In one instant… Everything in Josie Carlton’s world changed. She’d been living a quiet, unremarkable life and now she’s on the run from bad guys who want her dead and police who want to put her behind bars for a crime she didn’t commit. She needs to find someplace she can lie low and figure out just what she’s going to do. A man figuring out life… Evan Davis has left law enforcement behind and is trying to find a new direction and purpose. In the meantime, he has a pile of work that needs to be done around his old, rundown family home. Hiring a secretive and obviously desperate girl straight off the bus doesn’t seem like a good idea but something in her pained eyes pulls at his heart. She needs someone to help her and it might as well be him. It’s only cleaning a house after all. Until it’s much more. Josie’s been told she can’t trust a single soul but Evan isn’t just anybody. The former US Marshal and small town sheriff isn’t a stranger to sticky situations but she hates to pull him back into the life he happily left. But if she wants to stay alive, she may not have a choice.

Actually 3.5 stars

Her best friend's dying words were to tell Josie Carlton to run, so that's what she did. Now she's running from the police (as a person of interest in her best friend's murder) and from the bad guys (who want the flash drive her friend gave Josie). Luckily, Josie ends up in a small town in Florida, where former U.S. Marshal Evan Davis needs help fixing up his grandparents' old house.

This is largely a very good novel. I like Evan and Josie and their relationship, and it's nice to see the characters from the other novels come to help him out. The main negative revolves around Evan's ex-partner, and the cliche of the woman scorned. She because she's pissed that he's fallen for someone else? Lame.

The Cowboy Justice Association is a series with 8 books. I have read and loved every single one of them. These were my first books by author Olivia Jaymes and I can say that I will be reading more of her work. This series revolves around 8 former military, currently sheriffs of small towns men and the women they protect. With the exception of this last book, the rest primarily take place in small towns in Montana. Hence the association to cowboy. These sheriffs are badass, sexy alpha males who wear cowboy hats and boots. Truthfully thats as close to cowboys as they get but that didn't take away anything from the stories. If you love erotic romance featuring protective alpha males with suspense, you will love this series. With every new book I read, I had a new book boyfriend. Justice Reborn actually takes place in Florida where former military, US Marshall, and small town sheriff Evan Davis meets our h, Josie. I don't want to say anything that will give away the plot so you'll have to read it for yourself. I will say that one thing I enjoyed about this series is that the main characters are mature in age (mid to late 30's to middle 40's. Being older myself, It made the books that much more special to me. The series is done in both H/h POV's and have HEA's.

Didn't think this series could get any better.........but this book is the best one yet!

Another fantastic book in a series that has been amazing from the start.

It is lovely to see Evan get his girl, we have met him a few times in past books and he is a gorgeous guy who not only makes you swoon, but has the actions and personality to back his looks up and give the full package. How could you not fall for him, he would be there to catch you before you hit the floor and shelter and protect you, fight for you or stand strong by your side. It is these qualities that makes Josie question if he is too good to be true.....can she really trust him with her life?

Another hot, steamy, sexy tale that is a page turner from page one. Love it! It is lovely to catch up with the other couples from the earlier books and I cannot wait for the next one!

Five Reborn stars.

Evan has been part of the Cowboy Justice Association from the first page of the first book and it was wonderful to see his book come to life. Josie was a great counterpart to him.

I loved the ending

I'm not sure what I will do now that this series is over - Ms Jaymes you need to write more!

I love Olivia Jaymes and her band of Montana lawmen!

I have enjoyed every book of Olivia Jaymes Cowboy Justice Association! The romance and adventure continue in book 8, "Justice Reborn." The setting has changed from Montana to Florida, as the main character, Evan, has left not only the law but his sherriff friends in Montana behind. Olivia has used the same excellent writing talent to paint a vivid word picture of Evan's new home. The female lead, Josie, provides a strong female counterpoint to Evan's alpha male personality. I appreciate that Olivia's female characters are not the usual "damsels in distress." Olivia Jaymes develops well rounded, empowered females ,women readers like myself would love to have as friends. Olivia speaks to the heart and soul of all women when she writes.

The romance in "Justice Reborn" is enough to make a grown married woman sigh. The words Evan uses to express his attraction to Josie are so sexy and romantic, I simply melted into a puddle of goo as I read! Yet, what sets Olivia Jaymes apart from other romance writers is that sex and romance do not overwhelm the storyline. Olivia's adventure and suspense writing make sure that her novels are entertaining and intriguing. Olivia Jaymes is a proven talented storyteller. She drops so many twists and turns into her story it is impossible to guess the ending. Instead, she forces you to hang on tight as you fly through the turns, hoping for a safe landing! But not to worry as Olivia guarantees a happily ever after to all her books.

So take a moment and curl up with Justice Reborn. I can assure you the house will still be standing if you take time to savor a good book.

Since the events in Cowboy Command, FBI Agent Evan Davis has had a career ending injury and done time as a small town sheriff before realizing how much he hates being a desk jockey. Evan quits the job and quits Montana, deciding it would be best if he spent time working on family property in Florida while he plans for his future.

Josie Carlton's on the run and has never been so scared in her life! She saw men leave her best friend on the street...murdered, that friend left Josie incriminating evidence and told her to stay safe. The murderers aren't far behind and neither is the law since a well meaning neighbor implicated Josie in the murder.

Luck and timing landed Josie in Cypress Corner, Florida just as Evan starts looking for help to work on his property. Slowly Josie and Evan become attracted to each other but try to ignore their feelings since their personal lives are in an upheaval. Circumstances bring them closer and Josie has no choice but to trust Evan completely.

In my opinion the low flame on this couple was the perfect way to link Evan back to the Montana sheriff's group and his ex-partner at the FBI in meaningful cameos. The twist of betrayal also worked given the ultimate plot ramifications.

🧹🏚️Idk why I thought Evan would be a grump.

🧹🏚️For a former cop Evan is not even a little bit of suspicious 😂Josie doesn't have a phone, car, paying cash, on the road, he didn't even ask for an ID. And she avoids people. Nothing fishy is even crossing Evan's mind. It's kinda funny.

🧹🏚️Such perfect connection. Their relationship is so we'll developed. I love it.

🧹🏚️Why we're getting Marissa's pov? I'm really hating the whole world through that.

🧹🏚️I wouldn't have informed Evan of Marissa's betrayal. That felt really cheap to me. Yes she's wrong at pushing Evan's personal boundaries and handing over Josie. But I kinda felt for her when everyone was unnecessary rude to her at the station when she was just doing her job and trying really hard not to hate the woman who seemed to be getting especial treatment everywhere. So she snapped and paid the price. Josie could have kept her memories intact for Evan. Now Evan will always remember Marissa as a betrayer and not the partner he always trusted and risked his life with.

🧹🏚️The mystery part of the book is really bland. I liked the romance more. It was well build. So I liked the first half only. Cause after that I felt like the book has changed.

Josie' s story starts being in the wrong place, wrong time. That's why she's running from the police and hit men. When she gets off the bus in a small town in Florida her future looks grim. Evan is former military, former US Marshall, former small town sheriff. He's basically biding his time, looking for the next direction for his future. Now he's cleaning out his grandparents abandoned home in that same Florida town. Their meeting and subsequent employer/employee relationship are a reflection of her desperation and his desperate need for help with the house. His law enforcement background provides him insight to Josie's actions and reactions. Soon they're working together on her problems. And, in addition, reinforcements from Montana arrive and this becomes the true Cowboy Justice Association adventure we've come to know and love. I enjoyed this story for the honesty it evokes about people finding their way in new situations and working together to find new futures. Great stuff including mystery, suspense, action and love.

It’s been awhile since I read a Cowboy Justice Association book, but it only took a few pages in to remember how much I enjoy this series. Evan is at crossroad in his life and gives up law enforcement. He returns to an old family home in a small town in Florida.
Josie is running for her life and finds herself in the same small town. Together they “escape” their former worlds to a simpler life style. They quickly become friends and soon much more.
There is drama, suspense, and steamy scenes. When things start going sideways for Josie, Evan calls on his friends from the Justice Association for assistance. The loyalty, history, and trust these men share is what makes this series so captivating. Their friendships are only second to the women they love.

Evan Davis has been looking for his place ever since he was badly injured by a gang freeing a criminal from a prison transfer. He tried being a sheriff and became so disillusioned he didn't wait to find another job, he just quit. While trying to clean out and prepare a family home for possible sale, Josie falls into his lap. He finds her to be secretive and decides she is hiding something. She is, indeed. She is on the run for her life after seeing her best friend murdered because of something she knew. He decides that he needs to protect her and finds help from the CJA - Seth, Dare, and Reed. There is an HEA here but a lot has to happen first.

Loved this! I don’t need a super scary thriller, a romantic story with a very slight element of suspense is enough for me.

I love all these lawmen and this book means I’ve now read the entire series, albeit not in order but it was so enjoyable. I can’t wait to start on the deputy novellas and then the new spin off series in May. I love reading about sexy alpha men, an older alpha man is even sexier.

Justice Reborn!

I loved this story of Evan and Josie. Josie is on the run after her best friend is killed and she is given a thumb drive to protect. Evan needs help with his grandfather's house as he was a hoarder and the house is filled to the brim with stuff. As they work together their attraction grows and finally Josie tells Evan why she is on the run. Looking forward to more by Olivia as she has an amazing flare when it comes to writing great stories:)

The Marshall gets his woman

Evan and Josie meet as he is at a crossroads as he tries to find his joy. Ever the lawman, when Josie is forced to reveal her secret Evan will stop at nothing to protect her. Evan's past comes back to haunt him but his fellow cowboy lawmen ride to the rescue. We also get to catch up with the ladies of this series.

Evan's story was great, we met him from the very start in Cowboy Command book1 and always made an appearance since, his story is different since he left the Marshall and Sheriff office but it doesn't mean he left his training behind when he meets Josie and needs help from the rest of the crew of Cowboy Justice. Love the suspense and the slow burn between Evan and Josie.

Evan is the man

From the very first book I have loved Evans character. Its great tosee he finally has his happy ending too. From the beginning of the book and the introduction of Marissa, I knew she would play a bad guy role. Its stil sad to think the group are disbanding. I thi k them working as a team in this book has made it my favourite of the series.

Powerfully exciting adventure

This story is one you will not want to put down. The author drops so many twists and turns that I was unable to guess the end of the mystery. A great job of writing.

Intriguing

Evan is up for this book. Our favorite Marshall that started this whole series finally gets his story. Up and down in his life, watching his story unfold was really great to read. Mystery and turns I didnt see coming made for a great read.

This is the 8th book in the series. It is the story of former U.S. Marshall Evan Davis and Josie Carlton who is on the run after finding her best friend murdered. The author writes a pretty good love scene. The criminal aspects of the story, not so much.

Olivia Jaymes writes amazingly gripping stories that are guaranteed to keep a reader engrossed and captivated till the every end. Each book has it’s own unique plot, packed with danger, intrigue and enough steamy passion to raise your pulse.

Evan and Josie’s story is definitely a wonderful edition to the Cowboy Justice Association and the bevy of characters who have graced the pages before them. The wait between books is always rewarded by a fabulous story and the certainty that the next will be just as good.

WOW!!!!! Five golden stars for Justice Reborn by Olivia Jaymes!!!!! This is the eighth book in the series Cowboy Justice Association and believe me I think they get better and better!!!
Evan Davis doesn't know what to do with his life after quitting his job as a small town sheriff. So to pass the time he agrees to clean up his grandfathers house which is passed from floor to ceiling with junk. He needed someone to help him.
Josie Carlton is on the run from people who want her dead and cops that think she killed her best friend. She needs a job no questions asked and paid in cash.
Evan meets her and hires her on the spot and she really works hard. But when he ask question about her life she gives him short answers. He knew there was something she wasn't telling him.
Josie really likes Evan and she wants to trust him with her secret. Does she dare? Will he believe her or turn her in?
This story has very strong characters who work together very well. Also characters from the other stories make appearances too.
I love the series and hope everyone will enjoy the book!!!!

WOW That was a hell of a ride there. I thought I knew the direction the story would take but again I was pleasantly surprised on the direction it did go. True friendships shine through in this addition of the Cowboy Justice Association. A murder and a political bad guy made a interesting turn of events. Evan is not knowing what he wants to do after he leaves law enforcement. Josie's life has turned into trouble. The chemistry they share and the peace the give each other was evident and I was glued to the book until the very end.

I wish there were more lawmen to keep adding to the series. I loved all of them. My hope for Evan came true. I would recommend this series to anyone. It was interesting, funny, sexy as all get out. I never once felt like the writer was over stretching to make more pages. It was a very fluid read. However the edit was not as good as the others. There were more missed spelled words or where the sentence was changed mid thought but was not adjusted accordingly. I'm so thankful I'm already married to a law man. Plenty of fantasy's to choose from. Hehehe

Best in series!

Definitely a five star. Action , romance and comedy. Evan is gorgeous and Josie is sassy. I started reading the series a year ago. This book was worth the agonizing wait. I would recommend this book if you are looking for a fun read. I can't wait for the next one. ( I hope there will be a next one!)
