One year ago, Robyn Locksley was brought to Myst, a realm of swords and sorcery, to save the city of Nottingham from a great evil. Lives were lost and hearts were broken, but the war is finally over. Joined by Marian Quin--a witch, who has up until now, only known the ways of Myst--Robyn returns home to New York City, ready to begin a new chapter in her life.
As Robyn and Marian continue to investigate strange cases in Manhattan, they inadvertently draw the attention of those who operate in the darkest corners of the city. Vampires, succubi, sadistic assassins, crazed witches, and possessed rock stars are just the start of Robyn's problems when the Cabal--a secret cult of powerful individuals--realizes that she poses a threat to their sinister goals.
PAT SHAND writes comic books (Robyn Hood, Family Pets, Charmed, Angel) and pop culture journalism (Sad Girls Guide, Blastoff Comics). He lives in San Diego with his girlfriend and their veritable zoo of cats.
This is volume three of the excellent Robyn Hood series. In this series Robyn and Marian battle vampires, possessed rock star, and Krampus. This book also digs deeper into Robyn and Officer Julia Gengrich past.
The art is really good. The only complaint I have is that the second to last story ends on a cliff hanger and the last story does not continue the story arc. However, it is an entertaining Christmas story.
Enjoyable third collection of Robyn Hood and Marian Quin along with some assistance from among others, The Rotter and Liesel Van Helsing. Cover to cover action involving witchcraft, vampires and even Krampus. Crisply written dialog and awesome illustrations. Very highly recommended.
