Red Havoc Panthers #2

Red Havoc Rebel

Rate this book
Kaylee Cummings is back in Covington to change her destiny. She used to be known as the town rich girl, misunderstood by everyone but one boy, Anson Carter. They’d loved hard, and then destroyed each other in their youth, so when she crashes into him again, the residual anger from what he’d done comes back ten-fold. All she has to do is stay far away from him, and follow through with her plan to change her life, but he’s reminding her exactly why she fell for him when they were teenagers. That panther shifter is trouble with a capital T, but she can’t seem to keep away from him. And he seems to be having the same problem staying away from her. Too bad what she’s really in town for could destroy them both if they aren’t careful.

Anson Carter never moved on from Kaylee. How could he? He’d picked her when they were seventeen, and then given everything for her, only to be betrayed. Now, all he can hope is to find peace in the Appalachian Mountains with a misfit, moonshiner crew of reclusive panther shifters. But when Kaylee blows back in town, his anger is hard to keep. She’s so different now, and her many secrets only make him more curious about the beautiful human he used to know. He’s drawn to her, but she’s back in their hometown for reasons that could get him and his Red Havoc Crew killed. Anson must make a choice—the girl he used to love, or the safety of the crew he’s grown to trust.

The thing with heroine's mom really threw me off completely. Who does that to their child? I mean let them walk around in raggedy hole in the knee jeans and drive a broke down truck and I have luxury cars in my garage...not car....cars, there was no explanation for it. I understand having pride, but this didn't seem to be the case... It was too weird. What was up with the prior relationship? You love a shifter and go away with him, but he doesn't turn you or mark you? There were just too many unanswered questions by the end of the book for me to to truly enjoy it.

Well T.S Joyce did it again, what can I say. Her book had me hooked from the moment when I started reading to the last page and then back again, just to make sure I did not miss anything.
Kaylee is back in Covington to change her life, at one point she was know as the rich girl, yet no one really knew her like Anson, her first love?
They loved and crashed and burned, was it the end though, 10 long years are they apart until she comes back and she crashes into him once more.
Both however do not seem to be able to stay away from each other. She betrayed him once will she do it again, He wants her and the anger he feels towards her is hard to keep and he keeps drawing closer and closer to her.
She has changed over the years she was gone and the her many secrets only draw him even closer to her as he wants to find out what makes her tick .
Will her secrets keep them apart or will they draw them closer to each other. Ah to be back in the mountains and close to the other crews, but to find out what happens to Kaylee and Anson you will have to read the book, its a great story, flows well and there is plenty action and love and sex for those who read it.
Thank you T.S. Joyce for a great book, a fantastic story

*WARNING* contains explicit adult love scenes
Anson is just as volatile as the rest of Red Havoc Crew. Anson is the one who carries many secrets and walks around in a cloud of misery.
Kaylee never thought she would end up back home in Covington, but this is what has to be done. Kaylee has to think of Bentley and he needs help.
I didn't much care for the Anson character at first, I never dreamed this would have been his story. I enjoyed the story and the journey taken with these characters. This story was an emotional one and made me shed some tears.

Too many things wrong in this book and lacking way to much information.
Why does Kaylee have no money? Her mother and grandmother have loads so she is not poor, no matter how much the ex ass of a husband took.
Where is the reasoning on why she married Noah? a LION shifter, after how she reacted to Anson’s panther.
Felt so sorry for Anson. He deserved way better than Kaylee as his mate but of course she gets instant forgiveness. Loved his interaction with Bentley though.
Kaylee basically ruined Anson and his family’s life when he was 17 by outing him as a shifter and calling him an animal.
Then compounds her betrayal by MARRYING a lion shifter and having a child. She is just weak and untrustworthy.
I knew Ben and Jenny’s story from prior reading and really wanted more from this series but didn't like previous book or this one.
Read through Kindle Unlimited.

Red Havoc Rebel by T.S Joyce was a cute second chance romance.

Kaylee and Anson dated their senior year of high school. Everything was going great until the biggest misunderstanding happened and had caused Kaylee to betray him.

Years later Kaylee is back and has a son to protect. On her way to meet up with a man, she is arranged to be with, she crashes her car into none other then Anson. Tension is at a high between them as old feelings resurface. But the more they hang out, the more the bond that formed years ago grows stronger. Making her decision about what's best for her son ten times harder.

Will she make the right choice, or is she destined to betray him again??

DAMON’S MOUNTAINS SERIES REVIEW

I wasn’t planning on reviewing these books at all, but given the fact that I’ve been completely OBSESSED with them for the past month, it feels wrong not to write somthing. So in the end I decided to write a general series-wide review that I’ll put up on each book—that’s right, all 48—because that’s how much fun I’ve had reading these.

Let’s do this.

OKAY listen. These books are straight up trash. They are. Romance drama trash to the max. But there’s no denying how freaking entertaining these things are. They’re hilariously funny, extremely cute, filled with action (some more than others), and packed with grade-A soap opera drama. Some of the novels are better than others, but if you need to go brainless for a while and just read something fun, these are the books you need.

All the characters are out-of-this world awesome, but the real thing that sets this series apart is the world building. Joyce has created such an elaborately rich universe with all these characters and I am 100% here for it. I love love love how everything overlaps and that we get to see all of our favorite characters even long after their books are done.

To help keep everyone straight, I even created a family tree spreadsheet like a NERD (Willa would be so proud) which you can view here. Just beware of spoilers.

Nerd alert!

FINAL WORD

These books are insane trash and I’ve loved every second. If you’re needing some laughs and romance, look no farther my friends. It’s worth the Amazon Kindle Unlimited free trial just to get your hands on these.

I will get you a highlight from the book. That means big responsibility. It means you have to stay good, take care of your friends, your family, and your crew, right?” “Yes. I take care of Mom and Anson and Raif all the time.” “And I take care of him,” Raif said solemnly. “Good,” Kane said with a nod. “Mom,” Bentley whispered, twisting around. “Can Dark Kane stay for cake?” She laughed, wrapped her arms around Anson’s waist, and nodded. “It’s fine with me.” Thank you, she mouthed to Kane, who gave her a wink and stood, ruffled Bentley’s hair, and then made his way to Ben. “Good to see you again, old friend,” Kane rumbled. She’d never seen Ben look emotional, but right now, he swallowed a few times and nodded for a while before he pulled Kane in for a mannish hug, clapping him hard enough on the back that the sound echoed through the clearing. It was chaos after that as the Red Havoc Crew collided with the Blackwing crew, talking and grinning, passing out beers, the murmur of hellos rivaling the sound of her pounding heartbeat. She was so excited to show Jenny and Annalise the ring Anson had given her, but right now she just wanted to keep this moment to themselves. Anson was staring down at her with this awed look on his face.

This is the second book in this spin off series. This book focuses on Anson from the Red Havoc crew and his mate, Kaylee. I must say I have loved all the books I have read by T.S. Joyce so far and this one was no different. Anson and Kaylee were together for a short time while they were high school and then things went tragically wrong for both of them. Turns out things haven’t gotten better for either of them in that time apart. Now could they have a chance at something again. Kaylee is in a difficult situation. Her life hasn’t been easy she is broken in a way and is trying to do what is best and for once it isn’t what is best for her but for someone else. Anson wants to be made at Kaylee for what she did all those years ago but after spending time with her he is finding that hard to do. How will he react when he learns why Kaylee has come and who she is trying to protect? This story was fantastic. It is a second chance romance. Kaylee changes during the book and makes amends for things she did all those years ago. But she brings trouble with her. She doesn’t mean to but she does. She is so strong when she needs to be and is perfect for Anson of course. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series.

Another cute shift story. After breaking each other hearts Kaylee and Anson reunited. After being mean to each other for awhile they finally let loose and started to gain feeling for one another. But after Kaylee told Arson about what was hers to protect he was furious because of what she did back then to him. But Kaylee has changed all those years when she left Covington she's been through a lot and dealt with plenty of things. Anson was about to look pasted it but he knew it wasn't going to be easy to protect what he now called his. He knew Arden wanted Kaylee and her precious gem to make his pack stronger and to center the bacholer lions because thats what he and his lions needed. Arden claimed her and her gem as his before she even made a decision on what she was going to do, but he didn't care what Kaylee wanted. He was going to get it one way or another, but Arson wasn't going to let anything bad happen to them because they were his to protect and he would die doing it.

Sometimes Home Is Where You Were Always Meant To Be

This is the 2nd book telling the tales of the Red Havoc crew (and should be read after the first b/c the shifters and crew dynamics stem from there). T.S. gives us Anson and Kaylee’s story in Red Havoc Rebel. They were childhood sweethearts senior year in high school, but a big misunderstanding and betrayal drove them apart. Ten years later Kaylee is back in her hometown looking for some stability with a surprise of her own. But, maybe what she really needs was right in front of her all along. Can she let down her guard enough to see that Anson was the ONE all along? Can Anson trust that Kaylee will not run from him a second time? Because if she runs again he fears he will never get past it. T.S. drew me into this story like she has all her others and I didn’t want it to end. But, I guess it won’t b/c I am going to jump right into book 3-LOL. I highly recommend you one-click this book!

I was all over the place with this one. It started out as just meh for me, didn't really care for the set up of sort of ex's/mean girl/boy from wrong side of the tracks. It got slightly interesting when Kaylee's secret came out. Her motivations more understandable in the present, but her actions in the past were more heinous. Sure we find out later she was just venting to a friend, but it was the wrong friend to vent to as the damage was done and Anson and his family had to live with things.

Anson was meh for me for most of the book and I'm not sure why. I didn't really start to like him until he met Kaylee's family and showed that who they were didn't matter, they belonged to him once Kaylee was his too.

The battle was a bit crazy, but needed to happen. I loved that the Red Havoc crew took care of things in a viscous way. It made the ending all the more sweeter, especially with a visit from the Blackwings.

Holes

Kaylee and Benson needed more. As a couple their second act was good.
Felt like the past history could have been condensed and her ex Dunn leaving with all her money? Didn’t buy it or what kind of career? Life she had in NY or wherever she was living.
Didn’t buy that she would be broke. Her Mother is well off and I am assuming; since there was no mention after the divorce, her father would have helped her, not to mention the beloved grandparents briefly mentioned but not explained where they are currently.
One thing I felt was missing from this book and most of the others I read by Author is the human family members. Yes some previous books I understand because of the shifters they wouldn’t be involved. But this one, her Mother (lonely and shy) would not mis her grandson’s or her daughters big moments.
Really needed another blunt reviewer to point out the missing pieces.
Still recommend reading it, even with them it was a good story. Love the crew.

Yay book 2! Seems like forever since the first one released. :) Okay since its a new release I wont ruin it by putting spoilers in it! There have been a lot of that going around lately and readers reading reviews getting disappointed at everything being revealed. So...I'll try and not do that!

This was heartbreaking and quite the complicated story between Anson and Kaylee. They both felt betrayed when they were just teenagers. They were in love and just tragic with what happened. Kaylee is back and its not the reunion dreams are made of. She's back for a reason and seeing Anson causes anger and heartache on both ends. Can these 2 get past their anger and hurt to move on and let each other in? Will Kaylee choose Anson or will the reason she's really back put a roadblock up between the 2 lovers?

Love makes a home

It's hard to find a better example than this. Anson has loved Kaylee since they were teenagers, he bonded with her and knew she was his mate. But teenagers aren't always rational and Kaylee and Anson ended up enemies.
Now fate has brought them back together and Anson will have to accept another man's cub as his own if he and Kaylee are going to get back together.
T.S. Joyce has once again wrote a story that let's us glimpse a community held together by what makes them different and love. I love the fact that she intertwines their lives together, 1010, Beaston's cameo, Kane's cameo. They may each be from a different crew but they are all have each other's backs when they're needed. Very few author's write romance, action, and community and do it this well.

4 1/2 stars!

Contains subject matter that may be a trigger or offensive to some including adult language, steamy intimate scenes and violence.

While this could be read as a stand-alone, I highly recommend reading in order for maximum reader satisfaction and to prevent spoilers.

Ansen and Kaylee’s story was nostalgic for me, as they were each other’s first love. Unfortunately things happened that caused them to separate. Fast forward 10 years and Ansen is having a horrible day that gets worse when he is hit by Kaylee when he pulls out in front of her.

Kaylee grew up sheltered and wealthy, but since she left her life has not been easy. She only has a day or so before she needs to make a life altering decision. Was running into Ansen, literally, a sign that she should reconsider?

Kaylee was misunderstood growing up. Anson had to hide what he was. When they were teenagers they loved hard, but now years later they must face their pasts, to look towards the future. Will Anson be able to protect Kaylee? Will Kaylee and Anson be able to get their happy ever after?

Loved these two! Out of all the panthers, Anson was probably my favorite other than Jenny in the first book. I loved how both talked about what happened in the past and didn't let it linger for TO long after they had been reunited. Anson stepping up to the plate immediately was a big character star for him. How Kaylee was determined to do right by Anson and Bentley before it was to late, proved what kind of mother she was. Excellent book and cannot wait to read the next!

Red Havoc Rebel Yes!!!!

Another great story from T.S. Joyce. Absolutely loved Anson and Kaylee's story. This is a second chance story, Anson bonded with Kaylee at a young age but Kaylee wasn't ready to accept the real Anson. Years later fate will step in and place them on the same path to give them a second chance they just have to take it. Joyce gives us a glimpse of some of my favorite characters from previous series such as Kane the Blackwing Dragon, Beast the lion from Kane's crew and Beaston will also pop up and the author will give us glimpse of what might come in the way of future books. It would be wonderful if Joyce did a series of 3rd generation from the Crews of Damon's Mountain.
Happy Reading!!!!!

Red Havoc Rebel is the second book in this series. This is Anson’s book.

Anson is a panther shifter and member of the Red Havoc Crew. Kaylee was his girlfriend in high school until she broke his heart and betrayed him. Ten years later Kaylee is back and has a secret. A secret that changes all their lives forever.

I really liked Anson. He was a sweet and caring man. Kaylee does not make a good first impression and I had difficulty liking her once I learned what she did to Anson those years earlier. Her reason was pretty pathetic and it took me a little time to decide I liked her. But she grew on me and made the perfect mate for Anson.

Bentley was a cutie and I really liked the scene with he and Kane.

This is a second chance romance- I am usually not a fan but this one got to me. I loved their little glimpses into their youth. Then recreated in their adulthood. Anson is so sweet. Kaylee did a huge disservice to him but he still could never let her go. Kaylee only came back because she needed to fix a problem she is having. Fate decides to step in between Anson and her....well maybe Beaston too.

This is a book that I could NOT figure out the ending. Well I hoped they would end up together but I was surprised and shocked at what happened. Bentley is just the cutest little guy! When they went muddin’. That whole scene is filled with adorableness. Even adding in Barrett’s crazy words and actions. I loved it!

Not going to lie, I kind of wish the lion she was supposed to get with would have gotten his own story. Gotta love the grumpy ones. I really wanted a female to knock him down a few pegs, but it's fine. I loved Anson with Kaylee, I just didn't care for the back story. The relationship with the mother confused me. At one point I thought she didn't like Kaylee with a shifter and didn't like her grandson because he was born a shifter, but at the same time she was living wither her and letting her borrow things. It basically felt like the mothers mindset was "I'll help you because you're my daughter, but it will be the bare minimum." Other than that, I really enjoyed this one and Noah was freaking adorable!
