With the dust of her last case finally settling, Darcey is left to pick up the pieces of her life. The disappearance of her sexy ex-god boss, Lunn, means the banshee is free of the Faerie Court and their bounties. But freedom comes at a cost and Darcey is left wondering if there is more to Lunn’s disappearance than meets the eye?

When a hot and hunky werewolf turns up on Darcey’s doorstep seeking help, she firmly reminds him that banshees and werewolves don’t mix. But with a sickness affecting all the werewolves in the city, threatening to turn them all into blood-thirsty monsters by the Huntress Moon, she is forced to take the case.

With the clock ticking down to the Huntress Moon and the sickness growing stronger with every second, Darcey must find a way to prevent everyone, including herself from becoming werewolf kibble.

* A word of caution if you haven't read the first book - there may be spoilers *

We follow Darcey after her first case where we met a dubious demon, a witch and some fae. Throw in a hot werewolf into the mix in this book and we're off to an interesting start.
We learn more of Darcey and what haunts her past and this creepy Mannan we read about in book one.
I have long waited for this second book and it does not disappoint. Author had me guessing and anxious quite a few times. Darcey, our MC is brilliantly written and you absolutely feel invested in what happens to her and her friends. As with the previous book, it does not end on a cliff-hanger - thats said, this reader can't wait to see what comes up next for Darcey and her friends in book 3!
I thoroughly enjoy reading Bilinda's books - she creates well-rounded characters and her world-building is perfect.
Not to mention, I love the little ball of marmalade to bits!!

This series include three love interests, none of whom are particularly well fleshed out or have any real chemistry with Darcey. I like Lunn as, while he's still underdeveloped, he has the potential to be a badass. (He's also the reason why I started reading the series.)

While I don't actively seek them out, I tolerate love triangles/love dramas if they're well done. In this case, it's not. It feels forced, particularly with Darcey's lack of awareness regarding the three men vying for her affections. (She's believes to have one love interest) She's supposedly a PI, an occupation where you learn to read people, and it just doesn't make sense to me. :/

Great continuation into the series

This was a really good series when I read the first book, but the second book is even better. I really can't wait for the third book and keep wondering where I it may lead. Some books you can guess where the author is leading you and in this book I could guess a few, but it had a lot of twists and turns I didn't see coming. I loved the new character Byron and I hope to see more of him and Lucy in future books. This series is definitely worth reading.

I'm confused what to rate this.. the book wasn't bad so I feel bad giving it 2 stars.. but Darcy is just so stupid! Why would she even go to the vampire queen like nothing would happen?! She jjst waltz right in without any plan.. why did she even go? I feel like that was just there to have something to continue the story with..
And i'm so confused about the guys.. who the hell is she gonna be with? There doesn't seem to be a love rivalry.. the book isn't a reverse harem.. and whats with the demon?

(Sigh)

I guess i'll settle for 3 stars.. 🤷‍♀️

WOW! This follow-up to the first book completely blew me away! There wasn't as much focus on Mannan as I expected, but the werewolf tie-in to the Fae-world was exciting to learn about! I look forward to seeing what happens next in supernatural relations and Mannan!

I cant get enough of this series! You bever know what Darvy is going to do next. Plus throw a sexy Werewolf in the mix. Banshees are such complicated creatures. Bilinda Sheehan is an amazing author.

I really want to like the series but Darcey is hard to root for. It seems like she boosts about her power or the strength of her wards at least every other chapter, and it doesn't match to reality. Enemies are constantly getting through her wards and usually kicking her ass.
