I can't remember when I have enjoyed a book more! I found it was entertaining and inspiring, with a touch of the sweetest, most tender romance ever! By the end of the book, I felt like I not only knew the author's ancestors she bases this story around, I also felt like I cared about them and also that I wanted to emulate their strong convictions, their drive and their love for each other and their friends and family. Great job, Jeanie R Davis

When Carrie Drew meets Elder William Rappleye she is immediately taken with him and he with her. But, because of his sacred calling as a missionary, they have to conceal their feelings for each other until he finishes his mission.

Their love story is one of the most beautiful I have ever read. I don't want to give too much away, but their faith and selfless love are awe-inspiring. This book was so incredibly beautiful, more so because it is a true story!! I was gifted this book by one of my very best friends who knows that I love a good love story. It took me way too long to get around to it, but I am so glad I finally made the time! It was well worth it. For anyone who enjoys clean, proper romance with elements of faith, you will undoubtedly enjoy this bio-novel. The last thirty pages or so had me tearing up at regular intervals. But I'm kind of just a sap these days. Always leaking. :P Thank you, Sister Davis for sharing this incredible account of love and faith!! I am in awe of your family and their resilience through so many trials!

This book is based on my great grandparents and how they met and later grew to love each other. Lovingly written by my cousin and utilizing love letters they wrote to each other, this helped not only history come to life but helped me know my ancestors more.

I loved this book mostly because it was written about my ancestors and particularly about the grandma I was named after. But the author does a great job making "history" fun to read as well.
