Rate this book
For a long time, Melissa and Pea enjoyed the pleasures of an open relationship. They have found a life that brings them together. They are friends, lovers, along with being husband and wife, and now they’ve agreed to be faithful!

Mel is pregnant. Her relationship with Pea is in new territory, and she’s scared. They’ve promised to be together, but does that involve children?

Pea is completely, totally in love with Mel. He’ll do anything for her. Their marriage has taken them to places he never thought possible. The other women are gone, and he doesn’t miss them. There’s only one woman he wants in his arms, in his bed, and that’s Mel. He knows her, and above everything else, he loves her. He wants a family, a big one, with Mel, and he knows they’re going to make amazing parents.

Everything is working out for them, a healthy pregnancy, their marriage—what could possibly go wrong?

But nothing is ever perfect. There’s danger lurking in Sinners’ Corner, and when Mel is caught in the crossfire, can Pea get to her in time?

Sam Crescent is passionate about fiction. She loves a good erotic romance and so it only made sense for her to spread her wings and start writing. She began writing in 2009 and finally got that first acceptance in 2011 by Total-E-Bound.
She loved creating new characters and delving into the worlds that she creates. When she’s not panicking about a story or arguing with a character, she can be found in her kitchen creating all kinds of havoc. Like her stories the creations in the kitchen can be just as dubious but sometimes things turn out great.

It wasn’t bad. I didn’t care for it before even starting this book as these were characters that were in an open relationship but in my opinion it was worse than that. In all the glimpses of this couple in the books leading up to theirs they were selfish and manipulative. Not horribly so but enough for me to not like them. They didn’t hurt others but they really weren’t lead romance worthy characters.

In this book the author basically tried to write them as having grown up enough to realize that they only wanted each other all along but at the same time had been sowing their oats while still being loyal and respectful of each other. In real life I totally respect that but in my escapist romance stories I absolutely do not want to read this nonsense. Smh. The author made them likable but she couldn’t really get them past their pasts in my opinion. To a certain degree they were a very rational couple. But it was too rational to then turn around and be passionate and dedicated to each other after years of not.

As for Ricky and Prue, I would love to see this couple in a book but it doesn’t look like that’s ever going to come and still I would hope it’s a standalone as this series was a sadly underwhelming series to be in. Otherwise, I’m done with this series and I hope it doesn’t continue on at a later date. Good luck.

Enlightening

I really enjoyed this book even more so than the last because of the relationship dynamic and character development. I knew from previous books in the series a lot of people in the club put down pea saying he's cheating and they assumed the open marriage was because of him. I'm so glad we discovered that in fact it was all Mel and that pea just wanted to make her happy, all I wish was that this would have been explained to the club especially penny as she always put pea down when In fact from day one all he's done is protect, provide, love and make Mel happy. unfortunately Mel is happy for people to continue to see her as the innocent party although everyone seems to forget that been out there sleeping with other men too. People saw their relationship as lacking love and faithfulness where in fact I think they are the strongest closest couple of them all as throughout the years they've been best friends and remained respectful to one another even with their unusual dynamic. I'm happy that the club is finally starting to see that pea and Mel have a long-lasting deep true love for one another. The only one that annoyed me was penny as even at the end of the book when pea was saving Mel she still questioned pea if he loved mel, which it was clear to everyone but her even though at that point they had been exclusively together for about a year. I hope the author fixes penny's attitude towards Mel and pea's relationship and her disrespect of pea in the next book as I think we are all getting fed up with her keep going on about it and hurting Mel's feelings she needs to grow up and apologise to pea and hopefully Mel and pea will tell the truth that their past was Mel's decision not his. Moving on I wonder if prue or Autumn will be next? I i wonder will the next lead male be Ricky, Willy or vanilla? I guess we will have to wait and see. Thanks for reading my scrambled thoughts:).

Pea and Melissa had an open marriage. They were free to do whatever they wanted.
I think there is some misunderstanding going on. I noticed a lot of people are saying that it's what Mel wanted and that is why Pea went along with it. My understanding is that Melissa was in a bad situation. Their parents had died and she was doing everything she could to keep a roof over her and Penny's head. The bills were piling up and she was sinking.
Pea was attracted to Mel when she started hanging out at the club. When she quit showing up he went to find out why and that's when he discovered her problem. He offered a solution to help her out.
This is just my take on it, but I think Pea loved her from the get go. I think Mel offered the open marriage because Pea got her out of a jam and she didn't want him to feel like he had to be faithful. If they both would have just tried having the relationship instead of assuming to give each other what they thought they wanted their marriage could have started off how it ended.
I could be totally wrong but that is how I'm going to look at it, that they sacrificed so that they could give each other what they thought the other wanted.
Would love to see more stories from the other secondary characters in this series.

I Voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book

When this series started I wanted this book and I wanted to know how Pea and Melissa's relationship worked.
But we found out that even though I know that most of us judged poor Pea for his man-whore ways, we didn't know about their agreement and why they got married.
I loved that they still had this attraction between them, and that in the end they wanted their marriage to work.
A lot of drama and teething problems as they had to learn how to do the whole marriage thing, but I liked that even thought they argued they still came back together and talked about their issues.

And man I want some more Big Rick!!!

I'm not a fan of open relationships. Personally I feel that's just an excuse to cheat without having consequences. However, I didn't realize that it was Mel that didn't want to settle down. When she and Pea got married it was more of an arrangement to help her out financially. That allowed her to take care of her sister. They were both with others throughout their marriage. An altercation in a previous book makes them realize they want their marriage to be a real one. This book starts off with them trying to make it work.

All through this series, Pea has bee the idiot the one who buggers up everything we see him in the worst light. Well until book 4 when you see a slight change and well you suddenly realise he is redeemable.

Know in book 5 we see a huge change he is still gruff alpha male but he is done with his idiot ways and is fully committed to his old lady Mel.

Mel has changed and so has Pea they are both working on their life together but that's about to change as a bundle of joy is on its way into the world.

Fantastic read Miss Crescent can do no wrong.

I'm glad they now agreed to be exclusive in their marriage and harbor no jealously toward their past cheating on each other. But, I really can't accept their undying love for each other, not since Pea had made it clear he wanted to screw her sister and didn't care who knew from book 1. Even when she found herself a man, that still didn't stop his desire for her...so... nope, too hard to believe...

Can't wait to read about Prue and possibly Big Ricky or will be Vanilla with Prue...hmm?

And, let's not forget possibly Autumn with William (Bradley)...in the near future...

Good story showing the real marriage

This was a good one to show the behind the scenes with their marriage. While this was of course a really good book, this isn't my cup of tea. A lot of people consider the H cheating but honestly i can agree that if they agreed to an open relationship its not cheating. Nut this kind of plot is not for me.
On the other hand, there are a lot of explanations and building of love and marriage and of course got some action in there!

Love realized

Pea and Mel have been married and in an open relationship for a while. So when they start to realize their feelings are changing they make a change to become exclusive. What Mel didn't expect was to become pregnant so quickly. Turning their whoring ways into faithfulness is now even crazier. But they will get through it because they really do love each other.

I wish there were more books in the series. I feel like there are loose ends.

This was a re-read for me. I had great memories of the book, but it was a bit of a let down this time around.

I really liked that they had started out in an open marriage, I felt it was going to make for a great and new plot. This was proven to be true, however there wasn’t as much focus on their relationship as I’d have liked. I see why the club drama was necessary for the overall series’ plot, but the story itself was short and therefore it was all a bit too crammed.

Another awesome book!!!!

I loved this book. From the first page to the last page. Pea and Mel are another fantastic couple that Sam has giving us. I loved how in the beginning that they were open to having an open relationship only to find them chosen to become loyal to each other. I recommend this book to everyone who loves a good MC book as well as all of Sam's books.

One and Only

I am so in love with this story. Pea and Mel have had an open marriage , strange to most, but it worked for them. There is nothing Pea will not do for her. They decide to become exclusive and their love grows stronger. Now they have a baby on the way. I love the characters in this book and the rest of the series as well. No one can do it like Sam.💛

Giving it to the Man-Whore

I would recommend this book. It was more that just two sex craved people coming together. Mel & Pea story showed how a relationship grows over time to commitment and love. The secondary characters completed the story line since they added intrigue and drama.

PEA & MEL.

Just knew their story was worth the wait and it was money well spent. After having an open married relationship, Pea and Mel decided to make their marriage work and boy did Pea do an awesome.job of being the perfect one woman man. I really hope that Prue and Ricky get a book of their own.

Loved it

I love the story of Pea and Mel. You have to read the first book to really get to know this couple and what they’ve gone through. An excellent story for this series. I hope she writes about the other characters in these books. Either way awesome series.

Mel and Pea

I really think these two were my favorite couple in this series. They had a relationship that no one else understood, but they found their HEA in each other.

This couple appear in previous books, I didn’t like them and didn’t want to read their story. They’ve both spent too much time cheating on one another to turn the situation around IMO

I was curious about this couple from the first I meet them. Pea and Melissa... Two strange, and some would say fucked up people. I don't think a lot saw theirs dynamic changing. Or at least not in that way. Pea was a man-whore. Married one at that! Yeah, I can hear whispered 'Dick!' 'Bastard!' in my head. Lol. And Melissa... Well, at first you would think 'Poor, girl! Married to that cheating bastard!' Then you learn that she's not only fine about it, but she's not an angel herself. Honestly, I had no problem about theirs marriage. Not then, not now. They didn't lie to each other. They gone with open eyes into it. And I guess each their own. But now that Pea and Mel are changing their marriage into something else, it made me to think more about it. Yeah, Pea married Mel to help her and in a way giving her and her sister the club's protection. But also it was like... Well, both weren't ready for anything serious when they first meet. But deep down they knew, that they are it for each other. So, not to lose that chance in the future solution was open marriage. And then we are finding out about another part of theirs marriage. Maybe I should have seen that. But then again, no matter how we try not to, we do judge book by its cover. And Peas cover wasn't impressive, but the inside was another thing. Actually, I was almost blown away what Pea was hiding. It made me thinking... Does any in the club knows the real Pea? Or only what he lets them to see?
If you are with no limitation to your books, you should give Pea and Mel a chance. They may surprise you.
