One is the loneliest number, two’s company, but three is a dream come true.
The rules of Tequila Truth are simple. Shots are poured, a question asked, and only absolute truth can be the answer. Kylie has been playing the game with her roommates, Colt and Heath, since their freshmen year of college.
On his twenty-fifth birthday, Heath poses a “What is your ultimate sex fantasy?” While Colt and Heath’s fantasies are too hot for words, it’s Kylie’s sex dream that hits a little too close to home for all of them. Her wish? A ménage a trois with two men, complete with bondage and a bit of spanking for good measure.
Colt and Heath are only too willing to make Kylie’s fantasies come true and they make a proposal—one no-holds-barred, sexed-up weekend where nothing is off the menu. The only question is, come Monday, will their platonic relationship survive the passion?

Cute story. All the characters were very likable and I liked the fact that all had a connection before they got jiggy with it. The only problem I had with the story was when the girl said she thought of one of the guys as a brother...(forgive me for being crude) since when is it ok to fuck your brother? Never, that's when. Otherwise good story.
This was a good novella- short, sweet, to the point.
The FMC was able to explore and experience all her fantasies and desires with her two friends (and roommates).
I liked the dynamic between them, it was healthy and they communicated. I did skim a bit because it got kinda repetitive, but overall it was good and steamy.
I feel bad for rating this 3 stars. I mean it wasn't bad. The best friends to lovers theme was the baseline, with the two guys deciding to fulfill the girl with a weekend of no bars sex. How could it go wrong?
This is mostly a PWP (porn without plot) type of book, with a sexy police officer, a naughty architect, and the teacher heroine, who happen to share a platonic roommate relationship for 8 years. But after a game of Tequila Truth, the three are suffering from lust for each other. (no guy on guy action, sorry, ya'll). Kylie gets herself in a sticky situation with a cruel bf, and the guys decide that they are the ones who should give her what she wants in the bedroom.
The problem wasn't any of the characters. It would have been nice if any of them showed more hesitation to their arrangements. For example, the guys propose to marry Kylie and she appears to be disturbed with the idea for a whole 2 seconds before they jump each other's bones, again.
The other problem was the sex scenes. I don't think they were...sensual enough. It was lacking the extra umph that makes or breaks the scene. The shower scene felt more pornographic than erotic, if that makes any sense.
Anyway, it was an ok read. I liked it mainly because of the theme and the guys are really hilarious - which I go for funny even in my erotica.
The set up of this story was a definite fantasy for me. A woman living with her two guy best friends who decide to take their relationship to the next level... then the next level...and then the next level again.
The idea was to have a weekend of hot, nasty sex to fulfill all their fantasies. And the journey was hot. Short but hot.
The guys were dominant, yet respectful and they also had skills. The three of them are finely in tuned in the bedroom but the guys decide they want more than just a weekend and set a goal of convincing their girl that she would want the same....It's damn hot!
Yum...YUM. Seriously, this just falls under every girl's must-have: two best friends and you all fall in hot sex and love. Delish combos served fresh and hot.
Favorite quote:
Well, that’s certainly the worst proposal I’ve ever heard. I’m embarrassed my name was even linked to it.”
This story was written in a very free-flowing style. This book exceeded my expectations. The story line was good and the sex scenes were phenomenal - both passionate and emotional. The scenes were not over erotic - there was a good balance of emotion and detail. The author did a great job of building a solid foundation of friendship. Then extending it into a sexual relationship built on that foundation. I have added this author to my watch list. The relationships in this book are m/f/m and m/f - no m/m.

I really liked this one, loved how their annually tradition slightly changed things for these 3 friends. Kylie realized that maybe what she wanted wasn't so out there, while Colt and Heath realized their roommate wasn't as innocent as she looked. I hated what spurred the boys to action, things could have gone really bad for Kylie.
I really liked how Colt and Heath talked things over before jumping into a menage thing. It was interesting how this was supposed to be a no holds barred weekend for them all, but instead of the girl wanting to change things it was the boys who realized that the one weekend would not be enough. Being boys, they guys didn't handle their revelation the best, good thing Kylie was there to bring things full circle for them all.
Boring! I like the ménage trope in general, but wow is this book a snore fest. There is sex, but no heat. It falls flat. Blah blah they did it big whoop. I wasn’t invested in the characters and didn’t care what happened to them. The story was predictable and the female character, Ms. Forgetable, is dramatic.
I barely finished this book. I started skipping descriptions. I don’t need a reason why someone has a larger bathroom than other bathrooms in the same house. Spare me. Give me more storyline, grr. Really had to force myself to finish this.
This book would be good as a book to intro someone into the ménage trope, mfm, but Lord steer clear if you are a seasoned ménage reader.
I’ve now read Book 1 and 2 or this series and will not torture myself with anymore of it.
- 3 stars - this was totally MFM, not MMF. At one point the guys explicitly balk at the thought of touching each other. - I think I’ve become desensitized lol, because for some reason I felt like it wasn’t very… clearly written during the DP scene???? Like I thought it was kinda vague and therefore not that hot. Idk. I think I’m just used to more explicit language. I mean it’s a DP scene for Christ’s sake, shouldn’t I get the full picture and like aaaaallllll the details? - plot was bad, as expected - writing was not great but better than some - not sure if I would read this author again. Maybe would give her one more try. ❌ feels

This was a sweet, very quick read. Steamy. Three long-time friends realizing they’re in love after a bit of liquid encouragement leads to a bit of truth and a lot of naughty fun.
I enjoyed this story after reading a couple darker, heavier books, which is probably why I’m giving it 4-stars instead of 3. Because while this little table did its job of lightening things for me, it’s a bit lacking in making me feel. More telling than showing, and, probably because of the length a lot of interesting aspects got glossed over.
Still, for what it was, it was definitely a cute story.
These best friends sure know what each other is about. Love that they do the "hard" part of relationships. They have chemistry so so Hot you will think the house is on fire. Mari Carr always writes a story that you just fall into. I fell so deep that it felt like it was real! Love that they are so different that they bring out the best in each other. Apparently the saying is true: There is strength in numbers. Wow!
This book was okay but I was disappointed that almost the entire book revolved around only the three main characters with a brief introduction to one other person. It left the remaining three characters and a lot of sex scenes that followed. It could easily have been expanded into a more well-rounded book by expanding into just a few more characters and a little more personal details into their personal lives.
Loved this story about Kylie, Heath and Colt!! The three have been roommates for years and best friends as well. There was always an attraction, but they never acted on it. Until a birthday and some Tequila truth. It takes 6 more months and an incident to shake them up and try something. Love them all together. Great book!!
This was a very interesting read. The author knows how to keep your interest and I couldn’t put the book down. You have three friends who live together since college two men and a woman. They finally get together, all three of them and find that they love each other. Awesome book!!
Quick read that's fun, entertaining and full of spice. 5/5 for spice! With only a little over 100 pages this book heats up quick and stays H-O-T! Definitely a cute spicy story about two hunky roommates and a girl who's one of the guys until they realize she isn't! Loved their chemistry and light hearted banter
I absolutely love this book! Mari Carr definitely knows how to write and it shows! The bedroom scenes were absolutely phenomenal and steamy and had me wanting more! Definitely had me wanting my own ménage!!!
I seriously lost it for the safe word. I was laughing so hard I was crying. I didn’t see that coming. Not that the safe word is a funny thing, but the fact that it was the first thing she thought of to use when she was scared because she was teaching the kids about it at school. 😂
