The Other Man #2

The Only Man

Rate this book
There is nothing I can do.
The world keeps turning, the engines keep running, but I am stuck in a downward spiral with no one left to pull me out.
I’m an idiot, a liar, a disgrace and whatever else you want to call me.
Go ahead.
It’s nothing I haven’t told myself a thousand times over. You’re completely right.

It doesn’t change the outcome though and I have to live with that for the rest of my life. There is no light at the end of the tunnel for me, no chance at redemption. I don’t deserve it, but I still want to carve out my little slice of happiness from the mess I created.

I’m asking you to believe me.
I’m asking them to forgive me.
I’m asking him to save me.

But maybe I’m asking just a little too much.

Yeah, this will REALLY not appeal to some readers. Heed the tags & warnings. has consequences. This installment is a bit OTT but damned if I can explain why I am enthralled by the the story. I guess maybe I just want to see how it all ends?

No telling when I'll get to that, though as there's a weird note at the Amazon purchasing page about the source file or something...

This was book 2 in " The Other Man" series. This book picks up a few weeks after Carlie falls off the fire escape she is in a coma but Blake feels guilty because they are divorced. Blake has also been hiding at his mother's house away from Zach. I really liked Zach he was hot sexy kind and patient because Blake had a problem staying and facing his problems. I didn't like Carlie in the first book and I really didn't like her in this one she was blackmailing Blake and Zach about their relationship she wanted Blake back. Zach breaks up with Blake because he lied about where he was and who was calling him. In this book we also learned more about Blake's mother and Blake met his father. When Zach ask Blake to meet him at a seedy bar it was funny Blake felt like he was in a meat market he was hit on by some sleazy dudes and the sex that they had in the alley was hot. This was a good read this book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series when the author decides to release it.

I liked this story a lot but it wasn't as good as the first one. I really liked Zach in book one but he was a bit of an ass in this one. I don't mind if one of the characters in a book can be insensitive or a jerk. But when the character seems to change pretty big from book one to book 2 I can't stand it. I especially don't like any kind of domestic violence, I don't care if it 2 guys, 2 girls or a guy and girl. IT'S UNACCEPTABLE!

The editing was even worse in this book than in book 1 which was ridiculous.

Overall the story itself was really good, I didn't love it but it was entertaining until the end.

I think I enjoyed this book slightly better than the first. It's a lot more antsy with lots of twists but just as hot as the first book.
It's carries on from where we left the first book on that incredible cliffhanger- just glad the second book was already out ! This book follows Blake and Zach into the next phase of their lives but it's not plain sailing, well it wouldn't be !!!!
I'm so glad I decided to read this series I've really enjoyed the journey so far and can't wait to hear Zach take on things in the next book. I've also found an author I really want to read more from !

4.5 amazing stars!
Starting straight back off where book 1 leaves us we jump right back into the drama that is Blake Zach and Carlie and their lives.
As much hotness as book 1 but with more angsty emotions and heart warming moments.
Carlie proves yet again what a vile lady she is by trying her best to cause trouble for this perfect pair but will they let her or will they see right through the niceness?
Absolutely love these guys together.. getting to see them grow together as a couple is beautiful and soul destroying all in one go.
Look forward to reading Zachs side of the story when it comes out in a few weeks 😁

3.5 — URGH! Blake was infuriating!!!

The only reason I couldn’t rate higher was because I almost couldn’t handle Blake’s character. I just didn’t understand him and he made reading their story super stressful because of his CONTINUED bad decision making. It’s like don’t you want this relationship? Well why do you keep screwing it up?! ARGHHH!!! I just literally wanted to scream at him! BUT as we got to the climax of the the story and things started to unfold I began to see why and how all of this was able to happen. Aside from tremendous frustration the book is filled with palpable chemistry and passion! I mean these men are super HOT together so that makes up for a lot.

I think If anything I loved this story more than the first.
Blake doesn't make life easy for himself.
Constant ups and downs and Zach finds himself questioning their relationship all the time.
It's hot and steamy and I love these boys so much!

estuvo bien, pero Blake me parecio mas inmaduro en este libro, Zach pudo haber tenido sus fallas tambien pero estaba seguro de lo que queria, si puede ser que Blake hasta ahora acepta esa parte de el pero igual muy inmaduro,

I've been waiting for this a couple of months now after reading The Other Man and I now I've read it I am lost again! There is just something about Blake and Zach that makes you love them both - maybe it's the hot MM sex ;) Granted there wasn't as much in this book as it was mostly about Blake & Zach's rocky relationship after the cliffy from book 1, but I didn't mind! I'm glad the author didn't put it in just for the sake of it as I think it would have taken away from the emotion of the story.

I was actually feeling sorry for one of the characters at the beginning after hating them in The Other Man, but then I started seeing their true colours again and I was shouting at Blake to see it too!

Blake & Zach have their troubles in this one and at points I thought they weren't going to make it and just wanted to bang their heads together! They really are the perfect couple, soul mates.

I'm glad we got to meet more of Blake's mum in this one too, she is fab! And there is a really cute new addition to the story too ;)

Once again another fab 5* read from D Breeze, and I need more of my men!

I have been dying to get my hands on this book since I finished The Other Man. I haven't read a lot of M/M books but this series has definitely been a favourite!

This story was the continuation of Blake and Zach's journey. They didn't get together in the best way in The Other Man and their journey through their relationship has been a rocky one.

I loved both characters in the first book, they both stole a piece of my heart. In this book I was so frustrated with both of them but the way I felt for the characters never diminished! Blake could have done with a real slap a few times but he was still a loveable git.

The sex scenes although the book wasn't chock full of them were scorching hot in my opinion, the chemistry between Blake and Zach leaped off the pages and left me in need of a cold shower!

Danielle has brought these characters to life, I felt every emotion Blake and Zach felt throughout this book.

This has been a series that has sucked me in and kept me captivated throughout. I have ignored everything and everyone since I received this book earlier and finished it in one sitting!

Well number 2 did not disappoint. This is everything you hate to love. It's frustrating, dramatic, impulsive, explosive, careless, and infuriating all wrapped up in a sexy package that draws you in before you can realize why. I mean as I said about the first book it has so many things going on that I want to hate it but I can't put it down.
This one picks up where the first left off Blake is struggling still and him and Zach are on the verge trying to survive their relationship . Throw in the ex wife drama and you have disaster just waiting to happen. This book is heart wrenching in parts and completely annoying in others. There are parts of this book where you just want to beat the shit out of Blake for being such a freaking idiot, but I guess the balance between frustration and being completely taken with the couples' love for each other is what propels the book forward for me. The book is hot as was the first but this one hits home more with the underlying self discovery of Blake. Not a perfect book but resonates with me so 4 enthusiastic stars for all the things it made me feel while reading it.

JUST WOW... I literally could not put this book down. It's part two of D. Breeze's The Other Man series. And Once again may I stress this series is unlike the normal M/M books out there. The first one (The Other Man) I thought was absolutely awesome. But this, goes beyond that. I laughed, cried, screamed and sighed as I read page after page. At times I wanted to Just reach in and shake Blake and Zach, other times I just wanted to hug and kiss away their pain.

What do you do when you have so much guilt that it ruins everything that's good in your life. As that person's soulmate how do you get through to them before they self-destruct or worse yet push you totally out of your life or the bottom falls out of everything?

I don't do spoilers or I could write paragraph after paragraph on the events in this book. Instead I will simply tell you that this is a MUST READ (especially if you read book one) And if you haven't read The Other Man.. OMG, you must get it, read it and then read The Only Man. This is a MUST READ, 2 THUMBS UP series. Well Done Ms. Breeze!

I was given this ARC for an honest review.

What to say about this book? Well here's a few words I would use, irritating, frustrating, heart clenching, addictive and brilliant.
You can't help but want to reach into the book and get involved with the characters. What I mean by that is tell them there irritating my and slap some sense into them :)
The books starts a few weeks after the last and Carlie is in a coma. Blake feeling guilty about it all basically runs away again. Being with his mum has helped resolve some family issues but he needs to sort his love life out. Him and Zach have got a rocky road in front of them. Alot of issues in there relationship come to light and they have to fight to keep each other. Doesn't help when the past comes back to mess with them AGAIN!!!
I got to admit I got a bit annoyed with Blake a bit in this book. He had right intentions but did things wrong and needed to open his eyes more. He manned up in the end and I  felt a bit proud of him.
Zach and Blake are such a great couple and I can't wait to read more of there story.

I gave this book 5 stars!

Wow! What another great book from Ms. Breeze. This book leaves off where book 1 ends. If you thought book one held twist, turns, and surprises then this book will blow your mind. Blake and Zack have been through Hell and Carlie well that's a whole another story. The chemistry between Blake and Zack are off the charts. One of the best M/M books. This book will definitely be on my top 5 for the year. The storyline and characters has have realism feel to them. The story is beautifully written and I can't wait to read more from Zack's point of view and her new series Let It Burn. We are going to see these other Firefighters!!!

Well after reading the first book i went out and got this one straight away. i read in a few hours thats just how good it was.

Unlike the first book this one had me on a emotional rollercoaster. The story just kept getting more intense.
I still hate Carlie and i actually wanted to reach through my kindle and bitch slap her.

I absolutely love Zach and i felt his pain all the way through the book.

man these books have had control of my life for the last two days, i actually don't know what I'm gonna do now. lol

I absolutely loved this !!
As much as i loved book one, i loved this one slightly more. I loved that Blake wanted to try and do the right thing, but, just like in reality, doing the right thing can also be the wrong thing to do. As much as i felt sorry for Carlie, with what she's gone through, i really did hate her for a while, especially with what she put Blake and Zach through. I also loved who after all the drama we were given some light hearted humour courtesy of Blake's mum.
Absolutely brilliant and just as hot as book one was too !!

I love Blake and Zach

I love a good love story, i have to admit that Blake good intentions and good heart make me crazy sometimes and Zach view of life and general knowledge was so mature and wise. They're both good people learning to accept the past and staring from cero in a new relationship. But they are soulmates and there hearts recognize each other..is beautiful.. Smart, profound and heartwarming. They grow together for a happily ever after.

Another great book. At times I was pissed, how can soul mates have so many issues with the truth. I wanted to slap the both of them at times. Blake is naive and so gullible he needed to be punched. I just loved it again. I really do not want to wait for next book. Zach's point of view may freak me out. Lol

ANOTHER FAB BOOK FROM D, AFTER READING THE CLIFFHANGER FROM THE PREVIOUS BOOK THIS BOOK KEEPS YOU GUESSING AS TO WHAT IS GOING TO HAPPEN. I LOVE THE TWIST AT THE END AND LOVE HAPPY ENDINGS. MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER HAS TO BE BLAKE'S MOTHER, SHE IS VERY WITTY AND YOUNG AT HEART.

I love happy endings...

I'm so glad everything worked out for Blake and Zachary. I as really worried with the way the story ended in the Other Man. And poor Carlie. Oh well....in the end it all works out. Thank goodness! A good ride and read.

This wasn't quite as good as the first part of the series. There was more melodrama, which i do often like, but it was also not very well plotted.

Blake and Zack were still hot together and I did enjoy the ending, but this installment felt altogether rushed. Many typos and the like as well.
