She wants him, even for a moment. He wants her… for a lifetime.
At Darkest Dreams, a club for people with certain tastes, Avery watches the mysterious Master Dominic. She wants him, but there is no way she can have him. He’s so far out of her league, and he probably doesn’t even know her name.
Dominic warns stay away from Avery. She belongs to him, and him alone. The club’s other Doms, however, issue an take her now or lose her. So he offers her a relationship contract they can both enjoy.
Neither Avery nor Dominic want a relationship on paper. The chemistry between them is too strong. Can they survive the changes in their relationship? Or will Avery run away when the truth about Dominic comes out?
Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound. She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.
>This novella is a standalone story with an HEA. Avery and her friend discover a BDSM club, but Avery is too unsure of herself to do anything other than watch for a year. She is infatuated by one of the Doms, Dominic. Turns out Dominic has requested all Doms stay away from Avery so he can claim her himself. Their journey is very romantic. Dominic teaches Avery to lover her curves as he does. Avery is not affected by Dominic’s wealth and is actually uncomfortable with the extravagant gifts he gives her.
>I enjoyed the romance and love that Dominic showed to Avery. His wanting to begin their relationship in private showed how special he considered her. I wish there were scenes in the club between Dominic and Avery eventually. Dominic says he hadn’t had sex in the year Avery was at the club. I was confused by this. All he did at the club was spank subs? No happy endings? The BDSM is in conjunction with sex in everything I’ve read, so Dominic’s lack of sex makes no sense.
>There were multiple instances where the incorrect word was used. These errors would not have been flagged in a spell check; for example, the word “to” is used instead of “of”. In two instances, words were missing altogether. Proof reading something out loud usually catches a lot of these types of errors.
>This story is appropriate for an adult audience. I am giving the story 3 stars, due to errors and an incomplete story. I was constantly pulled out of the story when the proof reading errors would occur. The story was very good, but there were scenes missing, like anything between Avery and Dominic at the club, that would show how they’ve meshed together as a couple. I am a reviewer for Romance Authors that Rock.
I liked this short story but at times, it felt rushed—relationship-wise—so I had a trouble to keep up. The sex scenes were incredibly steamy, though, and I could easily forget this issue.

I enjoyed this short story. It was about two people who both had to put themselves out there to trust their hearts and lives to someone else!
Avery has been visiting Darkest Dream for a while now, and there was one person that she had her eyes on. But she figured that he wouldn't be interested in someone like her.
What Avery didn't know as that Master Dominic noticed her from the first time she started visiting the club and he wanted her. But he wasn't ready to claim her yet. So he warned all the other Doms to stay away from Avery until he was ready. But the Doms was tired of waiting and he either had to claim her now or watch as one of the others claimed her.
I loved the chemistry between these two but also loved how Dominic took his time with Avery and waited until she was ready and then all he did was show her how good it could be between them
Even though this was a short story, it was a good read for me. Definitely want to read the rest in this series!
I really enjoyed this book. Coming out of your comfort zone to try new things and learn a bit about yourself is great. To find all of this and your soul mate as well is absolutely incredible and so wonderfully life-changing. That is what I read here anyway. Loved . It .
Yet another great read by Sam Crescent! I just absolutely loved this book! I can't wait to read what she will come out with next. A definite must read!! Happy Reading!!!! :)
Well, to begin, this novel was most assuredly not what I expected. With that said, I found myself deeply interested in the concept of Darkest Dreams, not to mention the characters. I loved Avery and Dominic, and watching as they learn their deepest desires. The story moves fast, but not too fast to keep up. All told, I found this novel to be a little short, but perfect for the story. I will say that it is a scorcher! I did voluntarily read and review an Advance Reader Copy of this novel.
