Hot Candy #1

Candy Boys

Rate this book
Joel and Jethro. Roommates. Total hunks. Inseparable friends. Hot as hell.
Meet my fantasy boyfriends. Aren’t they just the sexiest, cutest thing? I know, right? They totally are. They are hot, too hot for a quiet – and obsessed with them – girl working in a bookshop.
That’d be me, by the way.
There’s also the tiny problem of Joel wanting another girl. And as for Jethro, well… he doesn’t do girls. Or maybe he doesn’t do relationships. He certainly doesn’t do boys, so he isn’t doing his best and very male friend… right? Much less his male friend and me at the same time.
So it’s fine to crush on them. And write a serial story on my blog in which we have tantric sex in every possible position.
All three of us. Together. Touching, and licking, and sucking, and screwing.
Whew.
I mean, it’s okay. It’s perfectly safe. They’ll never even know I exist, much less find out about my blog and my secret fantasy about them.
Right?
Yeah, that’s what I thought, too.

Poor heroine (Candy.)

She's literally the third wheel in a love affair between the two heroes, and she doesn't even realize it.

And I don't know how many times I'm gonna say this, but I absolutely HATE when authors misrepresent bisexuals, as "needing" both genders. It's absolutely disgusting how many times authors think that bisexuals are people who find one of the genders "not enough," therefore needing both to be satisfied...

I'm so fucking tired of it!😡

Can't they just be bisexual without the whole plot of them NEEDING both genders?

I love a good ménage story as much as the next girl, but stop trying to use the "need both genders" device to justify WHY they are in that type of relationship...

This had so much potential for me to like it and at the start, I did but then it just went downhill as I got to know the characters.

The heroine is meek and naive.

The "bisexual" hero is pinning after the "straight" hero while the heroine is literally just an afterthought. He claims he can't be satisfied without both genders. Yuckers!

The "straight" hero with the homophobic dad is so fucking stoic and also so pre-occupied with the other hero that I have no idea why the heroine is even in this book.

The sex scenes were hot but I was so caught up on how much -uneven- things were, that I didn't even enjoy them.

I just kept making remarks at the things I was reading (listening to.)

Also, what the fuck was up with Joel's homophobic dad?

The amount of time that man uttered the word "faggot," I thought he'd have an aneurysm...

That was way over the top lol.

Every other word out of his mouth was "faggot..."
Lmao, who talks like that?

Candace Amanda Riley, you got this...

This book felt sooo good! Like you are invited to a dinner party and you are served cotton candy and marshmallows for appetizer, chocolate lava cake with vanilla ice cream for main course and strawberries and cream for dessert. Pure heaven!

I don’t know about you, but I certainly have a sweet tooth.

Candy has a blog, a blog with adult content. A blog concerning her two fantasy lovers and her. The fantasy lovers that are actually real and she knows them since university. But they do not know her. She used to pant for them from a distance.

Until one morning all the universe conspire for these three people to meet. Joel enters the bookstore where she is working and he asks her for a book about bananas (because his best friend really likes bananas). A while later Candy meets Jet at a concert.

Joel and Jet have been besties for years. They are like brothers. Almost. Jet is actually lusting for Joel, while Joel is looking after Jet (cooking and cleaning for him) and has dirty, meaningless (maybe?) thoughts for him. Thoughts that they consume him and he stops them constantly by running.

Candy’s, Joel’s and Jet’s world will collide. Things will become so real that Candy cannot write about her fantasy boyfriends any more. Anything she secretly has wished, are hers to grab. No more fantasy world. She will be the catalyst for friends to become lovers.

Although this is hardcore MMF and MM read with many hot steamy scenes between the three, there is so much unpretentious innocence in their acts. The three of them are in their early twenties with not much experience to the ménage subject or moreover not much experience to being so close with two persons you love.

Jet knows vaguely and instinctively what he is supposed to do (no experience with threesomes, only one fast experience with a guy before), Candy knows theoretically what she is supposed to do (only from her books and her fantasy) and Joel is completely clueless, lost and full of regrets, fears and warnings from his father and his family.

Three points of view are used and this really helps to understand each character better.

Flashbacks of the two boys’ life and Candy’s blog contribute to understand the lovers’ feelings and where they are coming from.

The book is well written and very funny at times. It is playful, youthful, sweet. And well it is also smutty obviously.

4 Confused Banana Stars?

 photo hotbanana_zpsxgbcp5xq.gif

You will get the banana reference once you have read it ;)

Straight off the bat I am a little jealous of Candy but not because she has two hunky men no.
Because come on, Who here would not like to work in a bookstore?? lol

Candy is nerdy, curvy, wears glasses and writes a secret blog of an evening that stars her two fantasy or not so fantasy men. It has been getting a lot of attention lately and when Candy hears she could meet one in person she jumps at the chance. Candy has a crush on the two hot as sin guys that star in her blog and she wants them both together!! I loved her sarcasm and I found myself laughing so hard.

When life gives you bananas, make a smoothie

I was surprised by how forward Candy was;
 photo candy_zpsaljwmx4u.gif

Jethro/Jet is the quiet, dark and dangerous broody type who seems very damaged from his mysterious past. It ends up being Jet that welcomes Candy more openly which is surprising as at the start of the book I would have put money on Joel. I fell for Jet his character and intense need to feel secure with the ones he loves touches me.

Well poor big athletic Joel, he is one confused little puppy;
 photo confuseddog1_zpstviamgg4.gif

Joel is going through a rough time finding himself sexually and fighting the demons that are societies standards. After a strict upbringing with parents who judge badly, he tries fighting his feelings for his best friend. As the reader it is obvious what he is feeling and that gets a little frustrating as he continues to deny those feelings, I felt like giving him a good bitch slap.

Even during a threesome when they are all going at it, only giving Jet a pat on the head of high five.
 photo denial_zpshbrymwux.gif

but it does make for hotter scenes when they finally start exploring his sexuality. You get more M/M action in this one and the chemistry between the two is off the charts.

I did find that it was more about two couples rather than a threesome, I thought Jet and Candy were close and Jet and Joel were close. When they came together as a threesome I found that Candy was a mere presence rather than a participant.

So this was a great read that I really enjoyed. It was full of humour, sexy hotness and had a half decent story.

BUT

The ending was disappointing. After reading a really good story and getting heavily into it, wanting to find out what happens in the lives of these three people you spent two days getting to know (I read slowly). It just fell flat;
 photo fellflat1_zpseoz6c2mj.gif

Now I am left wondering what happened :(

Romance: ❤️💙💜💚
Steam: 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Story/Plot: 📕📗📘📙📔
World building: 🌏🌍🌏🌍🌎
Character development: 😠☺️😋😍🥰
Narration: 🎙🎙🎙🎙🎙
Narration Type: Dual Narration

The heroine: Candy - she works in a bookstore and writes a blog where she has like a serial which is super sexy and all in her own mind about her and her two boyfriends (J1 and J2). She is quirky and cute and has a voracious crush on two guys that are friends and roommates. She has had a crush on them since her first day in college and even though it has been a year since graduation, she continues to write about having a relationship with both of them and gets hundreds of thousands of hits on her blog.

The Heroes: Joel and Jethro - Joel was a track star in college and a business major. He was a player as well and dated a different girl every week. Many think he has been pining over Ellen Davenport forever, though in reality they are only friends with a secret. Jet is often distracted and Joel worries about him a bit. He gets in dark moods sometimes and his Australian accent has been coming through more and more recently. He has been remembering some bad things from his childhood.

The Story: In reality, Candy has never really met Jethro and Joel until one day when Joel comes into her bookstore and buys a book about bananas for Jet. Recently he has been looking at his roommate in a different way. Meanwhile Joel has a crush on the girl in the bookstore, yet she barely seemed to notice him and didn’t even ask for his number. Then Jethro meets a beautiful girl at a concert who helps him get a new job at a bookstore.

I really liked the way these three meet and come together, it is both cute and sexy. I love that Candy is kind of a quiet nerd but has such burning passions that she is not afraid to put out there for all her subscribers, yet she is extremely awkward when it comes to meeting the men she has been obsessed with for years. The two guys are also pretty cute when they start to get interested in each other but neither will admit anything.

This book is told in dual points of view via dual narration and was narrated by Ava Erickson, Sebastian York and Joe Arden. These are three of my favorite narrators so you really can’t go wrong with this one. Ava has a soft feminine voice which is easy on the ears and the Joe and Sebastian have gravelly alpha male voices which are perfect for almost any story.

The WORST book I read this year !!

First of all, the writting is atrocious. I looks like it is written by a sixteen years old fan girl. Wich I guess is fiting since Candy, the main character act like one too . There are a lot of "OHMYGOD OH MY GOD" in this book, and the way Candy acts is suppose to be cute and shy I guess but comes of as awkward and totally ridiculous. I liked her name, but I hated that book !

The boys are no better. They've know eith other since highschool, and been roomates since then but barely know anything at all about each other. Right... that is not stupid at all. And let me show you an exemple of their discution :

"Hey dickfass"
"Hey fuckfass, how are you?"
"Did you order anchovy on the pizza fucker ?"... and it goes on and on and on...

Finally the romance... Well, to be honest with you, I am still looking for it. The two boys are closeted gay, can't face it and need a girl to be their beard. Candy is kinda stupid really, and has no idea she is just the alibi so that the too boys can fuck each other. Poor girl...

By the way, not that their is anything wrong with gay romance but this one was cringe worthy, it was seriously painfull to read. I highly recommand you to stay away from this one

This was a sexy read and a fun audiobook. I had to get the ebook from Edenbooks but the audio was available on Audible+

This is 2 roommates who have been best friends for years. One has the crush on the other and is bisexual but has been hiding.

Then there is Candy who has a crush on both of them and writes a naughty seriel romance about them both fucking her and each other.

It gets spicy when they both meet her at different times and she does what she can to make her fantasies come true.

Candy has a crush on Joel and Jethro for many years now. Joel and Jethro are best friends and roommates. Joel meets Candy when he buys a book in the bookstore where she works. He’s attracted to her and can’t wait to see her again. One day, Joel kisses Candy and Candy can’t believe that a fantasy is coming true. She likes Joel. Not much later, Jethro also meets Candy and he likes her. Candy grows closer to both men and she wants them both.

I liked the characters, but the men a little more than Candy. Candy is a nerdy girl (she calls herself that). She loves her work and reading books. Candy is sweet, kind, shy and caring. She comforts and helps Joel and Jethro. Both men are happy and feel better when Candy is with them. It has been a long time since they felt that way. Jethro and Joel are a little damaged, but they feel safe with each other. They comfort each other and are always there for each other. They are best friends.

If I had to describe the second part of this book with one word, it would be: hot! It’s even very hot. It took some time before they had sex, but it was because someone is insecure about his sexuality. He slowly comes to terms about what he feels and wants. The others are very patient and never pushed him. I loved the epilogue!

I didn’t always connect with the characters and I didn’t completely understand Joel and Jethro’s attraction to Candy. There also was a lot of running. They did something together and someone always ran. That happened until almost the end of the book. I thought that after a while they would talk, because they had spent a lot of time together and knew each other better.

There are some great lines that make this book lol BUT I can't read a book about a menage when the two Hero's have zero confidence. One is suppose to be a player but can't figure out how to ask the girl out. The other constantly throw fits about how he's not good enough. For a book like this to work they have to know what they want and go after it, plus they have to be comfortable enough to share a woman. These two Hero's aren't together and and have no past sexual experience together or in sharing. They'er afraid to touch each other but I'm suppose to believe that they'll be ok with the heroine between them??

Strangely enough, its the heroine who is considered a "nerd" that has more confidence than the Heros put together...smh

Title: Candy Boys
Author: Jo Raven
Category: Romance, MMF
Series or Standalone: Standalone
Plot: 5
Characters: 5
Scorching Level:5
HEA: Not telling

I LOVE this author!!!! This book was different from her usual work but OMG!!!
This book is like a pure fantasy. Candy is a nerdy girl and a bookworm. She is an avid blogger and she loves putting her fantasies out there for the world to see. She has been obsessed with Joel & Jethro since forever, but she is cerain that they don't even know she exists.
Still, she is happy to dream about them from afar, never daring to think that there is any actual reality in her fantasies.
Until one day one of them makes an appearence at her workplace. Stunned, Candy realizes that Joel & Jethro might not be what she actually thought they were.
Joel has been there for Jethro since they first met. Thick as thieves, they are best friends until Joel realizes that not everything is as it seems.
The two best friends are infatuated with Candy; Candy is drawn to them both. Can they find a way around this tricky situation?
In usual Jo Raven fashion, there is humor, romance, steam and pain. Jethro has got to be my favorite character in this book and I loved reading about this tortured soul. Joel was stubborn but at the same time an amazing friend and Candy was simply adorable.
The book is fast paced but has detail in just the right places. If you want something entertaining and well written, then this is the book for you. I highly recommend it.

Im like 9...10? deep in bad kindle unlimited books now wondering if there will ever be a light at the end of the tunnel. Admittedly part of this was just a personal taste thing. I didn't realize the MCs were just out of college. I usually go for books with older characters (or at least more mature ones) to avoid the juvenile things that tend to occur in NA type books. First strike was 1st person POV which almost always makes the writing feel more juvenile. Second strike was a h who was kinda creepy with her obsession of the H's. I mean the blog fantasy based on some hot guys you knew of in college that's one thing. Friending a guy whos more or less a total stranger to fb stalk him and his roomate is a little much as is discussion of licking the screen over their photos. Third strike was the utter frat bro demeanor of the H's. I try hard to avoid them in real life I certainly don't wan't them in my fiction. Third strike grew from a straight guy suddenly being oddly obsessed with his roommates butt and culminated in homophobia lite (straight men shouldn't like phallic shaped fruit or something silly like that). I didn't even make it all the way through chapter two before realizing that there was no way this was gonna do anything but get on my nerves. And seriously the H put the h down right in front of her! tsk tsk.

3.5 "My Candy Boys" stars

Goddammn, is it hot in here or what?!

Candance/Candy-a nerdy girl with a long dreamed fantasy of being in a clinch with two studs-Joel/J Kingsley and Jethro/Jet Connors, two best friends, two people dealing with concerns of stigma and rejection while they figure out that the physical attraction might be just that, a chemical reaction, a sexual experiment, a curiosity of nature, exploration of sexuality and what it stands for...well until it starts to develop into something more...and when desire expands to Candy, their unconventional relationship takes a whole new meaning of co-existing.

Apart from being extremely smokin and off the charts hot, the characters were a bit awkward in communication and interaction when they just started to get to know Candy, then it eventually eased up into more profound experience and revelation of their sexual needs and desires...

But somehow that transition didnt work for me enough to not make a remark about it.

The characters' looming past that troubled them was a nice input as a sort of a prologue of each chapter...

But what i found most annoying in a very sloppy way of conducting a plot is the secondary cast that led to eventual events...that was just meh

But nevertheless, the sex in MFM, MM, and MMF combos were simply a sinful indulgence ;)

This review is for The Sweet Spot Sisterhood Blog. This review may contain spoilers.

Candy Boys by Jo Raven is the story of Candy, a nerdy blogger. She works at a bookstore by day and blogs by night. She reviews book and also writes a section called Candy Boys. She writes about enacting scenes with her real life crushes, Joel and Jethro. They don't know that Candy even exists. Then one day her two worlds start to collide. Her fantasies start to become reality.

I really want to like this book, but it is just missing something. I like the idea of the story. Most scenes were super hot. I always love a good MMF coupling. Other areas seemed to be cheesy and fall flat.

This one is hard to rate because I almost didn't finish it. But I read it in a single day because I kept going back to it ... and I ended up really really liking it. But it took me a while to get there and here's why:

Candy: Total stalker, her humour fell flat, and I think her awkwardness was meant to be cute...but it was just awkward. She broke the fourth wall a million times in the beginning and I thanked the lord that stopped about 20% in. She was the main reason I almost gave up not far into the book, but she did get better and less OTT as the book went on.

Joel: Some of his inner narrative sounded really feminine, and it felt as though the author thought if she put the f-bomb before every other word, it would make him more manly. I love a good F-bomb. There's a difference between "I love you" and "I fucking love you" but I also believe there's a time and place for them. In the first few chapters, I did a search because it seemed to be coming up A LOT. 774 variations of the F-bomb are in this book (I later found out when it ended at 50-something% that there was a free book at the end. but still that makes 774 roughly divided by two...that's still a lot of F-bombs)

Jet: Oh my sweet, loveable, fucked-up jet. You just sit there and remain gorgeous, okay?

I love me some smut. And I never used to understand reviews that said "There was too much sex" when it's erotica/steamy romance that they're reading. But I get it now. The sex scenes started out scorching hot. But eventually, I got bored. It felt repetitive and I'm like "I've read this already. NEXT" The sex took up the majority of the story, leaving less word count for actual character depth.

On a positive side, I enjoyed the read, and finished it in less than a day.

I hate reading other reviews (such as I have on this book) and see "The guys are just using her as a beard because they're obviously gay"... Hey, ignorant assholes, bisexuality is real, and so is polyamorous relationships. Deal with it.

Annnnnd I think that's all of my thoughts. Ever. It's late at night and my brain is mush.

OOOH WAIT, I remember thinking about the plausibility of some things but wrote them off as hey, it's fiction. whatevs. But why would anyone need a GED to work in RETAIL? Really? PFFFFFT.

Okay. Now I'm done.

I was so shocked by how much I enjoyed this book. its not only hot as heck but its funny, sweet, and really well written. there were some moments that I had wished were a little more developed but over all super good read. The men were faithful to each other and our h which is always a win! I would have liked to see more of the guys they had such a strange relationship that it would have been sweet to dive a littler deeper. but if your looking for a solid ménage...def pick this up be mindful that there is yummy mm scenes and if its not your thing go ahead and pass. :)

If I'm completely honest, the only reason I picked up this book is because MMF releases are as rare as February 29th. I regretted my decision as soon as I started reading.

The first issue I have with the book is the fanfic. I love fanfics, I binge-read them for years. However, I am strongly against real person fanfictions. I think they cross the line into sexual harassment, amongst other things. The main character, Candy, writes smut starring a guy she was in lust with in college, his best friend and herself for her blog. It's creepy.

The book is also cluttered with unnecessary and/or lazy elements.
1) The fanfic snippets. They were a pain in the ass to read. I suppose a fanfic becoming a reality is appealing to RPF writers and readers, but it didn't add anything to the story.
2) The stressors : the secret fanfic, the family drama, the high school diploma, the internalized homophobia and the college sex scandal. I can't believe we only got a half-hearted conflict that ended as soon as .
3) The sexual dysfunction. What a lazy way to accelerate things! As far as I remember, it is also left unresolved.

The writing itself is another big one. It's pretty awful and immature. There are many inconsistencies too. And a few sentences that are unexplainable and creepy (ex: )

I did enjoyed a few sex scenes and a cute scene or two, but it's mostly a poorly constructed mess.

Oh. My. GOD.

Ladies, be sure to have a few extra pair of panties on hand before you start this book. You're gonna need them!

Candy has a vivid imagination and a healthy sexual appetite - so when she first saw Joel and his friend Jethro a few years ago, they unknowingly became participants in the serial blog she was writing. And this wasn't just any blog. It was steamy. Sensual. Taboo. It was every filthy fantasy that she's ever had.

Until she meets them face to face and realizes that her fantasies weren't too far from the truth, and they didn't even BEGIN to scratch the surface.

Anyone who reads my reviews should know by now that I'm a huge fan of Jo Raven's books, so when I found out that she was working on this project, I *may* have squealed like a crazy fangirl. This book pushes the boundaries of Jo's talent completely beyond what even I could've guessed. I can imagine that she took a huge risk in writing outside her "traditional" genre - and it paid off in spades. I can easily say that this is my new favorite book of hers. The characters were not only believable, they were relatable. They also had a tangible connection, and the story grabbed me from the very first page. Honestly, I actually wouldn't mind reading a sequel to this; now that I think about it. (Hint hint)

Bravo, Ms. Raven. This book was epic.

This book needs some serious editing. The blurb sounded interesting, but the story did not pull me in.

There were too many things going on: the fanfic, the family drama (murder and the police closes the file?), the non existent high school diploma, the internalized homophobia (my son is no faggot), the college sex scandal (just a foto, really?), the sexual dysfunction (where did it come from?), but what irritated me most were the sloppy written sex scenes: Candy sits on Jet’s lap impaled on his c**k, Joel sits behind Jet, and inserts his c**k into Jet. How do you do that to someone sitting on his butt? There were more scenes where they had to be contortionists to execute the described movements.
Jet has an intense headache and nearly faints, some banging cures it….??? More headache and Candy diagnoses him with dyslexia and ADHS, none of those deseases cause headaches.

I agree with Audrey: it's mostly a poorly constructed mess.

The additional book starting around 57% was even worse and I stopped reading after chapter 2.

This is a really good ménage book it's slightly different in that the two men aren't in a romantic relationship but have s deep friendship. Candy comes into their lives and it stirs feelings in both Joel and Jethro. I loved the gradually awakening of the guys it's done slowly and sensitively their scenes are tender loving and sensual and when you through Candy into the mix they are hot hot hot. Great story.

Amazing! 5 Super Sexy, I'm so damn jealous Stars!!!
*I received and ARC from the author for an honest review*

And a Hell Yeah goes out to my girl Jo Raven!

I don't know how to put into words how excited I get when Jo releases a book. I really don't! And her latest, "Candy Boys" was absolutely amazing! I chewed off four finger nails reading this one. Hot damn!! I have never been disappointed in one of her books, ever!

"Candy Boys" is a spin off from "Micah" her Damage Control series. If you haven't read those, or anything else by Jo, you are seriously missing out. Let me say it now to all my friends....you must put this on your TBR and read it ASAP. I promise you won't be disappointed! So as I started to say, this book features a MMF. Joel, Jethro (Jet) and Candy. The Blurb says a lot so I won't repeat any of that.

Joel...Oh sweet, sexy Joel! He was beautiful. Inside and out. Loyal and caring, selfless and considerate. He put his own issues aside to be there for his friends. Joel appeared one way to people but he was so more more than the hot, sexy man all the girls lusted after. He was a beautiful and complex character. And Joe did a perfect job of developing his character. Not only was I in love, I was so proud of him. God, why can't these men be real!?

Jet....He was even more complex than Joel but no less in personality or looks. This man would do anything for you should you be lucky enough for him to call you "friend." Yeah, I'd like to call him more. :) Jet had issues as well as Joel, however his were darker. Sorry I want to, but I can't say more. This is one story that the slightest spoiler will ruin it for you. Trust me on this!

Candy...What a funny, funny girl. She was well developed but not as complex. She was the light to the dark. I laughed aloud many times because of her. Some of the things she said were damn funny. And her mom...don't even let me go there! There were many funny moments (as well as heartbreaking) in this book. Candy, as you know from the Blurb has lusted after Joel and Jet for years and never thought she would ever meet them. And if she believed she would ever be lucky enough to actually come face to face with them; you can be sure she never expected that they would want her too. And when they were together, nothing was like she thought. Not in her wildest fantasies could she have imagined the real Joel and Jet.

Although there were many things to laugh about, there was a suspense in the background that kept me on my toes. There were parts of this story that were lighthearted and fun but there were some sad and dark ones too. Jo Raven did a spectacular job with balancing all the many emotions floating around. Jo's writing is something that has appealed to me from her first novel. And I have read them all, with several re-reads. She always brings out all the "feels" in me. Her stories are not popcorn and bubblegum. They are tense, emotional, exciting, and sexy with the perfect amount of angst. Her novels all have HEAs. And I can assure you with those HEAs come relief and complete satisfaction for me as a reader.

So I will repeat myself, please do yourself a favor and add this book. I promise if your are not a fan of Jo's, you soon will be.

Two more book boyfriends to add to my list!!

Title: Candy Boys
Author: Jo Raven
Series: standalone spin-off of Micah
Genre: erotic romance
Themes: menage
Heat: 4/5
Rating: 4/5

How does one go back to writing a story when reality is so much better?

I found this to be a wonderfully refreshing deviation from Raven's typical work. She tends to have a particular formula used in many of her other books, yet this one, whilst maintaining aspects of this, manages to come out and be her strongest release yet.

I thought it was an interesting take on the menage theme to have one member having to work on accepting his sexuality, whereas the norm tends to focus on the acceptability of the three-way aspect. Similarly, I really liked the characterisation of Candy, a book blogger nerd, confident in her sexuality and sexual interests (if not a little stalkerish).

More than that, this was funny. Not laugh-out-loud and snort-out-of-your-nose funny, but funny enough to put a smirk on my face for much of the first part. It did get a little more serious towards the end, with Jet taking the role of the typical Raven hero, a guy with a dark past who finds comfort and hope in love. Although I have to admit I started finding this formula slightly irritating, here it works well because it is balanced perfectly by Joel's character and his own angst and difficulty with self-acceptance.

Does taking it in the ass constitute the foundation of a steady relationship?

It wasn't perfect, however. Much as I liked Candy's characterisation and strength, I found her narrative voice a little irritating, particularly when name-dropping romance authors for no apparent reason, and calling her vagina a "kitty". I couldn't quite get past that one. Similarly, there were maybe a few too many things going on here, each person having their own angst and background, with the drama maybe a little forced, particularly with Joel.

I like them curvy. I like them sweet. I like girls who like sex and can tell me what they want, so I can give it to them deep and hard.

Despite its flaws, this was a fun, steamy ride, and a very promising new direction for Jo Raven. I hope she branches out more into the romantic comedy genre in future.

I received this book as an ARC for an honest review.

In this book we meet Candace, Jethro Connors, and Joel Kingsley. Candace has been lusting after these men for years now but they have no clue that she even exists. So when Jared comes into the bookstore one day and he hears what she believes is what he really thinks about her she thinks her ultimate fantasy is about to go down the drain. Well if she can’t have both can she have at least one she wonders? She then hears that Jared will be at a concert that her roommate is demanding that she attend and she thinks she will take this chance. What happens though when what she believes about these men isn’t the whole story will she run for the hills or will she stay and fight to make her fantasy a reality?

Joel and Jethro have been best friends and roommates for years now so they think nothing can tear them apart. What if their wrong though and the secrets that they are carrying will either be the ultimate end to their relationship or will be the tie that will make them unbreakable. Also what happens when both men are lusting after the same woman can they make this work or will they all be disappointed in the end?

This is an amazing book full of twists and turns you aren’t sure who is keeping what secret and will it come out? When it does will it be the end of this threesome or just the beginning. There is so much I want to tell you but do not want to ruin it for any of the readers. I will say this is an amazingly hot book that will have you on the edge of your seat from the first word to the very end. This book will have you sending the kids away, locking the door and making sure the only interruptions you have are the ones you make yourself. I would recommend this book to anyone and everyone.

3.25 stars. This was an okay read. There were parts I liked and parts I didn't like as much. This was Candy, Joel, and Jet/Jethro's book. Candy is a book blogger and reviewer who works in a bookstore. She has crushed on Joel and Jethro from afar for years. They are hot best friends that went to her college. She liked them so much that she made up sexy stories about being in menage relationship with them and posted them (as fiction) on her blog, Candy Boys. But her fiction starts to come true when Joel walks into her bookstore and asks her out. Then she meets Jethro at a concert and he is interested in her as well. She likes them both and neither of the men want to hurt each other so they both step aside for the other. Candy manages to convince them to give a relationship between the three of them a try.

I liked Candy, Joel and Jet/Jethro as characters. The sexy times between them in this book were hot with a capital H! I just found them not very believable as a long term threesome. Joel and Jet had been best friends and roommates for years. They were pretty much a couple without benefits. They were attracted to each other but never acted on it until Candy came along (and encouraged it). Once they admitted to themselves they were into each other sexually, they were all in with each other. I felt like they loved each other. I did not feel like they loved Candy. I think they were attracted to her and liked her as a person. They claimed they loved her and needed her, but I just didn't buy it. But I didn't feel like they needed her as a part of their relationship. They had sexy time alone, but neither of them had sexy time with Candy alone. I felt bad for Candy because I think she loved them, but their Joel and Jethro's relationship was already very deep and I didn't feel like she could compete. I couldn't see her as part of their relationship long term. Overall, I did enjoy the book if I didn't look too deeply. I liked the story in general, especially Candy being a blogger and reviewer who worked in a bookstore. The writing was not bad and was light and easy. This was my first read by Jo Raven and I will probably read more from her in the future.

I love a well-written menage and I get especially excited when it happens to be a m/m/f menage. Taking this into account, Candy Boys by Jo Raven was a perfect book for me and I was very excited to read it.

Candy is the nerdy, girl next store who hides a very vivid fantasy life that she lets run amuck on her serial blog. A large section of her fantasies involve her sexy next-door neighbors, Joel and Jethro. Joel and Jethro are best friends and since she's pretty sure they have no idea she even exists she figures there is no harm in watching them and letting her mind go wild imagining the three of them tangled up in every position imaginable.

When she and Joel have a run in where she works, things take an unexpected turn and she decides to take a chance and go for it. Joel, is definitely interested, but is also trying to deal with the feelings he has secretly been harboring for his best friend and roommate, Jethro. Then Jethro and Candy meet and things really start to get interesting.

I really loved the characters in this story. Candy was a really fun character. I loved how she was outwardly shy and nerdy, but also had such a filthy mind! She was a tiny bit immature, but it worked in the context of this story. Joel was such a fabulous character. He is caring, selfless and everything you want in a boyfriend. He was surprisingly complex with some interesting backstory that made him the complicated and interesting character who I fell in love with. The character who completely stole my heart though was Jet. He had a dark and complicated past and was hiding things that made my heart break for him. These three were so perfect for each other! A very well written menage that I recommend to anyone who loves reading them!

I shouldn’t have went back and read the end again, I have this book a worse star rating by going back. It was weird and confusing by the end. Plot points were resolved in weird ways that didn’t make much sense to me. I plan to listen to the second one next, hoping it gives a better ending for Candy and her boys

5+ smokin hot stars!
I just LOVE Menage a trois books. Fact. Even better when it's m/m/f and one of the men are in denial!
This is an extremely H.O.T story. I was a bit 'meh' at the beginning of the story, but was quickly sucked in.
I was panting like a horny teenager and having to stop reading to calm down a bit. Well written and an absorbing love story. Made my heart go boom. I even put my kindle down three chapters from the end because I didn't want it to end. This is a seriously sexy, red hot, MUST read story.
Candy has had a crush on best friends, Joel and Jethro, for a couple of years, she fantasises about the two of them together, with her. So much so that she has a blog that she writes about her fictional relationship with these sexy men. Joel sees nerdy Candy and something sparks in him. He is fighting his feelings for his best friend, jethro (Jet) and boy does this make things hot!
Candy meets Jet and he likes her too. They awkwardly get to know her and things start to get even hotter.
Seriously, you need to read this book.
