★★★★! Hitched: Volume 1 of 3. In order to keep their inheritance Noah & Olivia must comply with parents devious plan to marry them off – to each other!

“Nine inches may actually be a conservative estimate of what it might look like hard. He must destroy men’s egos every time he walks into a locker room. And I don’t even want to think about what he destroys with women…”

Books in Imperfect Love trilogy should be read in order:
Book 1: Hitched: Vol One
Book 2: Hitched: Vol Two
Book 3: Hitched: Vol Three

Hitched: Volume One opens up to childhood friends heir and CEO-in-waiting Noah Tate and heiress and co-CEO-in-waiting Olivia Cane learning of some shocking and annoying stipulations, set forth by their own parents, in regards to:

The future of their empire.

Both schooled to one day take over they have known each other all their lives, even had a brief puppy-love fling in their teens. But nothing could have prepared them for this development:

Get married to each other or lose the company.

Noah walks on egg-shells around an unpredictable and not-too-happy to have her romantic dreams of marrying the love of her life thoroughly crushed by their impending marriage. But he is soon faced with an even bigger when he reads the fine print and discovers that:

They must also produce an heir.

Story goes on to follow them in the events that follow with Noah trying to court Olivia and them fighting sexual urges – especially after she discovers his 9-inch cock - and occasionally giving into temptation by making out and dry humping each other in the most inappropriate public settings

Eight words to describe Noah Tate:Relaxed, jaded, immature, non-committal, overly optimistic, horny, horny and well-endowed.

Seven words to describe Olivia Cane: Romantic, stubborn, idealistic, smart, naïve, private and romantic.

Hitched: Volume One, told from dual POVs, is the opening to a 3-part serial offering a great mixture of fun bantering, sexual tension galore, denial, some more denial mixed with unrecognized feelings, as Noah and Olivia try to absorb and cope with their parents devious plan to through them together in holy uh I mean contracted matrimony. Up next is Hitched: Volume Two for the continuation of their story.

A fun, sexy, fast paced read!

Katerina's Heart vs Katerina's Brain, Episode 1

Narrator: It was 2 am and Brain was very tired. But Heart had other ideas.

Brain: I'm tired, I want to sleep.
Heart: Stop being a ninny, just one more chapter!
Brain: We both know what one more chapter means.
Heart: So what? It's a short book, we'll finish it soon enough!
Brain:*mumbles unintelligibly* Is the marriage clause even legal?
Heart: It is for the story to proceed, don't lawyer me now!
Brain: I'm just saying, they could avoid all the trouble if they hired a competent lawyer.
Heart: *ignores Brain* I love how this story makes me feel! I'm so giddy!
Brain: But it's nothing original! A forced relationship and enemies-to-lovers are two themes that've been explored many times!
Heart: It's not just the concept, the execution matters too! Are you always this grumpy?
Brain: Only when I want to sleep. I can't believe they actually proceed with the plan!
Heart: Do you mean that if Dad forced you to marry Henry Cavill you'd say no?

Brain: ...
Heart: That's what I thought!
Brain: I do the thinking here, you're obviously influenced by the smoking tension and the dirty talking and the drool-inducing make-out sessions between Noah and Olivia!
Heart:
Brain: Why do I even bother?
Heart: Come on, we didn't want something deep and painful, just a light and fun romance! The fact that Noah can reduce me into a puddle of goo is a bonus!
Brain: Bonus? BONUS? He's another book boyfriend (well, husband in this case) that will make it impossible to fall in love with a normal guy in real life!
Heart: I don't want normal, I want Noah! Besides, are guys in real life as gifted as Noah?
Brain: I'm not going to dignify that with an answer.
Heart:
Brain: ...

Narrator: Needless to say, Katerina didn't sleep that night.

My heart sinks a little. No matter how well we’re getting along, I’m not foolish enough to think I could fill in for her soul mate. Unless…I swallow as a wave of nerves hits. Holy freaking matrimony. Am I ready for that?

HITCHED is the new romantic comedy series by Kendall Ryan. Three novellas will lay out the story of our Hero and Heroine, that are forced to marry each other to save and keep ownership of their fathers' advertising empire. We get a devilishly handsome and cocky Hero, who can charm the panties off of just about any woman. And a beautiful and headstrong Heroine, who is all business with little to no time to appreciate the finer things in life. Both have known each other since they were teenagers and there has been no love lost between them. This is a formula that guarantees that we’re in store for an enjoyable and steamy read!!!

Noah Tate and Olivia Cane are both heirs to inherit Tate & Cane Enterprises. They have recently learned that Noah’s deceased father left a stipulation in his will, that the two must marry in order to take on full ownership of the corporation or it will be divided amongst the board members. Noah is willing to do whatever it takes to keep the family business, it also helps that he’s always had a little thing for Olivia. Olivia, on the other hand, is not the least bit thrilled with the situation. Underneath her cool exterior, beats the heart of a hopeless romantic, who has had dreams of being swept off her feet and marrying her one true love, so this contractual relationship does not sit well with her. Even though she has harbored a little crush on Noah since her teenaged years, she still can’t overlook the fact that Noah is a known player who keeps score of how many women he’s taken to bed. Olivia isn’t willing to be just another notch on his belt.

She agrees to go through with the marriage only if the two spend some time together and Noah must prove to her that there is compatibility between them. Her father buys them a beautiful penthouse where they end up living in to get better acquainted. The chemistry between these two the more time they spend together is pretty undeniable. I found myself getting more than a little anxious for the schmexy to commence!!

During their time together, they start to see bits of each other’s personalities that has them questioning whether or not true feelings are starting to develop between them. Olivia sees that Noah isn’t just an immature player and that he really does have a passion for their business and truly cares for their employees. Noah realizes that there is a sweet fragility to Olivia. Her no nonsense exterior is just a façade she hides behind to protect her heart.

We get a bit of a cliffy by the time we get to the end of Volume One, but not to worry, each installment comes out every two weeks!! Not too long of a wait!!

HITCHED goes live tomorrow!!! Make sure you one-click!

Hitched is Kendall Ryan doing what Kendall Ryan does best. Sweet, sexy, short, and fun. The blurb for this one completely drew me in.
Marry the girl I’ve had a crush on my whole life? Check.

Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check.

Produce an heir… Wait, what?

Noah Tate and Olivia Cane’s fathers have been business partners and friends for many years. Noah and Olivia have known each other most of their entire lives. It’s pretty apparent that Noah has always carried a torch for Olivia. Sure, he’s a bit of a player now, and she’s more of the serious type, but you can tell that he has feelings for her.

When Noah’s father dies, his will stipulates that to take over the company with Olivia and become co-CEO’s they have to get married. It takes a while to convince Olivia this is a good idea. Olivia is immune to Noah’s charms, or so it seems. He finally does convince her of marriage. Living together. Maybe giving what they have a go. But an heir… that wasn’t anything Olivia was aware of and apparently, it’s also part of the clause.

Olivia is one of those serious headstrong girls. You would think she is content being alone, seeing as work is always her priority, but deep down, she wants to be in love. It’s a dream of hers, her deepest desire. Which is why marrying Noah is so hard for her to do. She wants a husband who loves her deeply and finds her irresistible. Little does she know, she may get that with Noah. It’s plain to see that Noah has feelings for Olivia. He’s attracted to her, but he genuinely cares about her as well. Noah isn’t just a man-whore. He’s actually a kind person and a good guy. I liked Olivia and Noah both and I’m rooting for them as a couple!

Hitched was a read that kept me entertained and made me laugh. It had just enough steam to give it that Kendall Ryan flare, but left me desperately wanting for more at the same time. After that ending, I’m happy to see that the next book will be coming out soon! I’m excited to read volume 2 and see what happens with Noah and Olivia.

Noah and Olivia find themselves in a tough situation. They grew up together with their fathers as founding business partners. In order to keep the business that they both love under their care and control, they must meet the condition of marriage to one another. While Noah is not all that appalled by the idea of marrying his dream girl, Olivia is of another opinion. It seems that Noah treated their possibly budding relationship as teens in a manner that left her mending a broken heart. He has since then built up a reputation for being promiscuous, which she feels is not conductive to a good marriage. This first part details them coming to terms with the condition and beginning to know each other again. It seems that there is much more to Noah than meets the eye and the way the story is told, he definitely starts to earn Olivia's trust but ours as well. I found the writing and characters to be cute and charming. I was instantly captivated by the narrative voice and found myself smiling as little details shaped the personalities of our main characters. I find the waiting component of serials to be frustrating but I can't find myself regretting picking up this little gem. In fact, I am anxiously awaiting the next as we are left with a cliffy that needs some explaining stat. Safety: No OW/OM/Sharing, but H does have quite the past and h's ex enters the picture in a non-romantic manner. No rape/abuse.

Thanks to a certain stipulation in Noah Tate's father's will, he and Olivia Cane, the daughter of his father's business partner and good friend, will have to get hitched to gain access to their shares and take over their family's company, Tate & Cane Enterprises.

Noah's down for it. Growing up, he's always had a crush on Olivia; which turned into lust when they're older. The thing is, Olivia pretty much hates his guts. How can he convince her to marry him? Oh, there's another stipulation in the will? They have to put a bun in her oven in 90 days following the wedding? Good luck with that.

I freaking love marriage of convenience tropes! I actually started reading this serial the moment the first volume came out, but decided to wait until the last volume was out to finish it. Best decision ever! I would have died (I wouldn't have, but you get my point haha) if I ended up reading this and seeing the ending. Finished reading all three books in one sitting.

Obviously, the 'marrying someone for an inheritance/for work' isn't the most unique plot line. I've actually read a different serial with an almost identical plot. What makes this different for me is the character dynamic. In this dual POV series, we can obviously see that the two are physically attracted to each other. Noah also admires Olivia's resilience. Olivia, however, is not a fan of Noah's manwhore reputations, and it makes her weary of him and his intentions.

Olivia doesn't want to give up on the company but doesn't want to give in just like that, so before she agrees to the whole arranged marriage business, she needs to make sure that she and Noah will work together. Trial dating or nothing.

Soon, dating will not be the only thing they're going to try. Noah's a perpetually horny man, and he's obviously attracted to Olivia. He knows she's affected; he's just waiting for the right time to strike.

Olivia and Noah's work rapport actually reminds me of my mom and dad's. They met at their work place, and one of the pair is quite diligent and straight-laced while the other is more carefree but as efficient as the other. They're still happily married after 26 years of marriage, so it's pretty safe to say Olivia and Noah have a long time ahead of them.

The ending's a cliffhanger, and although it wasn't that surprising, I really want to know what Olivia was thinking when she did what she did. And poor Noah!

The whole "we have to get married to save the company" concept is a little unrealistic to me. There were lots of cheesy dialogue, and the characters were a bit boring and unoriginal. But surprisingly, I find myself still curious to know what happens next.

Noah is the typical millionaire playboy who's slept with every female in the city but also has a soft side for our leading lady. His character was dull and his personality had nothing special going on that distinguished him from the rest of the Alpha males in the literary world. He seems more immature to me if anything compared to other Alpha males. I've had my fair share of books with playboys but he's probably one of the most dullest and unoriginal.

Olivia was tolerable. She's the typical workaholic female that has no time for sex and/or relationships. She started off strong and independent but went downhill as the story progressed.

Hitched was far from the best story I've ever read but it's enjoyable enough to keep me interested. I'll probably give Volume Two a quick read when I feel like it. It's not exactly at the top of my highly anticipated books to read ASAP.

Eye-catching cover and extraordinary blurb and it was enough for me to stop and read Hitched. And I'm not disappointed. Great introduction to the new serial romance.

About the plot: Olivia and Noah grew up together as kids, but as adults they are just acquaintance. Their parents have been friends for years and they run the Tate & Cane company together. When Noah's father dies and Olivia's dad falls on health, they must step out and take over the family business as co-CEOs. But this can not happen until the conditions of the father will are fulfilled. And they are a slightly old-fashioned. They need to get married and procreate an heir to fully manage the business. The matter is so urgent, because in recent years the company has barely draws and there is risk of sale and employee layoffs, and they do not want to let that happen.

Olivia is very independent, doesn't like to have no control over her decisions and she is afraid of changes. She thinks that Noah is just a menwhore and doesn't take anything seriously. She is very skeptical and tense. Noah is the complete opposite. For him, it's kinda like a challenge, he always wanted her, and doesn't mind to tie up with her.

But in the current situation there is no time to look for other solutions. Olivia's goal is to spent time together, get to know each other better and be friends. Noah wants more than friendship and tries to win her trust and convince her to try more. This situation brings them closer together, but is it enough?

Final thoughts: It's definitely not typical friends to lovers romance. This story is very real and all the feelings are very slowly built up. It's a bit clinical because everything is arranged. Not much romantic love. No insta-love and HEA immediately, it is only the beginning of its growing. But you want to know what will happen next, how they cope in this situation and what else will happen. How their feelings will grow and whether it will be possible to find love in the arranged marriage.

Very entertaining was their banter and attempts to get to know better. I like that outside of his arrogant and immature behavior, he can be affectionate and understanding. You want to cheer for them and witness the boom that will happens when they finally give up to this.

My only complaint is that it felt as the story was a little bit dragged, because it not only focuses on these two, but also quite a lot involve in matters of the company and its rescue. I would have preferred more focuse on their connection and relationship, but everything is in front of us. I think I'm a little impatient.

This part ends with a big cliffhanger, but do not worry this is a serial romance and part 2 comes already on July 19. Can't wait to get my hands on it. It promise to be better and better.

4 From Fake To Maybe Real Stars
* * * * Spoiler Free and FREE!
Oh, this is the season of fun, sexy serials. Hitched by Kendall Ryan has everything for a first part installment. It has incredibly smart players; the children of the founding partners of a large billion dollar company. The son and daughter have known each other over the years and each has been groomed by their respective fathers to fill their shoes when they were ready to step down.

Unfortunately, life doesn't play fair. Noah's dad died, the business hit a rocky patch and now to make things more difficult, Olivia's dad has been stricken with a fast acting cancer. With all of these elements, it has been brought to the attention of Noah and Olivia the conditions of Noah's father's will which mirrors Olivia's dad's too....

These two must marry in order to save this company their parents tolled over for so many years... if they don't, then the board will sell it to the companies sniffing around waiting for Olivia's dad to pass.

So to be clear- these two must marry to keep the company "in the family" and save it from being broken up.
Shouldn't be too hard... Noah is charming and Olivia is lovely...both are smart and care about the company...so a fake, for convenience marriage could be done....

Except there are a couple of hiccups...

Olivia doesn't trust her feelings for Noah as far as she can throw him...
Noah has deep feelings for Olivia but hasn't realized yet they aren't stemming from a challenge or lust...
And then there is a Heir Clause neither of them learn about until everything is in motion...

Kendall Ryan has set us up with a snappy story, delicious banter, heartfelt passages and a cliffy to make the readers start counting the days until Hitched 2comes. Is it July 19th 2016 yet???

This is the second Kendall Ryan book I’ve read and not been fond of, so perhaps her writing style is just not for me. This story is cute albeit unlikely, but that didn’t put me off. What got to me is how cock-centric the writing is.

The two main characters already know each other. The hero is hot for the heroine. In chapter one, Olivia walks into the room and when Noah’s sees her, what’s his first reaction?
The idea of her on her knees, lips parted, taking my cock deep down her throat, begging for more even as she gags on my impressive length is more than just a sexual turn on. It's practically a life goal.
Where’s the romance?

The couple goes on their first “date” and he tries to impress her by telling her he has a 9” cock. Classy.

I was already on the verge of waving the white flag when I found out this is book one in a cliffhanger trilogy. Peace, out.

I can go ahead and tell you now I am going to love this series, it has the making to be an absolute favorite. First, we have an arranged marriage - sort of and they have to produce an heir. Sorry to go all Western Civ on you, but boy oh boy do I love this concept!

This is volume one in the series and it is just to enough to get you hooked and have you begging for more. We meet Olivia and Noah, the heirs to a billion dollar company. Noah’s father has recently died and Olivia’s has terminal cancer. In order to maintain control of the company they have to marry and run the company together. Another twist, the company isn't doing well right now, so it's more than maintaining their wealth saving the company will save thousands of jobs.

This first installment had me laughing out loud and falling in love. I loved the slow burn and sexual tension between these two. I loved how I can already see how perfect they will be for each other. This series has the making of being an absolute favorite for me. I love Kendall Ryan and this is why, I love how she gives us these fun, flirty, sexy stories, but beneath them all there is more. Warning, this book will have you beginning for more. The good news, no great news, the sequel has a set release day and is coming soon!!

Cane & Tate!

The following ratings are out of 5:
Narration: 🎧🎧🎧🎧🎧
Romance: 🖤💜🤎💚💛
Heat/Steam: 🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📙📕📗📘
World building: 🌎🌏🌍🌍🌏
Character development: 😍😕🙃☺️🤩

The heroine: Olivia Cane - since she was young she has worked for Tate & Cane, the company her father and Noah’s father built. She wants to bring the company back to its former glory and success.

The Hero(es): Noah Tate - he also works for Tate & Cane. When his father dies he finds out there is a clause in his will that decrees Noah and Olivia will inherit the company only if they marry and produce an heir within a year.

The story: Noah and Olivia grew up together since their fathers were in business together. They both lost their mothers when they were young and were friends. However, one night when Olivia offers herself to Noah, he turns her down and she has hated him ever since.

After the death of Noah’s father, both Noah and Olivia realize they have to work together and agree to the terms of the will in order to save the company since it has not been doing well due to a downturn in the economy. They both care for the thousands of employees that work for Tate and Cane and don’t want to see it being bought out from under them because whomever buys it most likely will not care enough to keep the employees and would replace them with their own.

As Noah and Olivia move in to the New York apartment Olivia’s father buys for them and get ready to go through with the wedding, they find the old attraction that they had for each other taking hold again and each of them find that they could work together to make everything work out. Though this does end in a cliffhanger so everything doesn’t work out as smoothly as they had hoped.

As for the Narration, the book is told in dual POV and the narrators do a great job.

Urgh couldn't continue past chapter 8 because of ALL THE REFERENCES TO THE H'S SEXUAL ENCOUNTERS with absolutely no remorse

Thanks but I don’t need a blow-by-blow (pun intended) of his sexcapades with other women

Many of which the h was also aware of but didn't even question

Plus who goes around pulling out their dicks just to show off?!

Nine inch cock? Check! Hot sexual tension and banter? Check! Marry his childhood crush? Check! Everything should be smooth sailing? Umm...that’s debatable. Getting hitched would solve all Noah and Olivia’s problem? Only one way to find out… so it’s time get Hitched.

So if you haven’t read a Kendall Ryan book, where have you been? Have you been hiding under a rock? Just kidding, but in all seriousness you need to say I DO when it comes Kendall Ryan. Ms. Ryan has never steered me wrong as she continues to deliver a story that will have you walking down the aisle with a big fat smile on your face.

#HitchedVol1

The blurb alone to HITCHED I was sold. I didn’t need any more persuasion and how could I when you have hero who has a monster cock and add in the fact that Kendall Ryan incorporates humor, banter, sexual tension, and sizzling chemistry like no other. The sexual chemistry in this book was off the charts fun and smart. Since this serial was a fun quick light read that doesn’t need much explaining, I think it’s best for readers to get lost in the world and lives of Noah and Olivia as they try to work on their relationship and what is expected of them. So can these two get hitched without any problems or hidden clause and stipulations?

 photo 824b0db02266517b6d1d91eb51c7b4_zpskgfihonq.gif “Why do you call me Snowflake?” He steps closer and runs one finger along my cheek, making my skin tingle in its wake. “Because you’re just like a snowflake. Beautiful and unique, and with one touch you’ll be wet.”

So if you are looking for a fresh, modern, fun, sassy, and wickedly smart romance that weaves friendship, family, and a budding romance that is filled with heart and raw emotions, then I highly recommend you to read Hitched. This first installment to the Imperfect Love Serial will definitely have you walking the aisle and have you saying I DO want more of Kendall Ryan’s fun serial.

5 Noah’s Snowflake Stars

I love Kendall Ryan reads, they are always fast, fun and sexy. Her books are always a hit for me and Hitched is becoming a new favorite of mine. I was instantly drawn by the summary. Who doesn’t want the hero chasing after the heroine, better yet, who doesn’t want the Hero chasing after the Heroine in order to get married?

Yes, please sign me up.

Noah and Olivia grew up together. Both of their parents have longed for their children to get married and take over the business together. And that’s what Noah plans to do, marry his childhood crush and run the business with her. If only Olivia was so obliging.

“I’ve always wanted Olivia. Always desired her, from before I even knew what those strange feelings were in my gut, my chest.”

What I love most about Hitched is that Noah truly cares and has feelings for Olivia. He’s desires for her brings a smile on my face, because I’ll say it again, I love it when the guy chases after the girl. It’s completely swoon-worthy. Noah is the alpha male I love in Kendall Ryan books, he’s smart, dominate and handsome. He works hard and plays very hard.

Olivia is feisty, sassy and she loves her job. She’s the total opposite to fun-loving Noah. She doesn’t want to marry Noah, but she doesn’t really have any options left, but that doesn’t meant she doesn’t try to get Noah to go on her terms.

The banter and chemistry between Noah and Olivia is really adorable and sweet. I love Noah’s need to get to know Olivia better, but not scare her away. I love that it’s a friendship they try to build on and try to get to know each other. There are plenty of cute moments.

I read Hitched in one sitting, I laughed so many times my belly ached, it’s a fun romantic read with a light hearted story that makes me ache for more when I finished.

Entertaining but nothing special. It's like Kendall took all the famous NA contemporary tropes and put them into this trilogy... which could've worked, in my opinion, better as a whole novel. The weird cliffhangers were starting to annoy me. I like the hero, he's a good guy and he tries his best, and the heroine... is okay, but, like this whole trilogy, nothing special or interesting.

I feel like I have nothing to say about this first installment, but I expect a rant for the other two.

PS. I'm currently at college so I probably won't be able to post as much as I would like to. I have so many reviews to write so I hope I'll eventually find some time.

Ahhhhh, I'm going to need the next book in this new series from Kendall Ryan, STAT.

THAT. ENDING. Good grief, I'm nervous and excited and my heart’s all aflutter, thinking about what could possibly come next for Noah and Olivia…

I love Kendall Ryan books, because I'm guaranteed a sweet and sexy ride, characters that charm and entice, and stories that are fun and flirty with heart and feels and humor. Hitched is no exception. In fact, Hitched is pretty much the rule. Because it was all those things, and more.

I was—I am—addicted to this book, and now, this series. From the first page, I wanted to know more. I liked both Noah and Olivia, and that quickly grew to love as they got to know one another, made some out-of-character choices (I can't believe she followed him!!), and worked together to ensure their future. Noah was all swoon and panty-melting cheekiness, while Olivia was strong and feisty, and together they made Hitched a book that sucked me in and charmed the hell out of me. It wasn't always roses, but even Olivia’s cool dislike and Noah’s joking insults were endearing. And then…the ending *blinks*.

Ms. Ryan took what could have been a wholly unbelievable story and infused it with this playful lightness; a happy and fun tone that made me a believer. I believe that Noah and Olivia need each other, and need to be together for reals. They need that ALMOST as much as I need the next book. And I really need the next book. ~ Beth, 5 Snowflake stars

~~~
Seriously, I don’t think that Kendall Ryan can write a bad book. I have adored every one that I have read, but this one goes right to the top as my new favorite. Hitched is the perfect blend of sexy, spicy, sassy, and satisfying.
“Gah…tummy flip, right on cue. Screw him – no wait, don’t screw him. I mean, forget him. And his monster penis.”
Olivia and Noah have grown up together. Their fathers started the company, Tate & Cane Enterprises and both work there now, with the expectation of taking over when their fathers step down. However, they didn’t expect to have to get married in order to keep the company.
Noah is all in—he will do anything to save Tate & Cane, and their thousands of employees. Plus, marrying his crush for the last twenty years won’t hurt either. He thinks she’s gorgeous, smart, and pretty much perfect. But Olivia has her own set of plans and being forced to marry isn’t one of them. Especially not the arrogant, cocky playboy she grew up with.
Watching Noah wear Olivia down is hilarious and amusing. He is the picture-perfect blend of dirty and sweet.
“Does it make you uncomfortable to know that at night, in the dark, I pump my hard cock to thoughts of your sassy attitude, smart mouth, and gorgeous tits?”
And the sexual tension is through the roof, making the pages sizzle. I adore Olivia’s feistiness and how she refuses to give up what she believes in, even if it makes her a control freak.
I couldn’t put this down and need the second volume, NOW! I can’t wait to find out what is going to happen with Noah and Olivia (and maybe even Sterling and Camryn?!?), and if the company will be saved. Please, don’t make me wait too long!! ~ Tiffany, 5 stars
Hitched is the first installment in a three part Imperfect Love series. Each book releasing about a month apart. This is the story of Noah Tate and Olivia Cane. Two business professionals whose families have a long standing history of friendship and a partnership in their media advertising firm. Their relationship over the years hovers from business professional to disgust depending on the actions of our manwhore hero on any given day. When Noah's father passes away, they're both unpleasantly surprised to find that in order for them to take over their company, they must marry and become co-CEOs... Oh, and provide an heir within 90 days of their nuptials. That's all good if Olivia could stand to be within breathing distance of Noah on any given occasion. Marriage? Living together? Children? Say it ain't so. But refusing causes the instability in the already unstable company their families have spent decades building....
This is one of those love-hate tropes. She's disgusted with Noah yet deep-down has this insane attraction to everything he exudes. Rumors say a lot around the office space but when Olivia starts to spend some time with Noah 1:1 she finds he's much deeper than the shallow character she's mistakenly pinned him as. Could this work? Maybe they need a trial run?
Hitched was cute and sexy. Both MCs having their deep need to keep their company legacy going but giving up their chance for that happily ever after love story. From the blurb, I expected Olivia to really give Noah a run for his money but I was pleasantly surprised to see she saw him for what he truly is after just a few "dates" with him. He cares deeply about the company but more importantly, about his thousands of employees that count on him.
Hitched does end in a bit of a cliffy and I'm happy this is a serial of sorts. I don't think I'd like to wait much longer than the month until the next installment releases. So if you're looking for an easy read, low on angst but fairly steamy, I think this serial will be a hit!
Hitched was one of my most anticipated books of 2016. Turns out it is also my biggest book disappointment of 2016. This could have been so much better. This is going to sound incredibly awful but I promised I’d be honest, I wish this book had been written by someone else. The plot and premise of this book is amazing, I want to read this story so badly, just with a better writer. This book had a ton of potential but it was wasted away by flimsy writing and a lack of substance.
description
The list of things of that I didn’t enjoy, besides the writing, is pretty long but here are some key points.
-- The foundation on which their relationship is built upon was more unstable than a seesaw. Okay, let me get this straight. These two have known each other their entire lives. Entire lives. They were children together, hooked up in the summers, see each other daily at work. However they act like they don’t know each other? One minute they’re being written as acquaintance, then old friends, then enemies, then business partners, then lovers. WHAT IS THEIR RELATIONSHIP? Please don’t even get me started on the escalation of their relationship. They went from hating each other, to moving in with each other, to possibly being in love in under like… a week. I hate everything.
description
-- Noah calling Olivia, Snowflake. I wanted to vomit every time he said it.
-- Just Noah in general. The author had no clue what to do with this guy. Same with Olivia. She’s suppose to be warm and fuzzy and a softy at heart. I didn’t see that once.
-- The contract. The whole contract situation is messed up. Actually not the marriage clause, but the way it was constructed. The fathers of Noah and Olivia really want them together, even though it is apparent they hate each others guts. They don’t care though. They’re just like
image: description
And if that wasn’t ENOUGH, they add in the contract that Noah must get Olivia pregnant in NINETY DAYS. Excuse me? EXCUSE ME? I just can’t. Can’t. I was livid. What type of father put this in a contract for his daughter? This is 2016 not 1442. It’s just gross. Then there is the fact that she needs to get pregnant in 90 days or they lose the company. Umm excuse me?????? Getting pregnant is not that simple. What if she has a fertility issue? Do they lose the company then? I’m sorry, I know I’m rambling, but how dumb.
-- What was that ending!?
description
I know it’s a cliffhanger but that was just a joke. The book ended so abruptly I thought I missed something. Who ends a book like that? I swear. I know the next book comes out a week later, but first of all the cliffhanger, and frankly the entire book, was weak so why would I even want to read what happens next after that cliffhanger.
--What I’m really mad at most of all is the lack of sex. That sounds so wrong, but let me explain. This is classified as NA novel. If you’re going to have sub-par writing I at least want to read some smut okay. There was one scene out of the entire book and it was the equivalent to second base. The disappointment is real. Also, that one scene was disgusting. His fingers were in no mans land, he sniffed them, didn't wash them, and preceded to eat. WHO DOES THAT? I mean the sexual tension was written semi well but there was no pay off in the entire book. My point is, you can’t base an ENTIRE book around what is suppose to be a sexual and romantic relationship and not write romance. ::screams:: The author makes readers wait until book two or three for that to happen and honestly who has time, or the patience, to put up with two more poorly written books?
--Can we please talk about the inconsistencies. This detail is so small, and I know I’m just being picky now, but this will explain the sloppy writing. So somewhere in the middle of the book Noah mentions that Olivia is wearing jeans and like a ratty old shirt or something. He makes a big deal of her looking sexy blah blah blah blah. Then two* chapters later he makes a comment how she must not have anything but business cloths in her wardrobe. Really. Really. Because you just said she was so cute in her casual wear but now she doesn’t even own a t-shirt.
description
That’s it, I don’t even want to this about this book anymore. UGH!
Hitched: Volume One is the first installment in Kendall Ryan's adult comtemporary romance collection titled Imperfect Love. This story appears to be a mixture of business arrangement relationship and second-chance romance. There's a pretty significant amount of relationship backstory that is referred to many times but is blatantly missing which was quite confusing. I checked this collection many times to ensure I hadn't missed a prequel or something and to date there is none. Also, the relationship/story development felt lacking based on my personal reading experience. Regardless, the beginning of this "business arrangement to lovers" theme still felt fairly engaging with some tender family moments and plenty of sexy romantic tension that was fun to read.
The ebook of Hitched: Volume One is approximately 200 pages and the audio is about 4 hours in length. Super easy yes, but it's only a snippet of one full story - very similar if not the same as a serial setup. The reason this one story was split up into three different short books versus a standalone is unknown to me but (I know I'm jumping to conclusions, but...) I don't support publishing decisions that string a reader's pocketbook along. I realize most trilogies/series do the same thing but at least your getting more for your buck. Based on my experience with this first novella, there are important elements missing and if a book is published in this way, it best have plenty of content to warrant the number of installments.
Well, there's my rant for today. In summary, this is a story that I would very much like to continue but I personally won't open my pocketbook for little pieces at a time. I'll keep my eye out for these volumes at my local library with my fingers crossed. Otherwise, it just wasn't meant to be.
My favorite quote:
“Everyone needs someone around. I’m not talking about money or power . . . I’m talking about love. A listening ear, a shoulder to cry on. A partner who shares life’s burdens.”
Kendall Ryan's Imperfect Love serial/collection includes the following installments as of August 2016.
Hitched: Volume One
Hitched: Volume Two
Hitched: Volume Three
4.5 ' Let's get frigging Hitched ' Stars
The day i saw this book's cover and name i added it to my to-read pile. But when i read the blurb, boy I couldn't stop my finger from clicking on the pre-order button!
"Marry the girl I've had a crush on my whole life? Check.
Inherit a hundred billion dollar company? Check.
Produce an heir..... Wait, What? "
I thought that I would wait till all the books in this series release but i couldn't stop myself from sneaking a peak which turned into reading a whole page. The page turned into reading a chapter...... And the next thing i know I'm reading the whole book. Really it wasn't in me to stop myself. I just could Not!
I don't even know what to say/ write about this book. It was just that good!
Noah Tate: funny, sweet, caring, Sexy, HOT, charming, a real people's person sorta guy. An heir to a Hundred Dollar company and CEO-to be. He knows how to seal a deal in and out of the office and not just with a future client. ;)
Olivia Cane: Smart, Sexy, Beautiful, and....... committed to her work. Also an heir and co-CEO-to be along with Noah.
And she hates the very idea of being tied to Noah for gaining that inheritance..
"Game On!"
Noah isn't like our the over-the-top Alphas who needs taming. He's just like a regular relaxed sorta guy with money. Whereas Olivia is way too serious about her job and the company's is everything she has ever dreamed of along with a romantic wedding. Well what they say is true.. That inside the very tough shell is a very tender heart.
"Why do you call me Snowflake?"
"Because you're just like a snowflake. Beautiful and unique and with one touch you'll be wet."
'Gah___ tummy flip, right on cue. Screw him...... No wait, don't screw him. I mean, forget him and his monster Penis.'
I was hooked from the very start. It was so engaging that the next time i looked up I'd finished it. Yep completed it in one sitting.
Hitched was funny with lots of laugh out loud moments, brilliantly stated sexual innuendos and banter. While it had me swooning, and my heart in flutters; it had me sick with anticipation.
The carefully drawn out anticipation and the sexual tension had left me high and dry for the next installment.
And...Damn the ending!! I couldn't have even imagined it in a million times!!
I'm literally in love with Hitched. And in love with Noah Tate. And ladies i do call Dibs on him. He's Mine!
Highly Recommended and a must read!
Kendall Ryan strikes gold in her latest super star, Hitched, a romantic comedy spiked with steam, anchored by angst, and flooded with feels. The banter, bounce, and brilliance of this book wrap itself around you so tightly where you can’t help but be swept into this whirlwind romance. Addicting. Arousing. Alluring. Hitched is a fun, feisty, and flirty friends-to-lovers romance that hitches itself to your heart and hypnotizes you, never letting go.
When asked to do an early read of Kendall Ryan’s Hitched, I was honored. After reading the first few lines of the cocky and captivating synopsis, I was hooked. Hitched to Hitched. Anchored by its allure, I knew I would be in for a tantalizing and perhaps tortuous treat.
“Marry the girl I’ve had a crush on my whole life? Check.”
“Inherit a hundred-billion-dollar company? Check.”
“Produce an heir…wait, what?”
Childhood friends and now frenemies forced to wed and make a baby in mere months? I’m IN! I’m so far in that I’m swimming in this story before I’ve had my book date. I’m tied to this twisted tale. Deeply entwined in a sea of sweet seduction. Hitched quickly grabbed me and held on tight. I was devouring every word like a hungry lion; the story was my prey.
To land his father’s hundred-billion-dollar company, Noah Tate must land a bride, and produce an heir with his childhood friend and now frenemy, Olivia Cane. Olivia and Noah were hand-picked by their fathers, company co-owners, to marry and make grandbabies in mere months.
“I’ve always wanted Olivia. Always desired her, from before I even knew what those strange feelings were in my gut, my chest.”
It’s too bad his childhood crush is unrequited as Olivia can’t stand Noah. Though there is nothing Noah loves more than a challenge. The gorgeous blonde, blue-eyed, and hour-glass-figured Olivia is a challenge he’d like to conquer like Mount Everest. So for Noah it’s game on.
“I’m not losing the $100 billion company that my father built because the ice queen won’t play nice.”
Noah is the company manwhore who has satisfied many single female employees and countless other willing women in and out of the office. Dark-haired and dark-eyed, gorgeous, and a body made for sin, Noah loves sex and aims to please.
“To me, sex is a competitive sport. I know the rules, I play hard, and I always win.”
Hell will freeze over before the cool and collected Olivia falls for this manwhore, no matter how hard and long she has fantasized about a hot night or few with Noah. She won’t succumb to his charm or smoldering stare. She can’t continue lusting after her teenage crush.
“I’ve already gotten a view of his toned body, firm chest, and six-pack abs…It’s ridiculous how easily Noah grabs my attention…He’s the thing my teenage fantasies were made of.”
For Olivia to agree to the marital sham, Noah must convince her that they can be friends and tolerate each other, and woo her a bit. Oh, and he’s only allowed to hit first base. No homeruns with the manwhore for Olivia.
“First base only, as I believe you said. And fully clothed. Which means you keep that giant thing in your pants.”
Staying on first base and guarding her may be easier said than done for Olivia as Noah is pulling out the big guns, with one giant 9-inch gun in his pants that’s definitely aimed at her. He would love to thaw out the ice queen, preferably with some body-to-body contact in the sheets.
Olivia is doomed as Noah is the King of Seduction. His dirty talk is off-the-charts HOT.
“This pussy is mine now, and we both know it. I’m going to take damn good care of my wife.”
I’m scorching from Noah’s dirty talk, and they haven’t even hit a homerun.
“Everything about this woman is stiff and unrelenting. What I need is to get her to loosen up and relax. She’s wound too tight…Work aside, that becomes my next priority.”
Tick tock. Tick tock. Time is running out to save the company and if Noah wants Olivia to go willingly as his bride, he must up his game. Olivia is still holding out for something real: love.
“I know what I’m getting myself into, Noah. Besides, my focus is going to be on saving this company, not pretending to be the happy little wife to my fake husband.”
Noah has to melt his Snowflake and convince her that there is more to him than his rich, cocky, and hot exterior. He has to show Olivia the humble and nice guy she knew as a child: the man who has always cared for her.
“I’ll win you over, Snowflake. This will happen.”
What a delicious and decadent ride! Hitched hooks you hard with a dual dose of heat and heart where you don’t want to escape as you are embedded in this sensational story. Explosive and entertaining like fireworks, and emotionally-entwined like first love, Hitched leaves you aching for more. The banter and angst fuel the fire of the sweet and spellbinding storyline.
Kendall Ryan dropped a book bomb of bliss. I was captivated and completely immersed into the hot and humorous Hitched, which harnessed my heart and held on to my head. I am thoroughly hitched to Hitched and I don’t want to let go.
Crack. BOOK CRACK. I probably should have paid attention to what this series was going to be about before I started. But it’s Kendall Ryan. I just one-click and read, it’s a cycle I don’t plan on breaking anytime soon.
Hitched is the first part of the Imperfect Love Series which consists of three volumes, the final set to be released on August 2, 2016 (so at least the wait isn’t going to kill me) and it focuses on Noah and Olivia.
These two were raised together and expected to one day take over their father’s company – it’s what they’ve been groomed to do since they could remember. But after Noah’s father passes, the company starts to discover that they aren’t exactly financially stable, and Olivia’s father is not quite equipped to solve all the firm’s woes – the soon discover the fine print in the will. Marriage. The only way to prevent the board from selling the company to the highest bidder is for these two to tie the knot. The only problem, they don’t seem to get a long that well.
This is sort of an enemies to lover’s story with a twist of sort of second chances... both Noah and Olivia had childhood crushes on each other and as adults both have a strong attraction that they’ve avoided by being a little cold to each other – but with so much as stake, Noah can’t walk away – he just has to convince Olivia to say I do.
This was steamy and fun romance! I love Kendalls writing style to pieces and she always gives this twist of humor to her writing. Noah sort of won over my heart the second his man-whoring ways came out. I love a good reformed man-whore! And while Olivia tries hard to stay prim and proper, she ignites under his touch and the chemistry was off the charts. I loved that this wasn’t instant love. Although they both are harboring old crushes, they really don’t know enough about one another beyond the physical to have anything more than friendship at this point.
I can’t wait to read part two and to find out what caused all that conflict in the closing pages of part one. Another book from this author that I loved and another series that has hooked me!
