever the fuck her name was. I loved her more than what was normal, rational or sane, and I would gladly rot in fucking prison with a smile on my face if I knew my girl was going to be ok.

Shit is going to get real!!

If you loved book #1 without a doubt you are going to love this even more!!

I could practically taste the revenge on my tongue. I was salivating in anticipation of the moment I would be able to unstrap my belt from my arm and wrap it around the senators fucking neck for crossing me.

This isn't just biker shit any more. This is cartel shit. Bigger.. Badder.. Deader..

Loved all the twists and turns, wasn't anything I would change about how everything panned out!! Can not wait to see what T.M. Frazier brings us next!!

Re-read note: SO worth it! I don't doubt there will be a third re-read at some point lol

4.5 stars. Well, I was expecting something major to happen but I was definitely surprised by the Tyrant. This tale gets more and more intense with some pretty serious happenings. Not just for Doe and King but for Bear, too. I was pretty much enthralled from beginning to end. The literary "voice" of the MCs was well done with just the right amount of personality and depth. The plot evokes feeling and emotion, both good and bad depending on what's going on. King has come a long way from the man screwing a random girl on his tattoo chair. Doe has found the girl that was lost in the recesses of her mind. As everything came to a head I found myself glad I've come to know these imperfect characters. It has been quite the experience. I'm excited to read about Bear now :-) I'm definitely a new but very enthusiastic fan of this author. Safety: No OW. Yes to OM but nothing physical aside from a kiss and handholding happens and at the time, the h believes H is not going to be around at all anymore. No sharing (and King would tell you "he'd kill and motherfucker who tries to get with his pup"). They used condoms sometimes. There is rape/abuse. No pushing away but there is separation.

Once again, I find myself falling into unpopular opinion...
For those of you who loved this one, please don't hate me ;)

description

Finding out the truth about who she is, isn't what Doe was expecting. Returning to the life of Ramie Price, a privileged, Senators daughter, Doe also learns she is a mom. She misses her chosen family, but knows she can't leave Sammy behind. So she tries to reclaim her memories, including those of Tanner, her best friend and the father of her child, who also claims to be in love with her. *sigh* This chick must have a golden vagina. I swear, she has zero personality, but every damn body falls in love with her to the point of obsession.

description

King, having escaped death once again, is pissed. Doe is his, and that is that. But an old enemy has returned, so before he can get Doe back, he has to take care of business.

You did not take what was mine and not expect to pay in blood, sweat, or pussy. He took my girl. He wanted to take my life. His payment would be in blood.

description

I don't even know where to start. This book. It is dark, gruesome and gritty, but most of the time it just felt over the top, and honestly, I felt zero connection to King or Doe, together or apart. As characters I found them flat, one dimensional and just bland.

description

Tyrant is a fast paced read, and reveals are made, I can see why some readers love it, but honestly, my feelings on this series are still, 'meh'. That said, what made both King and Tyrant redeemable was the side characters, Preppy and Bear, so I will try Lawless, hopefully Bear won't lose his personality when the story is focused on him.

-There was a wild part of me that flourished when I was with King. I liked who I was with him. I knew who I was with him. That part, the part that couldn't be controlled, belonged to King, and no matter where I was or where he was or what either of us were doing, no one could ever take that from me.

-King was tanned and tattooed with a constant thunderstorm in his eyes. His muscular body looked as if it were built by wrestling with the devil himself.

-I wanted to touch him, taste him, smell him, drink him in. I wanted it all.

In book 2 Doe/Pup who is actually Ramie Price aka Ray is reunited with her family. She returns home but feels very lost. She finally felt like she was where she belonged & then had it all ripped away. She's hurt, angry, and sad. She doesn't trust her family & soon learns they care more about politics than her. She misses King, & is confused by his actions. King quickly realizes he made a huge mistake with Ray. He wants her back, but when he learns enemies are coming after him, he knows in order to keep her safe he can't bring her home yet.

As Ray is thrust back into her old life, she learns more about her past & slowly regains some memories. Unfortunately they aren't all good, & not everyone around her is what they seem. We get a lot of shockers, and action. T.M. Frazier takes you on an emotional crazy ride full of excitement. There were a lot of keep you on the edge of your seat moments, & a few teary eyed moments as well, & we can't forget the SEXY AS HELL King moments!!! The man is insatiable when it comes to "what's his" & will go to any lengths to protect & love his woman! :))

-"This thing here, between us? It's not the kind of thing that can just go away."

-You are mine.

I really adored King & loved this book even more than the first one. I liked the dual POV & the ending was F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S!!! King is just perfection in this book! He is all alpha as usual, but so tender & loving too. There isn't anything he wouldn't do for Ray. He loves her with everything he is. I also enjoyed the Preppy moments & have a huge love for Bear! Can't wait for his book! :D

5+++ Love The Fucking King Stars!!

 photo image.jpg1_zpssmbbnkop.jpg

Tyrant picks up where King left off. Doe going back to her real family and King being taken away for kidnapping. Only when King figures out the cop that is taking him in isn't really a cop but there to take him to ground do things not go as planned.

So you can say the book started with some action. King was not going down without a fight. He also was going to get what was his that he should of never let go and somebody was going to pay!

“You did not take what was mine and not expect to pay in blood, sweat, or pussy.”~King

I can't really say much about this book because I don't want to give anything away.

It was told in both King and Doe's POV. I was thankful for this! I think it makes a book so awesome when you get both the mc's POV:)

Even though Doe is back at home with her parents she still doesn't remember anything at first. Then little by little things start triggering her past to surface. Her parents were assholes! I felt bad for Tanner (Doe's childhood boyfriend and the father of her kid) at first then I just wanted him to be gone. The housekeeper was awesome too!

It doesn't take long for King to show up at Doe's house. Let's just say that all the anger Doe had for King using her as a pawn to get his daughter back didn't last very long. These two were explosive when they came together! They had me melting they were so fucking hot! Whew!!!

 photo UynvjkM3JtXr2_zpspj5yftlv.gif

This book had me on the edge of my seat. I was truly scared a few times to turn the page and read more.

 photo zr5kK2HDlG7oQ_zpsdkwuutjh.gif

I can say I had all kinds of emotions going on throughout the whole book. I fucking loved it!

The ending was so damn perfect that I think I dropped a happy tear or two. When that car pulled up at the end I might of screamed YAY!!!!

 photo tfhm8EiDMJjqM_zpsexslrixr.gif

!!!!!Spoiler Alert!!!!!

“I’m going to do everything to you but let you go,” he murmured against my ear. “That’s just not an option.” He pulled back slightly, holding my head in his hands, his thumbs digging into my temples, and pressed his lips against my forehead. “Never again,” he added.

I'm so sad that this is the end of King and Doe but I hope and pray we will get some more of them in Bears book.

YES!!! I said Bear was getting his own book!!
Lawless coming Dec 2015!

Bear played a big part in this book and his story will probably gut me! I can't wait!

Awesome job TM Frazier!!!

Behind the facade lurks a Tyrant

After reading both King and Tyrant, I'm changing my review name from Sassy to Bad Ass Mother Trucker. Bring on the dark and gritty...I can handle it. Murder, mayhem and torture...I can read it all. I cheered King on when he needed to teach some lessons. I was looking forward to seeing people dead, and if they did it screaming all the better.

KIDDING!!

This was definitely out of my comfort zone. I don't mind visiting the dark side from time to time, but I think I'm more suited to hearts and flowers. Definitely no hearts and flowers in this one. T.M. Frazier made me look at things differently. What I would normally find abhorrent, seemed justified and necessary. There was violence, torture, lies and deception. You didn't know who to trust and it all seemed like a mirage. The revelations kept coming and with each of Doe's memories that returned, I was even more unsure who was good and who was bad.

Both King and Doe make decisions that do not help them in their journey back to each other. I never doubted that they could do it, but I was concerned what they would be left with. There is only so much abuse a person can take before they shatter. I hated seeing them struggle being apart from each other and knew they would be stronger together.

I enjoyed both King and Tyrant, but King just a little more. I was disappointed that we don't get as much time seeing King and Doe together in Tyrant and felt that this one dragged a little because of that.

This was not a normal read for me but I'm glad I experienced it. I learnt that love comes in different packages and some have a little barbed wire ribbon to cut through first to get to the happy ever after.

5 Stars! What a ride!!

Love. I loved this book.. fast paced and gritty to the bone. From page one I was sucked back in to Doe(Ray/Pup) and King’s world and taken on a ride that I will never forget….

Page one picked up immediately where we left off at the end of King… there was a huge revelation thrown at us , and a betrayal that had all kinds of consequences. Fortunately, we were given answers pretty quick going into Tyrant on what was going on… and King was on a mission. A mission to make right what was wrong.. and revenge against those responsible.

It had only been minutes since I'd killed a man. But it had been a long timce since I'd taken pleasure in it.

Doe is back in her world.. but it’s a world she does not belong in any longer. She is now part of King’s world and that is where she wants to be. But circumstances have put her back home with a family and and ex she doesn’t remember and place she does not feel she belongs. She knows this was her life.. she does feel a connection with one thing from her past.. a big revelation we found out at the end of King, so she knows this life was real... But that doesn’t change the fact that she wants to be back with King.. but it’s more than her wanting it.. she needs him down to her soul. Maybe with King was where she was always supposed to be.. and this person she is now, with no memory of her past was not the “real” her. She starts thinking maybe that never was her… and King’s world just woke her up to who she was supposed to be… but there are a lot of things in play here back at home and she doesn’t know if she’ll ever be able to be happy again. She needs King, and she’ll do whatever it takes to get back to him.

It's just another fact. Just like the sky is blue. The grass is green. She's mine. Just is. Just Know it.

King….King has a list of people that are going to feel the power of his fury and he will get revenge… he’s also going to do whatever necessary to get Doe back. She belongs to him.. not just belongs with him.. SHE. IS. HIS. And no one.. NO ONE is going to keep her from him. He’ll go through whatever hell necessary to get revenge on those that have it coming, and get Doe back beside him, where she belongs.

The system could have me. I belonged to them, but they didn't fucking own me. They would NEVER fucking own me. She owned me. Heart and black fucking soul.

I love when a book can surprise me! Usually it’s pretty clear up front who you can trust and not trust.. and I was completely surprised with the revelation of how Doe came about losing her memory.. sure, I had reserved judgment on a few characters and I thought.. well, I kind of felt like something was not right.. but when the whole story came out. Wow. WOW. HOLY SHIT.

What an amazing story!!! King was a killer and a total bad ass….and his love for Pup was completely consuming. He’d move Heaven and earth for her, kill for her, die for her… And Doe’s love for King was just as strong. They came together under some pretty crazy circumstances.. but they belonged together. They went through hell and back several times and I totally enjoyed each trip with them.

So I hear Bear’s story is next in the series.. and I cannot wait! Bear was a great friend to King and Pup and he went through his own major hell in this book… a hell that I know is going to be really hard for him to come back from . He’s going to need someone really strong to help pull him out of the darkness he’s in, and I can’t wait to see who T.M. creates to help him find his way.

I love T.M.’s writing style.. she’s not afraid to push the envelope and make you uncomfortable….. chew you up and spit you out and you’ll thank her for it.

(1st time reading)
After reading King and it ending on a cliffhanger, I was beyond ready for the next book. I was completely blown away by emotion, I thought ... there is no way in hell T.M. Frazier can do the same with Tyrant. I should have known better than to doubt her brilliance because she is the fucking Queen when it comes to the dark and gritty!

(2nd time reading)
Again... This was fucking fantastic! I could read these books over and over. Tyrant starts exactly were King ended. T.M. Frazier draws you in with her captivating storytelling and her crazy world building. Tyrant was dark, dangerous, bloody, intense and oh so HOTT 😉!!! It was fast passed, action-packed, tons of twists and turn and I didn't see that shit coming. The plot was unpredictable and jaw-dropping! I absolutely love when a book manages to shock and awe me at the same time and this one sure as hell did! The FEELS Tyrant elicited in me were very high levels of sadness 😭, happiness 😁, anger 😠 and WTF just happened 😲!! Nothing is what it seems and evil is lurking in the wait. I'm not gonna divulge into all that shit though. Shhh... it's a secret and one you must find out because it will blow your mind! This world and its characters are like a drug and it's My addiction. I love the way Doe and King's story ended but it's not really over for them they'll be in the other books too just not the main focus. I love Doe and the strong confident young women she has become. Though you kinda have to be in order to handle these damn alphas. ♥Ray & King♥ are so perfect together and bring out the very best in one another but it was one hell of a rocky road. King is rough around the edges and one scary mofo but you can't help but fall in love with him and be all swoony an shit *siiigh. Plus the side characters that become the main characters eventually are everything I ever wanted and so so much more! Preppy is sorely missed but I sure do love his commentary. This is the book where Bear starts growing on me. Ugh... poor fucking guy 😭😭. This is a must read my friends ;) Okay I'm out, moving on to Lawless.

*Btw, the hottie on the cover is Andree Katic*

“There is one more thing I need you to know.” His lips hovered just above mine. “You need to know that I don’t give a fuck if your memory returns while I’m gone, cause it doesn’t change shit for us. But from this point out there is only one thing I need you to remember.”

“What’s that?” “This.” King gripped the back of my neck and pulled me into him, crashing his lips to mine in a kiss that had me trembling with both desire and fear.”

“In this world, there is very little I believe in, Pup. But I believe we belong together."
"You don't believe in God?" I asked.
"No, Pup. The only thing I have faith in, is you.”

“I was ready to finally acknowledge my complete lack of control over this larger than life connection we shared. I wasn’t giving in to him. It was a fight I couldn’t win.
It was a fight I didn’t even want to fight.”

Title: Tyrant
Series: King, #2
Author: T.M. Frazier
Release date: 16th August, 2015
Cliffhanger: No
HEA:

First things first, a massive round of applause to you T.M. Frazier! You really pulled it out the bag with Tyrant. I'll freely admit, whilst I enjoyed King, I wasn't completely sold as much as I would have hoped. This time around, I was sucked right in. It had the added barrage of action, tension and adrenaline I craved in the first book in the series, with the unique blend of romance and intimacy I've come to recognise in Doe and King's relationship.

Tyrant begins in the direct aftermath of the explosive revelations made in King and like Doe, we are trying to navigate through what is real and who can be trusted. They were plenty of light bulb moments reading this and even as pieces of the puzzle were beginning to fall in place, the author added new exciting elements to the story.

I didn't expect to love it as much as I did and I also didn't expect the amount of emotion that this book evoked. Sadness, anguish, revulsion, anger but also heartwarming hilarious moments that are so unique to couple such as Doe and King. They had such remarkable strength; in themselves, in each other and in their bond which undoubtedly got them through.

I'm all aboard the King train and its full steam ahead for Bear's story.
